Arshi is accused of being a racist because she has commented on Hina's skin condition looking tanned. The definition of racism for those who may not be aware of Racism is prejudice or discrimination against someone of a different race.

So those of you who are blasting her are actually agreeing that Arshi is Afghani and not Indian? This actually makes it legit racist because if both are Indian's then there is no racism. Going by this stupid logic does it also mean Hina herself is a racist because she has a problem with dark skin as she applies face packs to remove her tan?

I think people had more problem with Shilpa's comment rather than Arshi's.
Though, I agree it wasn't racist. It was just in bad taste.

There was nothing remotely racist about what Arshi or Shilpa said. Arshi infact just said that their skin tone looks darker to which Hina said pehle se hi tha. And the article sorry to say is by IF which anyways does the bidding of the high and mighty of the TV industry. Hina ko hero banane ke liye points nahi mile toh dusre ke words ko twist karke unko bura banado.

If talking about one's skin color getting tanned makes it racist then I know how to commander this bus to travel few more stations so it comes back to where it all started. 😆

If you truly accept her that shes Indian (which she is) then she isn't a racist, but if you think she's racist then you are accusing her of being Afghani which in turn makes a case of reverse racism and those agreeing to this as racism.

Race isn't only about nationality. Many white americans are racist because they discriminate against brown/black americans. Same nationality but different skin color so racism can also be about color. Two people could be same nationality and a fair skinned person making derogatory comment on the other's dark skin is racist. If she was demeaning Hina for skin color, that is racist.

Telling someone you got tanned is not racism.
And, neither is shilpa pointing it out that they are already black inside.
It is vicious ❤️ but not racist.

Except Arshi has the same skin complexion as of Hina. Your point would have been valid if she was white. So there is no such thing as different skin color here.
