Nah still doesn't happen that much...may be here and there...its not that the girls don't want to take care of their parents...but most of the times it the parents who don't want to stay with their daughters...ki duniya kya kahegi...apni beti ke paas rehte hain...abhi bahut mindset change hona hai...but I am really surprised by what HKP told...its amazing👏

I am from North Kerala n in our area it's usual for old parents to stay with daughter... infact parents are also more comfortable in staying with daughter than daughter in-law.

Thats nice but her brother is there too to take care. Seems like Ash's PR.

I have heard that Bunts follow matriarchal inheritance. The inheritance is passed on to daughters I think, so parents usually live with daughters.

Really !! 😲 It's amazing custom and should be promoted more at least in our country. 👏 The urge to have at least 1 son because they will be their last straw of hope in their old-age will drastically reduce if this is indeed taken into regular custom across all states/caste. 😊 Hope for a brighter India. ⭐️

Maybe she doesn't want to lose her independence. When you're used to having things your own way it's very difficult to live in someone else's house and not have any say in running the house.

That's such a progressive custom. Wish it gets followed elsewhere too. 👍🏼

Whether it's guys parents or girls they should be treated equally. No parents from either gender should be termed as free loaders @ desigirl this I do not agree with.
My nani stayed with us after my nana passed away, it took us lots of persuading to make her stay with my mom as she belonged to a different generation mindset.

Mindset needs to be changed and should be applied, this does not happen only in our culture but others too.
