Previous update on page 48

Bleeding Through

Mrityunjay was out in the forest to search for the hideout of the witch or any sign of her being in the forest. But till mid noon, there was no sign of her. He was returning back to the cottage when he saw the lake and went near it. He smiled looking at it as he remembered how yesterday he and Tara had promised to live together. He was exhausted with the searching so he kneeled down to drink water from the lake. By that time Tara had reached there. She was satisfied seeing him ok on the other side of the lake.

She was about to walk towards him when she saw Kalavati suddenly appearing from nowhere behind Mrityunjay with a sword in her hand. Tara felt like she was again watching the image which she had seen when she was leaving the cottage. Fear rushed through her veins. She wanted to scream and alert Mrityunjay about Kalavati behind him but a lump formed in her throat which prevented her from doing so. Kalavati was so busy in focusing on Mrityunjay that she had not noticed Tara there. Kalavati grabbed the hilt of the sword with both hands and lifted it above her head to attack him.

Suddenly Tara found the strength in her throat and screamed, "Mrityunjay move away from there!"

Mrityunjay lifted his head to look in the direction where Tara was standing and saw white hot fear on her face and turned to look where she was looking and understood why she was pale. Kalavati got distracted with Tara's scream, but she refocused on Mrityunjay and with all her force she charged the sword towards Mrityunjay.

Mrityunjay jumped from his position and rolled on his back away from Kalavati. The sword embedded itself into the ground. Kalavati tried to pull it out but it was of no use. Mrityunjay was on his feet now and looking to and fro between Kalavati and Tara. Tara was standing as still as a statue on her spot, trembling with fear.

"I am not going to leave you today Prince Mrityunjay," Kalavati grumbled under her breath and spread both her hands on her sides, closed her eyes and started murmuring something.

Before Mrityunjay could do anything, Kalavati brought both her palms together and red energy flowed towards him. It locked him to the spot where he was standing, unable to move his hands, legs or any part of his body.

Tara suddenly found the strength in her legs and ran towards the side of the lake where Mrityunjay was trapped. Kalavati was casting spells speedily, one after the other to hurt Mrityunjay, leaving scars and wounds on his arms, chest, and legs and all over his body.

"I am going to kill you today, but not so easily."

An evil smile spread on her face. She twisted his left hand breaking the bone. Just before Kalavati could break his other arm, Tara reached Mrityunjay and threw a stone lying nearby, which unbalanced Kalavati.

As soon as Kalavati lost her balance, Mrityunjay was unlocked from her magic and was about to fall on the ground when Tara grabbed him and sat on the ground with him. Mrityunjay smiled at her with his half open eyes. He was exhausted from all the torture. His face was bruised. He winched when Tara lifted his left hand. A tear escaped Tara's eye on seeing him brutally wounded.

Kalavati regained her balance and barked, "Enough!" and again spread her hands.

"You two have spoiled my plan from the beginning of your lives. Today I will end it for once and for all."

Before Tara could think and do anything, Kalavati cast a spell powerful enough to kill both of them. Mrityunjay was unconscious by now. Tara hugged the unconscious Mrityunjay tightly to her body with one hand and lifted her other hand to stop whatever was coming towards them. A white light left her hand forming an aura around them. The spell which Kalavati had cast clashed with the white shield around Mrityunjay and Tara. Tara didn't understand what was happening but seeing it protected them, she continued to hold it. She kept her hand in the same position to let the white light flow. To Kalavati's surprise, her spell just touched the aura around them and making a loud thud sound rebounded itself towards her. It struck her and she fell on the ground a little bit away from her spot. By now Tara was exhausted from holding her hand to keep the power shield and soon she lost her consciousness.

Kalavati was lying on the ground without any strength. She slowly stood on her feet and came near unconscious Mrityunjay and Tara and lifted the dagger that she possessed to kill them but Guruji reached there in time. He pulled out his dagger and threw it aiming at her hand holding the dagger. She lost her dagger. Seeing Govind coming there, she flew from there.

Govind was returning to the cottage when he heard the thud sound of a spell rebounding and ran in the direction from where the sound came. He saw Kalavati about to stab a dagger into unconscious Tara and Mrityunjay.

As soon as Kalavati flew from the scene, Govind came rushing towards Tara and Mrityunjay. Unconscious Tara's body was still covering Mrityunjay. Her hold was still tight on his unconscious body. Govind rolled Tara aside from Mrityunjay and saw a brutally wounded Mrityunjay. Tara too had some scratches on her face and wrists. Govind fetched some water in his palm and spread it on Tara's face and murmured, "Get up...get up... my love...get up." His voice was full of concern for his daughter.

She slowly opened her eyes. Seeing her alright, he again flew to the lake. Tara was confused when she opened her eyes and sat up straight. She suddenly remembered what had happened just moments ago. She moved to see where Mrityunjay was lying, still unconscious. She cradled his head in her lap and called, "Mrityunjay Mrityunjay."

White hot fear had taken her mind from her. She didn't know what to do. She shook his unconscious body to get some response but there was none. He had a swollen eye, a burn mark on his cheeks, and bleeding wounds all over his body. Govind sprinkled water on Mrityunjay's face and shook him a little. Tears were flowing uncontrollably from Tara's eyes. A tear fell on Mrityunjay's cheeks. His eyes flickered and then slowly opened and he smiled. Seeing him conscious again, Tara hugged him tightly, but soon he was unconscious again. Tara was shocked seeing this. She looked up at Govind helplessly.

"We need to take him back to the cottage. He will be fine soon," he said slowly rubbing her back. He, with help of Tara, brought Mrityunjay back to the cottage.

As soon as they reached the cottage, they placed Mrityunjay on the bed. Govind rushed to prepare some medicine. Tara sat there alongside Mrityunjay holding his hand sobbing slowly. All bad thoughts of what would happen if anything happened to him were running in her mind. She would not survive without him. Govind soon returned with two bowls.

"Tara feed this medicine to him. I am applying this paste on his wound," he said handing over one bowl containing some liquid. She nodded her head in yes and grabbed the bowl. She started feeding him the medicine as she was instructed. When Govind was done applying the paste on the wounds, he went to Tara and kept a hand on her shoulder, "He will be fine soon." And started to walk away from her, but then he stopped and again went back to her and asked, "Would you mind coming out with me? She stood up from her place and followed him outside.

Tara was relieved to see Mrityunjay safe but then Kalavati came to attack him just as Tara had seen in her vision!!!!😛 😛 😛 😛 😊 😊 😊 😊

She warned Mrityunjay just in time and he rolled away from Kalavati!!!!

But Kalavati is not one to let go and she attacked Mrityunjay with her magic!!!!

The sadistic witch that she is, Kalavati is torturing him before she kills him off!!!!😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡

She certainly didn't count on Tara fighting back!!!!😛 😛 😛 😛 😊 😊 😊 😊

Tara grabbed Mrityunjay before he could fall and now she is so upset seeing him in pain!!!!😭 😭 😭 😭

It was now up to Tara when Kalavati cast a very powerful spell!!!👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼

Tara's shield is so powerful that it protected them and Kalavati's spell rebounded!!!!😊 😊 😊 😊 👏 👏 👏 👏

Finally the trio came together and it was a fantastic and action packed face-off of the trio!!!!👏 👏 👏 👏

Thankfully Govind came just in time and Kalavati had to flee!!!! 😊 😊 😊 😊

Tara is devastated to see Mrityunay in this state!!!!😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

Mrityunjay woke up when Tara's tear fell on his cheek, truly kya pyaar hai!!!😊 😊 😊 😊 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ 👏 👏 👏 👏

It is terrible to see Tara in this state!!!!

Govind is there and he knows how to take care of Mrityunjay and the medicines for his wounds!!!!👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼

He probably called Tara outside to ask her about what happened!!!!🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
