Riya cries in pain: Alok!!... Please...stop...please...

Alok: are? Aise kaise? Galti ki hai...toh saza bhi bhugatni padegi na?

Riya's hand was throbbing in pain, as she nodded negatively in an effort to try and save herself but the next second Alok plunges her face in the water...

Shocked and traumatized Riya struggles as the water blares her senses entering her eyes, ears and nose...her breath suffocating

Alok pulled her outside! Gasping and panting for breath she tried to regain her senses

Alok: aur agar dobara aisa kiya toh...and he plunged her for the second time.

Riya's senses malfunctioned again as the water stifled and smothered her. She struggled trying to get out of it but to no avail...

A few seconds later he pulls her back and she grappled for breath

A small voice came out of her: mumma...nahi...

Alok ignores her: warna tumhari agli galti ki saza tumhare bhai ko chukani padegi, samjhi?

He plunged her again...punishing her brutally!!! She could feel nothing but the liquid around her, she could feel the water entering her lungs as she asphyxiated, her mind stated feeling numb unable to protest

He pulled her out when he saw her body limping. Riya fell at his feet and screamed as loudly as she could straining her vocals which were sore due to the waterboarding...

Riya: please!!! Stop!!! I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!! Main...main dobara nahi karungi...please...sorryy!!!

Her voice faded away as she fainted

Flashback 2

Arjun didn't know how to react, he had never imagined she had gone through such torment.

Riya: please...tum...tum bhul jao sab kuch...please

But he could never do that! He couldn't leave her in this hell hole, collecting himself and putting his emotions away he tries to persuade her

Arjun cups her face: aisa kuch nahi hoga Riya... Na Alok ko kuch pata chalega aur na hi tumhare chacha- chachi ko, main Veer ko dhundhuga

Riya: par kaise?

Arjun: tumhare dhundhne aur ek police waale ke dhundhne mein farak hota hai Riya... Veer ko main dhundhkar rakhunga aur kisi ko kuch pata nahi chalega... I promise!

Riya: tum mere liye kyun ye sab kar rahe ho?

Arjun: kya tum sach mein nahi jaanti?

Riya lowers her eyes: I'm not worth it

Arjun: tumhe ye sab sochna ki zaroorat nahi hai, agar zaroorat hai toh yeh socho ki mere jaane ke baad tum mujhse milogi kaise

Riya(skeptically): tum mujhe order de rahe ho?

Arjun smiles mischievously: something like that

A small smile crept on her lips as she shook her head. Arjun felt lost in the first twinkle of her eyes he had ever seen. Unable to stop himself, he kissed her forehead and she lost herself in his arms...

Flashback Ends

Veer immediately hugs Riya taking her by surprise

Riya: kya hua?

Veer(tearfully): aapne mere liye itna kuch saha? Main...

Riya sighs: chup! Bilcul chup! Khabar daar jo ek aur shabd kaha toh

Veer: lekin di...

Riya glares at him silencing him. Veer cowers. Riya softens her stand.

Riya: maine tujhe kaha na...ab bhul jao sab kuch. jo beet gaya hai woh laut kar nahi aata Veer toh uske baare mein sochkar kyun apne man ko dukhi karna?

Understanding and trying to keep her happy Veer cheers himself up: aap sahi keh rahi ho...(smiling) ab Alok ka chapter khatam, chacha chachi jaaye bhaad mein, ab sirf hum aur humari khushiyaan!!

Riya smiles and they hug each other tight. Suddenly a ringtone breaks their peaceful moment. Riya's eyes lit up at the caller ID.

Riya: ha Arjun...kaha? ok main aati hun...bye...(blushing) me too.

Disconnecting the call, Veer asks her: aap jaa rahe ho?

Riya smiles: jaldi waapis aa jaungi

Veer: pakka?

Riya: dinner saath mein karenge

Veer's face lights up, Riya kisses his forehead and turns to get ready.

Veer: acha suno na!!

Riya: bolo

Veer: aate waqt mere liye chocolate lekar aana

Riya: ab toh bada ho ja

Veer: no ways...(teasingly) mumma

Riya flares up: main tumhari maa nahi hun!!! Tujhe kitni baar bola hai mujhe maa mat bula

Veer: you are my bloody sister, I can call you the hell I want!!!

Riya(bored): oh get lost

Veer: try!!

Riya: ugh!!! Why I do even bother?

And moves out. Veer smiles and throws himself back on the bed, thinking about all his sister had told him.

In another part of the city, Arjun was sitting in an almost empty garden, thinking about the twists that had occurred in his the past few months of his life. The first time he saw Riya...

Flashback

Arjun was at the doorstep of Alok's house mv "ye admi bhi na...zabardasti mujhe yaha bula liya, acha khaasa hotel mein tha...pehle pata hota ki woh uska hai toh kisi aur mein room book karta

Sighing, he rang the doorbell. The door was opened by Alok in a few seconds and the two of them greeted each other with a hug.

Arjun: kaisa hai?

His gaze fell on the lady standing inside as he hugged his friend causing only one thought to occur in his mind...

Arjun mv "beautiful!...

Alok: are abhi kal hi toh baat ki thi... Anyways(holding Riya by the waist he brings her forward) meet my wife of three years... Riya

Arjun(surprised): wife?? Three years?? When the hell did you marry? Hume bataya tak nahi? Mv "ye Alok ki Biwi hai?

Alok: are yaar woh actually...sab kuch itna jaldi ho gaya ki puch mat

Arjun's heart sank a little but then teased his friend, happy for him: jaldi mein toh shaadi hui thi, teen saal tak kya kar raha tha?(teasingly) Ya fir abhi tak yaad nahi aaya ki teen saal ho gaye?

Flashback ends

Despite trying to stay away from her, he couldn't help but fall for her every time he saw her with Alok, whether she carrying out her duties or when she did numerous small and subtle things to keep him happy...only one thing came to his mind mv "perfect life partner!! little did he know he know if she wouldn't do that then she would have to face more of Alok's wrath! He remembered when he had almost spilled the beans...

Flashback

Riya was cooking dinner when Arjun entered the kitchen for a glass of water.

Arjun: Riya...(Riya shifts her focus from the vegetable to him) Alok kab tak aayega?

Riya checked the wall clock: use toh abhi time lagega

Arjun: woh humesha late hota hai kya?

Riya mv "pehle late aayega fir drink karega fir dinner karega fir dessert ke liye mujhe torture karega tab jaa kar uska routine khatam hoga...rascal!! : shayad kaam ki wajahse

Arjun nods: hmmm...waise agar if you don't mind me asking...ek baat puchu?

Riya looks at him with slight suspicion: pucho

Arjun: tumhari aur Alok ki shaadi aise achanak ho gayi, love marriage thi?

Riya(putting the rice to boil): achanak love nahi arrange marriage hoti hai...(looking at him) par tum ye sab kyun puch rahe ho

Arjun : are woh actually usne kabhi tumhare baare mein kuch bataya nahi, hume toh pata bhi nahi tha ki uski shaadi kab hui? Kaise hui? Yaha aaya toh pata chala tum uski wife ho toh...isliye.. aur tumhe pata hai, woh humse humesha kehta tha ki uski shaadi sabse aakhir mein hogi lekin sabse pehle usiki ho gayi

Riya(curiously): toh tum logon mein se kisi ki shaadi nahi hui Alok ke siwa?

Arjun: nahi na... humara teesra dost haina Sameer uski girlfriend hai lekin shaadi ka abhi tak koi ata-pata nahi

Riya: aur tum?

Arjun sighs dramatically: meri toh kuch bhi nahi hai, na biwi na girlfriend

Unknowingly a smile creeps on her lips: kyun? Kisi khaas ka intezaar?

Arjun feels lost in her smile: hmm... tumhari...(Riya's eyes widen a little, realizing he covers up) jaisi... Loyal, apne pati se pyaar karne waali, aur jise mera dil jud jaaye...jaise tumhara aur Alok ka.

Riya doesn't answer for a few seconds and focuses on her task: I'm sure jiske naseeb main tumhara saath likha hoga woh bahot khush naseeb hogi
