Guys sorry I couldnt contribute to the discussion completely yesterday as I was having some internet issues and somehow managed to put the analysis. So I want to put some more points about Beyhadh.

As I said I had couple of ends in my mind.

One of course the dark end factfictionmyth was mentioning that Maya is really alive somewhere. But if they didnt wanted to go for the dark end, the best end I had in my mind was which would have been emotionally satisfying for me as viewer is as mentioned below.

Yes Arjun kills Maya and once she dies they do a private funeral as Maya is a criminal so that it cannot be done public, Arjun has to give agni to it. Then Arjun and Saanjh go back. They make Jhanvi speak out the truth of Maya's childhood, what happened to her as Arjun knows certain things, but he makes Jhanvi tell everything where we would have got the truth of Maya's 9th birthday also. Then they name their baby Arya and then they are shown supporting abused children in some way. Especially Saanjh who is a lawyer. Yes Arjun couldnt do complete justice to Maya. But the life with her, her death teaches Saajun something with which they ensure another Maya is not created and a Ashwin is sent to jail on time.

And yes a symbolic lamp in Maya's name each time a child gets justice as she showed them to walk in that path.

This would have ensured the message Arjun had loved Maya, he has love for her but then Saanjh carved out her own space in his world to come out. It would have also shown Saanjh as a mature woman than the girl running behind Arjun and Saajun as a mature couple bringing up their Arya with lots of love and care.

Here all the 3 characters would have been vindicated. There is no guilt, there is no revenge. But a lesson that is learnt helps in bringing out a positive change to the society. Then it would have been Sab Maya hai, Arjun ki Maya in a more clear sense.

Second option would have been someone neutral traces Maya's history. They could have used that doctor in prison who calls Maya her complicated case for this purpose. She goes in search of what happened to Maya as the Maya she saw and the Maya she read are different people and she had an urge to know this woman. It generally happens when people handle complicated cases. Then before Maya runs with the baby this lady somehow comes and tells the truth to Saajun. But Maya dies in childbirth saving the baby. Then of course they could show what I mentioned in the first option.

Basically what I wanted was not any guilt, but the life that moves forward with a better thought process.

But CVs kept everything Maya and of course Jenny made the show special, very special.

I don't think the genes of the career goes into the child biologically but she definitely is no less of a mom

Coming to the ending they gave the ending which you can interpret in your way making all the fandom happy excluding a few of us who wanted some thriller and wanted to kn what exactly Maya was and when she became bad

Thanks Aditi for the wonderful intrepretation of the poem, yes the child actually belongs to 3 of them. It is the product of love, you can say Prem ki beti. Yes Maya's love for Arjun bought that child into the world.

And that scene yes I forgot to mention that scene. That scene was the one because of which I told the child got justice. A mother left the hand of her husband. A mother decided to face the demon alone which Jhanvi couldnt do for Maya. And I feel that was Maya's test also. To check to what extend Saanjh will go for her baby. Because the problem of Maya's life was her mother not standing up for her. When Saanjh went up it was an assurance for her that the child she gave birth will be safe in this woman's hands.

Infact the product of her love will be saved from her pagalpan. Arjun hamare bandar ko mere pagalpan se bachao. yes in a way Arjun saved their Arya from Maya's pagalpan. From Ashwin.

This! Maya was testing whether Saanjh has become Jhanvi's daughter or not is the child safe with her 😆

N Saanjh managed to pass that test.

Yes that line is finally making sense now.

Basically all got a poetic justice. N suffered the punishment of their mistakes

Except Jhanvi ... I really hope Jhanvi died or was killed by Maya or at least had an iota or guilt in her

Then regarding some of the questions. I would say the show dealt with the concept of Maya and in the end opened up to us how Maya works. Or rather Maya ka sach. They didnt delve on the incidents, but only the concept of Maya.

Maya is the most complicated concept that can be taken from mytho. Because it is that difficult to represent illusion as a woman. The concept as a woman. As more than a thriller the concept is philosophical. It showed how Maya is created, how Maya is sustained and how Maya is destroyed. The destruction aspect was more important, Maya can be destroyed only if she wills to get destroyed. And not everyone gets that option. Only love can destroy her, only in love she allows herself to be destroyed. So it is a concept per se. That's why I could connect with the end because I had analyzed the concept more.

Beyhadh has its own merits and they created a character like Maya and I would say they got away with it. 😃. Cinevistaas has given the soap world another iconic character in Maya just like Durga and Sakshi. But unlike Ek Hasina Thi, beyhadh was entirely carried by Jenny as Maya on her shoulders and I was really happy to see Jenny's vacation pic as she surely needs a long vacation after playing such an intense character.

Also aditi that dinner Maya gave Saanjh. Finally Maya opens the door giving that watch to Saanjh asking her to take to Arjun.

Maya doesnt harm Saanjh, she just frightens her. I would say Saanjh went through all the emotions of that dinner. She survived and instead of the watch, this time Maya is giving the baby in Saanjh's hand to give to Arjun. Remember time is yours. Yes she leaves the hand of time by death and gives the time to Saajun to live.

But time couldnt take Maya, because as you rightly said with the child she went to Arjun once again. 😃

@kavsy @shruthi honestly I still doubt if sanjh is related to the baby. I mean it would be the biological child of maya and arjun and maybe the writers left the doubt hovering.

I don't think that Maya got her redemption...i think she finally could let go and maybe find the peace which she never did.

She didn't find redemption because she was not looking for one in my opinion...she till the very end didn't realise that she killed people and she was wrong in doing so.

She wanted Arjun to kill her so that she can finally let go and Arjun can live with the guilt all his life

The first lesson which she taught the new born was lesson of destruction.

This shows that she had no sense of realisation and that she was so broken that all she could teach the baby was the path of destruction and all she could tell her was how empty her life had been...which is pretty tragic in my opinion.

I think more than redemption what Maya got was freedom from the darkness , the emptiness that was within her...she could finally let go.

- Now coming to the baby...i don't think that baby is ArYa baby. . I think she is SaaJun baby who is also Maya's child...the baby belongs to all 3.

At last Maya was able to bring a new life in this world and this may be was a silver lining for her in the end.

- Now coming to Arjun and his guilt - Any sane person will feel immense guilt on killing someone especially when that person happens to be the one whom you loved at one point

However life goes on and time is the biggest healer...even if the baby reminds Arjun of Maya, even if he feels guilty but that will fade with time...he will eventually life his life with Saanjh , with their child , with his family...that is not a bad life in my opinion...yes Maya will remain a part of their life but their lives will move on.

How can Arjun escape prison after killing Maya ? Makers have left options open. They just froze the screen on a dead Mayas face . Didnt show what happened to Saanjh & Arjun ? Now ppl r allowed to make up their own theories that satisfies them. The ones that love the couple will say they will go on to live HEA . 😆 Though no such hint was shown. Only assumptions.

The ones that dont like the couple will see Arjun has to live the rest of his life gulity of killing a defenseless Maya , the woman who loved him beyhadh & dies for him , a failed husband who couldnt be true to any of his vows! Maya cleverly tricked him into killing her knowing he has to live the rest of his life as a murderer . We all saw the impact Maya has on Arjun. The 5 years of his life that he spent when Maya was in prison was never peaceful, Now the rest of his life can never be peaceful either. Sanjh has got her baby & will be engrossed in her . Arjun will live lonely guilt full life just like the pandit had predicted. He had said he would be lonely ! If Vandana Jhanvi and fake Mauritius pandits predictions , blessings , curses can all play out then the real pandit predictions got to play out too who said Arjun will lead a lonely life, all alone. Maya's words making him feel guilty & him breaking down kinda hinted that too. Arjun can never be happy !

But the thing that irks me most is WHY isnt Jhanvi dead ? 🤢
