Despite all the drawbacks I am still in this for at least another few weeks. I want to tell myself I really gave this a chance before making a final call. Something is surely missing.
Let me state for the record: I LIKE Shivani. I think she is doing good. Especially a few days into the show she is performing better. I feel empathy for her. More than I feel for Advay. Barun is good. But in IPK 1 despite not being as exprienced an actor as he is now, he was great! Maybe it's the direction? Who is this AMAN? I thought LM was going to direct IPK3? Why can't they get Arshad Khan again? He directed the Diwali sequence, the missed Kiss, the ASR finds out Khushi is engaged scenes. Those were just Wow! I can't remember how many times I watched those scenes those days. It was like an Addiction. Even the initial episodes with LM. Just superb. He directed the consummation. We all remember how good it was.

Here this revenge Saga doesn't have balance as far as Advay is concerned. He is alone with one man and that's it. We don't get to see anything but his obsession with revenge. We don't get to see layers. In Chandani we see a whole story as her whole family is with her. Maybe that's why it's easier to relate to her. My favourite character was ASR in Season 1. I wanted the same for season 3 too. The ONLY reason I watched this show is for Barun. I want to see that performance again. He is good. But I want him to be great. Some scenes are good. Like when he saw the lantern and said "I was your friend Chandani. But you were just a beautiful lie, then and now!" That was a good scene.

The ONLY scene that made me cry in 2 weeks was the scene of Veer's Mother thanking her God for sending Veer into their lives. That actually made me emotional. Maybe because the little boy who fell onto that Green sheet looked a bit like my baby son.But I cried because of the sincerity of her feelings and the depth of her love for this child, for whom she still performs his own religions rituals for. That was such a touching moment. The bonding of that family is the sweetest thing in the show. A much needed respite from Advay's darkness and the tedious Vashisht family. (I like the girls).

I still want to give this show a chance. I can see potential. But as a busy person I have to chose what I watch carefully. So let's hope this story tempts me to keep watching.

@ghissapitta Yes I am ready to even overlook the costumes except of course when it comes to Barun. Dont u dare mess with him 😡 I just want a semblance of sanity to the scenes which are currently rushed & disjointed.

And wen we said we wanted inner monologue we dint mean Advay turning towards the camera & speaking to the audience 🥱

I am glad to c so many old timers in the forum 🤗. Many people are misconstruing that since we are Season 1 fans we are mocking S3. That's not true. I ve already mentioned in my v 1st main post on this thread the reason for watching this. And many of us are still willing to give this a chance if only the makers take all this feedback & bring the show back on track!

Yeah I loved the scenes of Veer's family. The pampering of the mother & the frustration of the father who wants to throttle his son but still loves him to bits. This is what i want to see for the leads as well. More scenes where we get a glimpse into their life. Is that too much to ask for?

I don't know anything about acting skills, direction, screen play and all that Jazz.
For me first impression is the best impression or should I say first episode is the best which attracts me to the serial. To give the best impression, what ever you said must have fallen into place.
Advay jumps into a pool, saves a puppy and when it tries to follow him, he shoos the puppy off by saying that there is no room for innocence and love in his life. Why did he jump into the pool in the first place anyway? It wasn't a lonely place where no one is there to save the puppy. We found so many other people standing and sitting around the pool.
Chandni was kidnapped and afraid of leaving the house after the incident. Why didn't she draw strength from Dev in the last one year?
Advay wanting to take revenge from an 8 year old girl was already done and dusted topic.
I am still waiting for an episode to impress me and all I got on Friday was, Indrani killed a person in cold blood right in front of our eyes and argues with Siva that she has done every thing for the love of her children!
Chandni knows that if those doors are open, it will give them wealth and nothing else. Does Chandni truly believe that they have a right to the treasure and there is nothing wrong in telling her mom that they will surely get it?
Cheers...

Grand sets, amazing cast, prime time of a leading channel...
The man that is a brand...this drama has all the things that a show requires.

This concept is new in Indian television I guess. I don't follow any other Indian drama so don't know much about them. Pardon me if I'm wrong.

The way of presenting a story is the most important aspect according to me. Even the most unbelievable plot presented in a believable manner is the skill that a creative unit should have.

Not talking about costumes...😆 sigh!

The above aspect completed = bang on drama...

guys I am new in IF but let me tell u that u guys are jumping the gun its daily drama eventually all the issues you are speaking of will slowly unravel because they want keep suspense regarding the ''hows'' and the ''whys'' so the character building is also done according to a thriller-suspense format which will slowly unravel we just need to be patient and give the show time.
As far as costumes n accessories goes makers have made an experiment keeping in mind the regular hindi TV audience which is definitely susceptible to debate.

As far as logic goes cloud seeding is definitely cant be so done so smoothly as shown here but I read somewhere that if cobra bites on the forehead one soon secretes dollop of bloods.

Another thing I want to tell u guys don't make it sound like IPKKND1 had some great logical writing in fact I find IPKKND1 more gravely illogical that ipk3 so far I mean think abt it a girl is hired to inculcate ''values'' or teach daily chores like cooking , making diyas or how to drape sarees to the soon to be bahu????? ohhh come on really?? what non sense is that what was nani ji or anjali was doing in the house???

Or take this a lawyer practicing in the same city goes missing in the name of work and nobody ether buaji's family nor the raizadas raise any suspicion??? as if law is transferable job that requires lawyers to change cities so frequently??

Or take this khushi never found out about shyam being anjali's husband untill the meeting on terrace anjali could hv just shown her his pic coz she was eager khushi to see her husband

but inspite of this idiotic n ilogical premise we fell in love with show coz we loved the characters of arnav and khushi and their scenes together.

So I am just saying its too early to judge ipk3 the way you are judging

I think Barun needs a bit more passion about acting... he seems to just go with the flow. He lacks the will and energy to prove something to himself and to the world...

being a good actor is to observe and learn life ...and this is why BW and TV actors never become great ... they limit themselves by falling into trap of stardom... Barun has the capacity to be a decent good actor ...but he is not evolving. Maybe he should try hands in regional movies 😉
[QUOTTE]

Can't agree more... After being popular you don't see the same fire in their acting . That's why low budget films are doing good and getting praised.. And actors like nawaz and rajkumar r ruling the acting criteria more than the star actors...
