@preethik-The problem is that Sona is supposed to be an intelligent and perceptive person. It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out that Dev has lost his head post that night. The next second he started acting weird with her and she noticed the change too. She also knows Dev has issues and is extremely emotional about things. She has seen innumerable instances if this in his behavior in the past. So let's see-

1. She knows she was almost molested that night

2. She knows Dev could have lost her if he was late even by 10 minutes

3. She knows how Dev goes crazy when it comes to her and loses his ability to think straight

4. Dev confessed to her when he was spiked by mami how much he fears losing her and how he prefers death over it

5. She knows how he ruined himself the first time they broke up. All this ain't normal and it only shows how much he is invested in her and he has abandonment issues

6. He started behaving this weird right after that incident and she noticed the change

7. He keeps harping about that night and her safety. She saw how much he freaked out after that fire incident

8. Ishwari explained how much he fears losing her and this is his knee jerk reaction to that incident.

9. Even on the mangal sutra night he kept stressing about keeping her away from trouble

10. Sona knows how much his childhood affected Dev and how his mom used to carry a knife to protect herself and how much that affected Dev.

She needs more clues to figure him out? All this spells issues. Extreme protectiveness. It's weird that Sonakshi brings up trust and possessiveness cos there is a difference between the two. Yes Dev is also crazy possessive but the issue right now is entirely different. Like I said in the morning I think they are being extremely unfair to her character in a way. Lets not make her this clueless and robotic. Sona was an amazing person. It's really sad how the writers are writing her in such a one dimensional way.

@astrix I think alarm bells started going off only in the restaurant.

I think the problem is she never gave much value as in emotion to the goonda episode so probably she's slow in connecting the dots. Unfortunately Devs behavior though not necessarily possessive is scary. Following her, installing a tracker without her knowledge is scary even from a beloved husband.

Like you said the Sona of season1 was very clued into Devs emotions but now she looks totally clueless. The way her charachter is being written nowadays is disappointing.

Sonakshi knows the reason but i think she is getting scared by the intensity of it.Right now it is over-protectiveness but if it increases more it will become possessiveness.She can feel that Dev's behavior isn't normal.He is getting way too worried and that is not good too . She is trying to confirm if somebody else also think same as her.

Having a tracker maybe a common thing but putting it on her cell without informing her is wrong! If he had informed her with an explanation she would have been ok.

Sona knows he has some issue esp at the restaurant today but she does know with what & why. He is not communicating with her. How is she to guess that night affected so badly?

Yes they were angry but they were not calling it possessiveness or stalking they understood him too that he is cares for Sonakshi and is concerned for her

He didnt inform her yes he should have thats where the flaw lies with both of them but then he didnt want to make her uncomfortable..he wanted to be silently around her not to actually trouble her...As husband he was shielding her but Sonakshi termed it as stalking..She even said he doesn't trust her ..Shaould that be a question ??..She thinks he has trust issues..Her replies were so odd

He said its for her safety "Agar tum kisi problem mein hui toh" .. he is concerned.. even then she couldn't figure it why he is doing all this..then what can make her understand it..even the barish example she gave ..in yesterday's episode..she could sense the reason of his actions..now what more she needs to realize why he is doing this..mentally one can instantly make the connection

A little example..few days back when their was black call and Nikki was calling to hear Ishwri's voice she so quickly made all the connections how Nikki was calling she must have tasted food and all..and today her husband she knows from past 7 years the one who she has seen how emotional and extra sensitive he is regarding his family and super concerned when it comes to her..how he has seen his mothr suffer in past is not able to connect with him at all is worries at all..strange

Forget Dev..for a while and let me bring Bijoy again and just think What if Bijoy had been doing this post that night..if he had installed tracker or had been outside her office constantly keeping an eye on her..so we would have addressed him as stalker ?? No it would have been called as fathr's concern his love his protectiveness..but since Dev is doing this its been called so wrong and what not

Hi mahua I don't want to get into a bijoy vs dev or anybody else argument. It's pointless.

All I'm saying in this case the way dev did it is wrong & let's agree to disagree!

As for sona I agree her charachter seems to have esp regarding everyone except her husband. That is poor writing!

its good that she is sharing her feelings with Ishwari and Elana. cause' Dev is not listening or discussing.. just doing what he feels he needs to protect her. without regard to what she needs and who she is. and sonakshi is correct.. it is unhealthy and not good for her or even him! looks like they'll talk after this and talk and discuss and come to a mutual ground.

Sonakshi knows the reason that is why she told ishwari about the incident otherwise why will she.And she asked Dev, the reason because she wanted to hear it from his own mouth She wants him to share his feelings with her.

And that following everywhere behavior toh is actually unhealthy.

I loved the episode. I am in love with this Dev irrespective of his doings. I know Sonakshi loves him too but she used to be very expressive about it in the past. I wish that same Sonakshi is back soon. I am missing her. Feels like she is hiding her feelings.

This is our assumption 😆 Like I said, no one knows whats going on in her head. And she is someone who understood Dev better than Ishwari yet she needs everyone from Ishwari to Elena to explain whats going on with Dev. Sonakshi genuinely looks confused and unaffected and that to is the biggest failure of the writers in sketching an amazing character like her. Cos Sona may be a lot of things but she was always exceptionally perceptive and clued in about Dev's feelings.There was this scene pre-leap after their first break up when Sona came to Dev's house to check on him cos she knew he will be lost and disturbed. She knew he is all alone and no one really understood his state. She says that to Ishwari and mami too. That is the real Sona. She may be egoistic at times and too idealistic but she was sensitive, extremely perceptive and compassionate. If you want to show she has changed after all the struggles, atleast do that properly and spell it out to the viewers. This is neither here nor there.
