I don't suppose I'm the only weirdo who liked everything about both the parts -- although I do think part 2 was better than part 1, but that could also be because it brought to light Amarendra and Devasena's lovestory (and I'm a biased D-S fan 😆).
I still liked part 1 for the manner in which it established the characters for part 2 to take forward, although I'll forever be grouchy about the fact that they could've just released all their footage into 2 parts for the conclusion because I honestly felt like a lot of it was rushed -- and they could afford to do this because there wasn't even a second where I was bored. To be honest, I could barley eat the stuff my mom and sister got for us to eat. I didn't touch my drink either (as explained to Meenu perviously, I actually sent it flying to the floor when I saw Rana flexing his hot bod, LOL)
As far as the war sequence is concerned, the action was very well-executed. I have yet to see any other Indian film that could match its war sequence. It was also super important for the war sequence in part 1 to elucidate the different actions Amarendra and Bhalla take in order to win the fight against the Kalekyas; this is what establishes their character for us an an audience and tells us who the better person is and whether he is worthy of leading Maashimati's future.
