If Sonakshi did not want to get back with Dev I don't think she would have comeback to Delhi at all with Soha

@Asha2012 I guess everyone pretty much here has summed as to why one feels for Dev more than Sonakshi, as I have said multiple times the marriage failed because of mistakes of both Dev & Sonakshi,
Only one cannot be blamed but time and again it was only Dev who admitted & then tried to rectify those mistakes yet somehow few of us felt that the similar effort could not be seen from Sonakshi and hence the prejudice toward Dev. Nobody is undermining the effort & achievement of Sonakshi all these years but unfortunately what everyone forgot is Dev & Ishwari both as well have struggled in fact in much adverse situation but unfortunately the makers have portrayed Sonakshi's struggle in such a way that all of Dev's and Ishwari's effort look miniscule. Even if we forget Dev for a moment can we ignore Ishwari's struggle and for me the makers have ruined her character in equal measure just like they did to the characters of Dev & Sonakshi.

Coming to the above bolded lines, are you talking about the time when she was back with six month old Suhana, if that's what you are referring to then I agree but if you are talkin about the time she returned with Suhana after seven years then no I do not agree to it at all because she came for receiving her award and solving her business issue with absolutely no intention of revealing about Suhana, in fact she tried to hide Suhana and if it were not for Dev finding out on his own then probably he would never have known about his daughter, in fact if I remember correctly even Jatin questioned her about whether it was right to hide Suhana from Dev. In fact if she really wanted to get back with Dev she would never have made him sign the document to meet his own daughter, so I do not believe she returned to Delhi after seven years to reconcile with Dev.

My POV, not intended to hurt anyone.

I am not one who enjoys Sona's failure. I know how important it is for women also to work for various reasons. Despite admiring those women who could sacrifice their career for children I also acknowledge the need to work as I am a working woman.

Sonakshi if stays at home for three days and let Dev manage his office for three days that would be acceptable for me. Or they can decide whoever needs to be in the office..and who can work from home on a daily basis. But I never swallow what they are showing in the name of role reversal. I am sorry I can't compare Dev!/ situation with your friends who preferred it .. To me Dev still has a lot of zeal, energy, focus, commitment, enthusiasm, intelligence to reach higher levels. Above all he should not hurt Iswari's sentiments by opting to throw away his hard earned success.

Like JALK said winning and losing hardly matters when you manage to win as a person by being concerned and reciprocative to people who love you. Dev proved he is the man par excellence who can sacrifice his most precious thing for the sake of Sonakshi. He proved his love. Now Sonakshi's turn. Till now she remained insensitive towards Dev and his sacrifice. Time to prove herself. Winning projects is nothing before proving your undaunted love for a husband who is a great lover.

I hope I conveyed my point well.

I am afraid I cannot see everyone up in arms against Sona all the time here. Why isn't anyone here able to see dev's mistakes as well beats me. I am not saying that only Dev was wrong - both did not try to save their marriage the first time

@Asha2012 With respect to the above lines it's not that everyone cannot see Dev's mistakes, in fact it has been highlighted so much that nobody can ignore it but at the same time everyone can see the guilt he has for making those mistakes and the effort he has made to rectify those and in fact still doing that but can the same be said about Sonakshi, unfortunately No and that's why the feeling is everyone is up in arms against Sonakshi, what everyone wants is little effort from her to acknowledge her mistake and Dev's importance in her life before Dev just like Dev has done it so many times, hope I was able to convey the message I wanted to.

Again just my POV, no offence.

You cannot compare physical abuse to Dev saying get out .Dev was a good husband back then as well .The incident you mentioned happened later when Sona had already decided to leave Dev. if Dev hurted Sona with words then Sona did the same as well .Calling someone loser, spineless ,mamma's boy infront of his family is no less than a insult .

I never said Sona was the only one who made mistakes even Dev did but the only difference is Dev redemed himself by accepting his mistakes ,apologizing for it and trying to rectify it .I cannot the same about Sonakshi. The reason I dislike Sona is she cannot own her mistake and often plays blame game .This holier than thou attitude irks most of the people .Time and again I have said she is not the example of strong independent women but she is the weakest women who cannot own her mistakes .

I don't think Dev did even 10% of what Sonakshi did to him post leap .For whatever reasons she hid his daughter from him for freaking 7yrs and still had the audacity to make him sign papers asking him to forgo Soha's custody .Has Dev done anything equivalent to that ? On top of that she doesn't correct her daughter who calls her father as Mr Dixit and asks him to prove himself .If she really had high moral sense then she would have told Soha the truth .Even after Dev proving himself his tortures don't end .He is compared to Jatin and he has to fight with so called Soha's god father to spend time with his daughter.Add to that her father insults him continuously.Even a worst enemy is not treated the way Bose did to Dev in their house .Have these Boses apologized to him ? Ishwari has done that to Sona many times now .

I am not against role reversal but the execution of the track sucks big time .I don't blame Sonakshi or Dev but the makers here .

Lastly disliking one of the lead characters spoils the fun of watching your fav show .I would rather love Sonakshi like I did pre leap than dislike her .All I am looking for is Sonakshi acknowledging her mistakes ,genuinely feeling sorry for it and stop sending Dev on guilt trips .Dev has done his part now waiting for Sonakshi

Let's agree to disagree- I still feel that if dev was as mahaan as people think then he should have made some.effort to find out where Sona was in the seven years in between.
As far as dev's comparison with jatin is concerned that stopped after Dev and Sona got together again in season 2 - I still stand by what said earlier - if Sona wanted she could have kept Sona away from dev for the rest of his life and Dev would have been unaware. Pls don't misunderstand me I am not saying she is the ideal woman - far from it - I am only saying they were both at fault. If Sona asked him to sign the papers, didn't he flaunt his girlfriends in front of her- they both behaved abominably in that phase.
If dev was treated badly in sona's house so was Sona in dev's house - when he forced her to sleep in the guest bedroom and when Mami kept taunting her. That stopped only after the khatri thing was resolved. Dev himself insulted her about how she set up her business in such a short span! Hence in that phase both were bad with each other.

Sorry for spoiling the mood of the thread - thought of putting my point accross and got a little carried away.

Cheers
Asha

@asha, it's an open forum and everyone is free to express their views without disrespecting fellow members. So never ever feel sorry for expressing your views. But along with that at least try to understand what others are saying. Going by all the replies every one is saying the same thing that both are at fault. But what we all are saying and you are ignoring is that only Dev and ishwari acknowledged their mistakes and also corrected but the same didn't happen from Sona and bijoy side. We want to see her trusting and respecting dev the way he does. All in all we want to see her as a wife to dev in real sense.

I just had a wild thought and wanted to share. 😆 😆 . What if the game admin of that game is actually Mr. Takkar. The one with whom Vickky conspired and took 10 cr Rs. What if he targeted Golu as a revenge for what happened that time and he blames Vickky for it. The other kids playing are collateral damage and for covering his tracks so that he doesn't get caught. He wants to destroy Vickky and since he cannot touch him without getting caught, he is using this method.

Not intended to hurt anyone, but wanted to say what was in my mind. 😃. It will be poetic justice where Vickky who tried to ruin Dev and his family is ruined by the very same person with whom he partnered to do so. Kind of like falling in the grave that you dig for others. And in a way that will close the loop on that circle.

Dear all
A very very happy Diwali and prosperous new year to all the readers on this thread!!

I just wanted to say that I will refrain from posting on this thread from now on as I know me and my views are not welcome here. Just like u all pointed out that I should understand the views of other people (read majority of the writers on this thread) none of you evert tried to look at Dev and Sona from my point of view.

I will still continue to hold the view that Sona is not at cruel or cold hearted or evil or manipulative or a liar like most of you think she is. As an individual I think we are all entitled to our own views. I get a very uncomfortable feeling here that I am being judged for my views, which is not acceptable to me anyways.

You all are free think that the dixit family is the best and the Bose family is full of hypocrites and liars and people who don't practice what they preach. You may feel that Dev should have married Natasha. Oh Gujral was such a nice person and I don't think he would have stopped short of manipulating Dev through Natasha if they had married. No no that's fine Na because Natasha is so much sweeter than Sona - Natasha was such a cutie pie!!!!! It requires a lot of courage to stand up for what you believe is right.

Anyways I am getting carried away again.

Cheers and have a wonderful day.

Asha

@Asha2012 Apologies that you felt that people are judging you based on your views but believe me nobody on this thread has ever done that, it's a free forum and everyone is entitled to express their views without any filter or hesitancy. Fair to say when their is a discussion there will be views & counter views to it, so there is definitely bound to be some friction but then again this is a Virtual world in which we are discussing and that too on fictitious characters so do not take everything by heart. Just like you have said that "None of us has tried to look at Dev & Sonakshi from your point of view, I guess the same holds true from the your side as well wherein probably you did not try to look at Dev and Sonakshi from our point of view and it is absolutely fine as you do not have to agree with everything which we have said or vice versa, but never let that make you opinionated about people which sorry to say but unfortunately you have done it in the last paragraph which again is fine as probably you just got carried away as you have said and it happens to everyone. But all in all just because people do not agree with you do not restrict yourself from expressing your views, apologies if you have felt offended with any of my words.

Wish you a very happy Deepavali & a prosperous new year.

Hi

Thanks for the post. I loved the way you have worded your post - very clear and polite.

I genuinely tried to look at Dev and Sona from the point of view put forward by all of you and I think the views are more prejudiced towards Dev.

And as far as being opinionated is concerned, I am afraid what I have written in the last para is just what's been written about the Bose family in some posts earlier on this thread. Even Natasha being a better partner for Dev has been written and quoted many times.

I just feel that sometimes the tone of the posts is very harsh on Sona. sorry I did not mean to offend anyone.

Cheers
