"Maa. I'm going." Shaurya said getting down the staris playing with his car keys. "Okay beta." Karuna said from the kitchen. "Wait Bhai. Please help me with shopping for college fest na. Then we'll go to the college." Nehal said from behind. "No way Nehal. You know I have to go for the rehearsals. Mahek abhi abhi impress hui hai, you want her to hate again kya? No way. You rake the driver with you. Sorry princess." Shaurya said going out of the main door. "Huh." Nehal rolled her eyes off.

Mahek was in the auditorium waiting for Shaurya to come. She saw Shruti coming. "Hey Mahek." Shruti said waving her hand. "Hey." Mahek said giving her a faint smile. "What are you waiting for? My boyfriend kya?" Shruti started. "Hmm." Mahek said nodding her head. "I tell you yaar ye Shaurya bhi na such a playboy he is but whatever it is ghum phir mere paas hi aata hai." Shurti said boasting about their relationship that is broken long back by Shaurya. "Oh." Mahek managed to say not knowing what and why she was saying all those things. "You know Mahek when we kissed. Oh God that was the best moment and we usually have such moments every now and then." Shurti lied winking at her. Mahek was feeling uncomfortable with her talks. She looked here and there. Shaurya entered there and saw Shruti talking to Mahek. "What are you guys talking?" He asked. "Nothing. Was just telling about us baby. I mean how much you love me." Shruti said throwing herself on Shaurya. "Excuse me guys." Mahek said feeling awkward. Shaurya threw Shruti's hand. "Shurti I told you we are over. Don't pretend our love please. Not in front of her at least. I don't want her to misunderstand me with you." Shaurya said walking behind Mahek.

"Mahek listen to me yaar." Shaurya said coming in front of Mahek to stop her. "Shaurya. There's nothing to listen to. Anyway it's your personal matter and I don't think you need to clarify anything to me at the first place. It will be good if we concentrate on the rehearsals as there isn't much time for the college fest you see. Today Chopra Sir will be having a look at our performances. So please be prepared." Saying so Mahek moved to the stage and grabbed her script and started learning dialogues. Shaurya looked at her and moved to the stage to do his part.

"See Mahek and Shaurya. The scene is something like Juliet has lost her father to a lethal disease and is in distress. She is crying and Romeo notices her and goes up to her to know the reason. It is then Juliet tells him of her loss and breaks down further. Romeo offers her to follow her to her hometown for the last rites of her father and that's when Juliet realises Romeo is good at heart and both develop some soft feelings for each other." The director explained the scene. Both nodded their head and attained their position.

Juliet was sitting on a bench with tearful eyes. Romeo who was passing by saw her. He went near her to check upon her. "Juliet. You okay?" He asked in concern. "Hmm." She answered without lifting her eyes. "Look at me and tell what happened?" Romeo asked looking at her. "Vo..ac-actually. I-I." Juliet stammered thinking of what she was told on phone few minutes back. Romeo grew restless seeing her in that state. "Vo. I have lost my father." Saying so she burst into tears. She hugged Romeo and cried her heart out. Chopra Sir came in between the scene and was highly impressed. "It okay Juliet. Everything will be fine." He said caressing her hair. "I have to go to my hometown for his funeral." She said clutching his light green shirt firmly. "I'll take you." He said. They were returning from the funeral. "Thank you Romeo for being there for me during the worst of my times. You aren't that bad. We can be friends." She said smiling faintly. "Surely." Romeo said giving her a side hug.

"Brilliant. Mahek you were awesome." Director said. And everyone else appreciated her for her acting skills. Sanjay looked with proud for his lil gal. Shaurya also appreciated her and she excused herself and went out. No one inside knew what all she went through during those scenes. Those tears were real. She was feeling weak. Shaurya came out and saw her in tears. "What happened Mahek? You okay?" Shaurya asked keeping his hand on her shoulder. "Nothing. Just some old hurtful memories." Mahek said composing herself.

It was silent night. Mahek has been thinking of her life. "Mahek you know tomorrow is Romeo's birthday." Sonal said getting into the room. Mahek didn't hear her. She was still thinking about the day's event and her reaction. She has still not gotten over it. "Mahek. Are you listening to what I'm saying?" Sonal said shaking her a little. "Hmm. Haan. Kya keh rhi hai tu?" Mahek said coming out of her reverie. "I'm saying kal shaurya ka birthday hai." Sonal repeated what she said earlier. "Kaun Shaurya?" Mahek said who was still not out of her thoughts completely. "Shaurya. Shaurya Khanna. Tera lover yaar." Sonal said reminding her. "Mera kaun lover?" Mahek said in shock. "Arre I mean Romeo. Juliet ka lover." Sonal clarified. "Oh okay. Wish him meri taraf se." Mahek said getting on the bed. "Matlab? Tu kal college nhi chalegi kya?" Sonal inquired. No I'm not well." Mahek said putting the duvet. "You're impossible." Saying so Sonal also got onto the bed and slept.

Morning brings in new beginning for everyone. It gives everyone one more chance to make their life. Mahek got on the dining table in her pyjamas. "Mahek you wouldn't go to the college kya today? You are not ready yet?" Mansi asked serving her some Poha. "Nhi chachi. I'm not feeling well today that's why I'm thinking to take off today." Mahek said putting a spoon full of Poha in her mouth. "You're not well. Why? What happened? Fever?" Mansi said worried. "Chachi no worries. It's just that I'm lil tired and feeling feverish." Mahek said. "Oh. Then take rest." Mansi said. Mahek just smiled and continued eating.

"Happy birthday Bhai." Nehal said standing in front of Shaurya who was in his dreamland. "Thank you Princess." Shaurya said turning his face to the other side. "Happy birthday Beta." Karuna said holding a bowl of kheer in her hand. "Thank you Maa." Shaurya said getting up. He went to brush his teeth so as to taste his favourite Kheer. He came out of the washroom and opened his mouth to be fed with Kheer. Karuna puts a spoonful of it in his mouth. "Yum. Love you Maa." He said kissing Karuna on her cheeks. "Bhai this is for you." Nehal said forwarding him an envelope. He opened it. It contained a handmade card that read, "To the world's best Bhai. Bhai you know I love you so much. You're the only I look forward to when I'm in distress. You're my best friend and everything else beside Mom. Always be with me. I'm nothing without you. -your lil Princess." Shaurya hugged Nehal and thanked her. "Okay Mom. I gotta go to college. See ya later." Shaurya said.

Shaurya dressed up in crisp white shirt with black torn jeans and a black lose tie. It was a special birthday for him for he has found the love of his life. He reached the college and saw Shruti coming to him. She hugged him and kissed on his cheeks leaving a red lipstick mark and wished him a happy birthday. Shaurya formally thanked her and removed the lipstick mark with a handkerchief and moved inside the college leaving behind an angry Shruti.

Sonal saw him coming in the classroom. "Happy birthday." She said forwarding her hand and with a smile. "Thank you." He said reciprocating the smile and the handshake. He looked around but couldn't see her. "She too wished you a happy birthday." Sonal said sensing whom he was looking for. "She wasn't well so she couldn't make to the college today." Sonal told. "Oh. Okay. Thank her for the wishes." He said in a low voice. He was cursing his bad luck.
