I find tv better cos tv celebs work so hard. Every day they shoot for episodes and have to be entertaining in every one. Whereas in movies the celebs only are there onscreen for few hours and then it's done they're judged based on that. Tv celebs work like hell imo and don't really get any respect on this forum and only bollywood celebs are praised which isn't right.

I agree. TV celebs work extremely hard and unlike BW actors don't receive the kind of appreciation they do. They're considered second class. Personally, I don't get the difference between Barun, Sanaya, Adaa, Mouni, Hina etc from TV and BW actors. With some grooming and proper promotions, they can be stars too but they don't get that kind of backing. People don't realise how much proper backing makes a difference in BW.

What I find funny is that BW uses TV hunks and babes to play actors in movies like Karan Tacker, Aamir Ali, Vivaan Bhatena etc. 😲 This just goes to show what BW thinks actors are 'supposed' to look like and what they actually look like.

Yes and people want fresh faces unlike movies where star power does count. Most TV protagonists are in the 18-35 age range. Every story starts with an 18-25 year old girl. So, you can't have the same faces playing these characters in a show that airs daily.

I actually feel bad for TV actors at times 'cause they are ghar ki murgi daal barabar when compared to BW actors despite there not being a huge gulf in terms of talents or looks (since it matters).

TV actors know this too which is why they always try to transition to movies.

i think all this is because of the crooked trp system.
for example the show i followed in 2009 i.e. Bandini was trp success even though it sucked after one year. and, in 2015 it was re-aired by Zee Anmol and it was always in top 2-5 in the rural BARC charts but not in urban because nobody watched reruns.
so, the rural audience is willing to watch anything that is served on their screens because most of the channels like star or zee might not be available to them. in most places these channels need a separate subscription and i doubt that rural audience will pay 200 bucks extra for channels.

secondly, the BARC only covers 30000 households whereas the tv viewing population is around 674.5 million people. This is a faulty system to begin with.

True. It is faulty. It doesn't take into account many people's preferences so effectively, TV honchos are only catering to these 30000 households and no one else. This is why so many young people don't watch Indian TV these days 'cause there are no shows which they would want to watch. Some shows which are kinda sensible get pulled off air 'cause the TR(A)P audience don't like them.

I know right, so many tv actors/actresses are more goodlooking than bolly actors/actresses. Plus there isn't much ageism on tv and there's many age-appropriate couples which is a welcome relief from the constant 50 year old heroes romancing heroines half their age.

I have bashed gul a lot because I believe she aged shame sanaya, it came as a bit of a shock too because she never seemed the age shaming type to me...she also said sanaya wouldn't have suited the role...while she is entitled to her opinion, I couldn't disagree more...chandni is similar to paro ad while I don't think sanaya as paro was flawless I do believe she acted better than barun did as advay and shivani did as chandni.

The show sucked...characters changed within a week, whatever intensity there was dumbed down within a week, pigeons made to fly and poop by using a remote control, the heroine's inconsistent PTSD,her forcing the hero's fiancee to tie rakhi to him days after she saw the said fiancee seducing the hero🤢.At least respect the relation of bhai behen.
The writer has nothing else to show in IB other than the male lead's marriages but this is a new low altogether...I keep thinking how a writer can be so bad.

Can't speak for Surbhi...
Regarding Barun;

I personally didn't like Barun's comeback with Gul...
Actually almost all the Indian dramas are like same old wine in a new glass!

Barun has the skill to pull off any type of character. He just needs to work a bit on dialogue delivery...

Saw the trailer of THMS...wonder why an Indian drama cannot be made as simple as this without typical saas bahu rona dhona!!!

^ Clarity, i am following Star Bharat's saam dam and nimki. They both are story oriented and the cast is doing such ana amazing job. But, they hardly get 0.9 or 0.8 trps. It has been so long since i have followed a show religiously. I mean there are no longer intriguing characters which are compelling enough. Uff! But, Saaam Daam and Nimki are keeping my interest atm.

No one's career has been doomed because of anyone...

Both the actors mentioned are doing well in their professional life...(though I know, some people will differ from this, and will give examples of IPKKND3 😆)

Surbhi has done finite series of sphere origin on star plus called "koi laut ke aaya hai" and recently was seen on thriller series "Dev" by peninsula pictures... I think both this PH has nothing to do with Gul, correct me if I am wrong

And as for Barun Sobti, thanks for your concern 😊 about his career... ... As of now his career looks promising to me with his movie releasing this Friday...

P.S.- before anyone come charging on me with failure of IPKKND3, despite being one of the hard-core Sobtians, I say it openly I am glad that IPKKND3 is ending, that serial was trash from start without any concrete storyline and writers of the serial were smoking pots while writing it... It wasn't worth his time
