Roli looked at me seeking answer for the statement i gave to Swetha...
'I am sorry... dont mistake me... Let me explain...' i said...
'Explain me Sir.. why you gave such wrong impression to her...' Roli asked...
'First let me tell about her.. she is our distant relative and having crush on me... my grand mother likes her and wants us to get married..' i introduced about her...
'Well.. when your family also wishing... why cant you go ahead..' she asked..
'No I cant.. as i got no interest towards her... Not even as friend... Love & marriage is very far...' i said...
'But what was the need of that acceptance statement...' she asked...
'I didn't plan to tell so.. she was pushing hard which you saw... in that moment.. to escape from her... i got no other way...' i said..
I can see a sad expression flashing on her eyes which she masked...
'Now she will be telling your family & they will be under wrong impression...' she said...
She is right... i didn't thought of much consequences before telling that...
As we were talking.. i got call from my grand mother...
"Siddhant... what is happening???' mataji asked..
'What happened mataji???' i asked...
'Swetha is telling you are in relationship with someone in office...' she asked...
'Yes Mataji.. i only told her...' i said...
'Is it true or you wanted to avoid Swetha by telling that...' she asked...
I am caught... they understood my intention...
'Its true only Mataji...' i told managing the situation...
'Well... Then bring her home today for dinner...' she said...
'What??? but why???' i asked...
'Come on Siddhant.. are we not in need of seeing our daughter in law... i need to start tomorrow itself... so better if i can meet her today itself...' Mataji said...
'But Mataji...' when i was talking...
'Siddhant.. we are waiting to see her...' she said and disconnected the line...
I looked at Roli who was gazing at me while i realised i got struck in strange situation...
'Sir.. what is happening???' she asked...
'Swetha told my grand mother and she wants to meet you today at home... So told me to bring you for dinner...' i said...
'OMG... See where we end up by your lie...' she said...
'I am so sorry... but i really need your help...' i said...
'Help... like...' she asked...
'Actually i know she might have come with Swetha for finalising our marriage only which i dont want... so...' i paused...
'So!!!' she exclaimed...
'Can you please help me coming with me today for dinner...' i asked...
"What??? Sir... what are you talking??? how can we do that when there is nothing like that...' she asked...
'We know there is nothing... but others think now there is something... Lets use the doubt on our favour and let me get rid of Swetha... Once that issue is solved... i will explain my parents that there is nothing between us or to the worst case we can tell that we break up...' i said...
But when i was talking about break up.. i felt a bad feeling inside me...
'Sir.. this is not some drama to play around...' she said...
'Its just my request Ms. Roli.. Please help me... otherwise i need to end up marrying Swetha which i really dont want...' i said...
'Why cant you explain them that you are not interest on her instead...' she said...
'I did so many times already... They tell me when i am not in love with anyone else.. why cant i marry Swetha...they believe i will learn to love her later... Which i think impossible... i cant stand her even for few minutes...' i said with irritation...
'It wont be right to tell such big lie sir...' she repeated...
'Please trust me... I wont take any advantage over you towards this lie and i only seek your help...' i requested...
'Sir.. there is nothing about trust... i trust you.. but i feel bad that we are giving wrong impression to elders... we are fooling them...' she said...
'But i am helpless Ms. Roli... Please.. do this for me... ' i said...
She was silent for long...
Then she nod her head as acceptance...
