To those who are saying that there is nothing wrong in her not knowing Hindi...I AGREE WITH YOU ALL...there is no compulsion for anyone to know any particular language since India doesn't have a National language...this question is only being raised because Jhanvi is rumored to be making her debut in BW which happens to be a HINDI movie industry...other than that who cares if someone knows Hindi or not...and I wouldn't have raised this question had I not see Katrina being mocked for her lack of Hindi language over and over and over again...To those who can't speak Hindi...no problem but if u are planning to debut in a Hindi movie...please do learn Hindi...😆😆

This page should be bookmarked and if any of these members bash or mock Katrina for her accent will show them their post on this topic about its okay if they do not know hindi that well.

It is not logical or democratic to declare one language, especially Hindi compulsory cause not even 30% of the population is from Hindi speaking state. We are diverse people, the beauty of India is in accepting the diversity rather than forcing the language or religion.

Unfortunately diversity concepts fails if balance is not maintained. Its not about forcing a relegion or culture. Language is form of communication which can unite one individual with another individual. Adoping 1 nation, 1 language would not have hurt any relegion imho.

This is the problem with some of us Indian kids 😔 we're neither good at Hindi/mother tongue nor English. It's embarrassing.

That is why we have official languages so that the work is not hindered...I don't care if there is no National language in India,...Language is a means to communicate and it should not be given any more importance than that...I don't know why so much ego or pride is associated with any language...My mother tongue is Hindi...but if Tamil or Telugu or Gujrati or bengali was the most spoken language and could have been the pimary language...I would have learned them...not because they would have been superior but because it would have been a necessity...but since we have English as the binding language...it works fine for all of us...seriously i will never get people's obsessions or should I say pride for a particular language...I love you would sound as sweet in any language...right?😛

More than concern abt her Hindi speaking skills, I think she doesnt have the looks, personality or anything special to deserve a launch.
Hate all this nepotism and star kids getting launched whether they have it in them or not

She will probably learn Hindi in time but she doesnt have what it takes to be a star.

I think people are are mixing issues. Jhanvi has ambitions to act in Hindi movies and she has spent great deal of energy in getting her looks right. Language is very important as she'll say her dialogues in Hindi, so it doesn't matter what kids of her generation get from school and home. She should have spent time to learn Hindi. It is more important than getting the nose job.

I think she can, but it seems there has been no major movie announcements in quite a while. What do you think?
