Khans don't force anyone, they just strong arm exhibitors , beg them, threaten them, buy them to make sure they get all the best screens, the majority of the screens and they usually have the countries top production houses and distributors on their team too telling distributors that if they don't get their screen, the production houses next will not be screened. Considering how much money is spent on marketing by the 3 Khans inside and outside the theatres, 2 for 1 tickets, free popcorn, prime shows what chance does the other film have?

Hrithik, Akshay, Ajay have all learnt the hard way. GLad AD has hit it out of the park. It was disgusting to read how shows were being shared between the 2nd biggest franchise in Bollywood and a low budget niche film.

Eid = Mostly films release on Friday & if eid falls on Tue/Wed, it is 5 days Ramadan period in which muslim audience doesn't come. EID has 1 Holiday on EID Day, National Holiday, rest no National Holiday.

Diwali = Diwali Holiday is weakest as Collections don't come in Evening or even pre-diwali. Only 1 Next Day is Biggest. Only 1 day.

Xmas = 1 Day Holiday.

You are sounding as if These holidays have Month long holidays & then only Khans have made success?

TEPK = Came on 11th August, 14th was Janmashtmi, 15th was ID. From Sat Evening to Tue Night, Akki got 5 day extended Holiday RUN, what happened?

BANG BANG = 6 Days Holidays From Oct 2.

SINGHAM RETURNS = Again Independence Day Opening

BAJIRAO MASTANI = XMAS Release

GOLMAAL AGAIN = DIwali Release

AIRLIFT / RUSTOM / SINGH IS BLING / JUDWAA 2 = All Holiday Releases.

List is long... everyone has got BIG HOLIDAYS, only KHANS Connect more with audience.

Actually in Eid , Muslim audience will watch any movie as they dont watch movies in Ramadan in 30 days , regardless of how good or bad it is .
Diwali has the most lucrative day of the year in terms of box office with a bhai duj holiday to follow
Christmas + New year has many holidays with school/college vacation .

and please dont even try to bring republic say date in comparison , that is literally the worst period to have a movie release.
