Most of the actresses who have made good come back after marriage are those who are married to Bollywood. Sridevi, Rani's husbands produce film for them. (Even Ravenna Tondon). Ajay has bought a film's right to produce for Kajol. People like Madhuri and Juhi don't get that luxury.
Aishwarya, Vidya, Kareena (though their husbands do not make films) are very much visible in films circles due to their association with the filmy family and get offers. (Karishma could not continue with her career).

Being a home-wrecker has it's perks... Let that be a lesson to BW actresses, wreck a producer/directors home instead of non-filmi person

I am sure they already know that, but not everybody is lucky like Sridevi, Rani...

People need to hop off of Kajol's case. Your blatant hatred is showing. She rejected those movies because she had the ability and stature as a star to do so. It has nothing to do with nepotism.

And all these people who cannot shut up about nepotism, how about you stop watching every movie with a "nepotistic" actor in it. Stick to Sushant and Vidya's movies and see how that works for you. 😉

You yourself said the solution here. Reject the product if it's too bad for our taste. The best way to bring it down is to stop giving them profits. And well audience has already started doing that, isn't it ? BW will stop endorsing talentless nepotist products once they are on flops.

And about BW being run by few big families, well that's the reality now isn't it ? Dharma, Red Chillies and YRF - all of them are staunch supporter of Nepotism and the biggest ones out there. But like I said, those are not PSUs and I think they are basking in glory because few of the stars launched by them is giving profits to them. The day that stops, these corporate bodies will come down and retrospect. But that ain't gonna happen as long as they have hit movies.

BW being the face of Indian Movie Industry - it's tremendously sad reality and that needs to be changed itself. Till today I dont get the hype around Katrina Kaif, Hema Malini, Jackie Shroff like actors who are outsiders and yet horrible actors. BW, 70% of the time makes no sense to me, so making it the face of India itself should be changed when there are better industries with more talent in it.

Which industry should I boycott ? I know Tamil. Telugu and Malayalam and they too have nepotism. Telugu especially. In Tamil, Thalaiva's daughters both are horrible directors but they get chances because they are his daughters and get off with mediocre work because there are few female directors.

Bahubali has nepotism.. Story was by SSR's dad, screenplay was by him and his father, direction was by him and music was by the cousin Keeravani Sir. Rana is from a mega dynasty and Prabas too is the nephew of someone AFAIK. So knowing all this should I boycott it ? i would feel so much better if things like casting couches and suicides do not exist because of people not getting opportunities. But hopefully it changes.

Of course they do, Parents get you admission, internships, job interviews through their connections
No one wants to acknowledge their own privilege, but will call out everyone else and expect them to do so 😆

Where ? Not in my experience. My parents left everything and everyone they knew to emigrate to the US when we were kids to give us better opportunities. My whole life they have emphasized education, taken horrible jobs to pay for things, paid expensive housing taxes to live in good school districts, driven us to extra curriculars, prep exams and paid for our education so my siblings and I graduate with no debt. But they never got us admissions, jobs or interviews. Everything was done on our own merit. So I just don't understand the parents handing things nepotism part though my parents have sacrificed, put their dreams aside at times and helped me my whole life.

This discussion would have ended when they just accepted instead of being ignorant.
They only mention that they also have to work hard and only with talent you can survive but well you need to get the opportunity to show that which they get plenty of it.
I cant understand why they have to mention other professions.
A doctors child or lawyer still have to study just like everybody who wants to become one.

that's why it is useless talking to them on this subject when they are a part of it..

the more media asks them questions on nepotism the more they are going to be in denial and come up with excuses or give defensive answers... its no use..

these questions should be asked to Outsiders bc its their experience.. Not the star kids experience.. though i doubt most outsiders can say much, since they are outsiders as it is...
