He didn't want to be here. His success, that seemed like happiness, now suffocated him. He loosened the tie around his neck. He didn't want to be here. His promising future scared him. He seemed to have lost his way. Oh dear God, what am I doing here?

She had been a pleasant distraction from his anxieties. He had noticed her rapidly moving lips first, their movement confident, a sharp contrast to his own anxious stance.. And her business suit clad figure androgynous, he had noted. He had looked up to her eyes, then, and found them looking right at him. The rest had been a blur. He still doesn't know how long his claustrophobic self had endured confinement.

"Who are you? Who sent you here? Did Mittal send you? Answer me!"

"How many times do I have to tell you? I am the new recruit. I interned at Lucknow branch for past two years. You can check with the administration. My name is Arnav Singh Raizada."

"Where is your appointment letter?"

"I... I.. lost it somehow. But I did show it to the receptionist. You can ask her."

"You are lying."

"Why would I lie? Ask your administration. I interned at the Lucknow office for past two years."

"We sure will Mr. Raizada. But till then you can't leave this building. Security!!"

"What? Are you going to lock me up? You can't do that."

"Yes I can Mr. Raizada. You have been in a confidential meeting where only my client and the lawyers representing them are allowed, in the pretext of being a lawyer from our firm. And you have no proof to claim yourself as one."

"I told you. I am the new recruit. I was directed to this room. Mr. Akash interviewed me and appointed me from the Lucknow office. You can't.. you can't lock me up. Pl.. please." Tremble in his voice had shamed him.

"Mr. Jha, please accompany Mr. Raizada to the third floor, clients meeting room? Make him comfortable. And yes, lock the door."

I like this bitchy and obnoxious Khushi. I can't help but picture Arnav though. Old habits. I wonder if they had an office here though cause I get that vibe somehow. Can't wait to find out what exactly Arnav did or Khushi assumes he did for it all to go downhill.
