May be I'll give another try to RKC now that I am outside the spell of IPK3 Chick...😆 Binge watching will probably work better...no time for analysis...😃

Another romantic story with the R word (yeah the wiki did say Revenge) for Woh Din...seems like something I should try to stay away from...😛

Are you guys watching This is Us at all? Not sure if it is available in the UK or India yet...All my American friends are crazy about it...

About Diwali...yes will do something...but it's a weekday...with kids having schools on the day and the following day...so not much can be done...Joys of living abroad...

We go to a friend's place to celebrate...do Puja, Indian clothing, fire works and so on...I may take the day off or at least work from home to get a bit more time for all that...instead of wasting it on the commute...Karwa Chowth came on a Sunday...which was a lucky break and allowed me to go to the temple ...which I had never done before...It is funny...because my mom doesn't do it...(it's not big in the part of India I am from) and MIL doesnt do it because hubby is Sikh...so it is purely movie inspired for me and younger SIL who are the only two people in the house who do it...😆

G...how is your DD doing? Does she like the new ZAYN SIA song? Heard about Theresa May having that coughing fit the other day...poor woman! The whole incidence of this guy giving her a pink slip and then the coughing fit was so bizarre!!

Hello all

I usually decorate my home with diyas and rangoli but this year all my stuff is packed and stored in storage. If my basement gets finished quick enough then will be able to do it else😭

My food prep already started since daughter is home for thanksgiving. She loves Indian snacks. Other than that its party season and will go to temple, do puja, if weather permits then fire crackers too.

Chick - Un dino ki baat is nostalgic. Especially its showing my city and my school. Yesterday the tv and the cabinet too was so in at that time. You had to cover the tv and lock it in😆. That digital phone and the dial phone too. The makers have taken care of many things. Are they going to drag the childhood drama for ever?

Sush am not watching This is us. With RKC and now this un dino ki baat i have my hands full. I have not heard that talk show on Radio. I don't think we get it here😕

Hola folks...so I watched today's episode of RKC...didn't have the patience to watch the back episodes...and decided to jump straight to the present...The characters are a bit difficult to follow...but I got the gist of it...Definitely interesting...The girl is quite good...reminds me of some one from my mom's hometown...street smart...straight forward...doesn't give a damn kind...

Didn't quite get who this Dheeru is and what relation he has to the company or to the ML...may be someone can clarify that for me? I feel like I have seen the actor somewhere before.

Let's see how it goes,,,,will watch a few episodes...screenplay is tightly written...hopefully it stays like this.

I now have too many shows started ...Haven't caught up with Lucifer either...May be that's next...

BHavi Delilah is a radio host who plays love songs on request...sometimes she just selects and plays songs for people who are broken hearted...Her show is syndicated through out the country and I have been listening to her since college days...Her show is quite amazing...

I think in the movie...Sleepless in Seattle...Tom Hanks kid calls up her show which is where he connects with Meg Ryan...if I remember it correctly...

There is also a song...Hey there Delilah...which may have been inspired by her name...it is quite pretty...give a listen...

Oh never mind...it wasn't Delilah who was the radio show host in the movie Sleepless in Seatle...it was some one named Marcia...but she sounds like Deliliah (who actually sounds even better) ...but the scene is written around a talk show like Delilah's ...I am sure that's what they must have been thinking about when they wrote the scene...

When is your thanksgiving Bhavi? Already cooking food? For Diwali ...I do divya's too...but not Rangoli...Hats off to you for doing it so properly!!

DD is taking PSAT at his Saturday...has not even looked at the test...She is very head strong...I mean it won't count this year...but one would think of at least looking at it ...right? She was reading her book...watching movie...when she got a little time over the weekend...which is fine ...one needs to relax...but she is really care not...about it...

I am on a binge...watched the season 2 premier of Lucifer as well...It's mysterious now...!

Let him enjoy the childhood while he is still young Chick...It gets really busy for kids when they are in high school. They say for boys it takes a bit longer to develop the maturity to start taking things more seriously any way...I am feeling that with my younger one... 😊

Alright...watched another episode of RKC...

So the girl is so upset that the investigating officer took a strand of hair from her to get a DNA test that she throws mirchi in his eyes and then hits him on both hands while he is hanging by the ledge apologizing?? 😲

Hmmm...that's a bit extreme! Can't say I find much charm in rudeness ...! She could have declined to help because he was indeed intruding...but hitting his hands was not warranted...

The story is well written though...screen play is very tight...They do seem to have a well thought out concept and a clear idea on how to execute it...

Watched the promo of Dil Sambhal ja zera...didn't get the point

Sush - I know Anami is zhalli. She is on rampage. She is one 17 year old who has been uprooted twice and so is at her worst behavior. For her trust is everything. I think that mirchi was not intentional. But for sure hitting with two sticks was a bit much. But if you listen to her dialogues- she herself admits she does not care about the results and acts the way she thinks has to.

Yes the story, the screen play, dialogues,characters every thing about the show is crisp and above notch. For the first time i am seeing something like this on Indian show.

I am sorry that the link took you to some spam. Sabserial is good site to watch the indian shows. I always watch it on that site. It hosts links from daily motion, desitv etc etc.

I find that kids these days are too head strong. I am banging my head against them. PSAT is for the school ratings isn't it? My daughter said why should i study since its not my marks its school's mark. If teacher does not teach well then too bad for them. 😲 Then i found out that mostly teachers work in class with them with previous years paper.

In any case some of the things they speak i can not even think of telling that to my parents even today.

I am not watching Lucifer or This is us. May be later after diwali.

I got those ready made rangolis from India. I just put that. I don't have time to make the one with color. When kids were young i would ask them to make it out of pulses.

She is only 17? Too early to have an ML then...! THe story already seemed to be going in the romantic direction ...Anywho...I don't have a problem with the jhalli part...that's the care free part that I actually liked ...it is the rude part that I don't like...There is no reason or justification to hit a person (yes even if he is a guy) who is apologizing ...as if you have every right to do so.

Oh well...I find many desi FLs to practice extreme behavior in one way or the other...which is what makes a dramatic story I guess...

What works for the show is the tightly written story...reminds me of Khandaan serial from way bak when ...remember that? But that was a limited episode series so the concept worked...not sure how this will work with an unlimited episode series...I guess we will see a never ending cycle of conspiracy...and power shifting...Any way all that matters is how good the show remains for the time anyone chooses to watch...For now it is tightly written...

Yes...kids are too headstrong now a days...Mine is only in 10th grade right now...so PSAT apparently won't count for anything...but next year...it decides the National Meirt Scholarship ...which is a prestigious thing...It does benefit the school also...so your DD has a point about that!

I have no idea who those people in the trailer are...haven't seen them before...The guy resembles Anil Kapoor...

I really like Lucifer...which I have seem more of then This is Us so far...The FL is really strong, but also very mature and an extremely nice and caring person ...She is a single mother...and guess what...before becoming a police officer...she starred in a semi po*n movie ...So has a not so glorified past...😆 Imagine accepting someone like her as a FL in a desi show...❓

There are premade rangolis??? I need to check my Indian store for them...it would be lovely to get those 😃
