I don't like death scenes and I especially didn't want to watch them when my husband is away in India. Now that I can hear the sweet sound of his snoring at night, I caught up with the past two weeks' episodes. I remember I said that I won't create any new topics for this show anymore, but here I am making a new post. I am shameless.
Putting aside the ridiculousness surrounding the memory loss and body swap, I kinda like the track for it is based on the premise that an invisible string pulls them towards each other and binds them together no matter what the circumstances are. And I feel that the creatives will not stretch it so far that they will get Shaurya married to that lady. If they didn't let Mandar take advantage of Mehak's memory loss and trick her into physical relationship with him, I am hoping they wouldn't let Archie trick a depressed/drugged Shaurya into a physical relationship with her either. I am hoping they learnt not to stretch their twists too far and bear the brunt of fan anger and low trps. I am sure they understood by now, how meaningless some of their previous twists were, especially the accident one, because they didn't know where to draw the line. Had they shown Harish as the drunken one behind the wheel and Shaurya was forced to cover up due to emotional pressure from Karuna it would have been much better. Harish is both a wife beater and child abuser and he got away. Now he is just a silly old man making stupid jokes. I wish they did this one track differently. Anyway, no use digging the past. I will just pretend that the old Harish Khanna did the accident and went to jail for it and Karuna divorced him and married another Harish Khanna, the new one. That makes it all better.
About Shaurya agreeing to marry Archie, I think he is just a shell of his old self. He agreed due to pressure from Karuna and Archie's assurance that they are going to be just friends. May be he thought his mother won't pester him to marry anyone else if he marries Archie, who only wants to be his friend. He still doesn't feel good when he has to do the wedding rituals with Archie. For him only Mehak is his wife. Karuna is a selfish mother and she cares only for Shaurya's happiness. She doesn't care about Mehak or any other girl that's going to suffer for her son's happiness. Right now she wants Shaurya to forget about Mehak so he can lead a normal life. She will do anything to secure that.
A word of advice for Kanta, please don't shake the Monal baby so bad. She could break that baby's neck! I was really scared for the baby when she was holding the baby without supporting the neck and was shaking him so vigorously! But the words she said about Archie and Shaurya being forced into marriage by Karuna, without even letting Shaurya come out of mourning, I agree with her. If the family didn't come out of mourning yet, how can the life partner come out of it so soon?! Of course, she goes overboard and hates the guy for it. That's Kanta for you.
I don't have any problem with Mehak and Shaurya becoming foster parents to Neev. Actually I find it really beautiful. Relationships of heart are stronger than relationships of blood. Isn't that what the story about?! Both Shaurya and Mehak were raised by foster parents. This would be perfect way to take the story forward. It would be even more beautiful if Mehak gives birth to a baby girl later and they have a perfect family. I like little kids in shows, though they can be a pain for the director if they don't understand the nuances of acting in front of the camera quickly. I love the boy who plays Neev. Hope they write some beautiful pleasant tracks from here.
Last but not the least, Samiksha looks so pretty even in this village belle attire. Only thing I would like to say is that she needs to do something about the tiny bit of belly flab she has. She has a straight body, so even a little bit of flab takes away the shapeliness of her body. May be she can do some waist training coupled with exercise and diet, I don't know. But she needs to do something about it so she can have a long career and she knows the importance of staying fit and fabulous in the career she chose. I love Karan's new look. As always, he looks perfect. With the amount of butchering they did with the characters, I can easily say that its Karan and Samiksha that draw me to this show now and not the characters or the story. I watch the star plus show on the same time slot, but I still can't give this show up just because of these two. I love watching them.
