You drew a beautiful comparison in this chapter which I found so apt... Tej is like Kronos, bent on destroying his own... Shivaay is Zeus, always like lightning, striking down anything that wants to hurt his people... Rudra is Poseidon, calm but capable of being stormy and Omkara is Hades... Gauri his willing Persephone.

I love how by the end of the update, they were both supporting each other, like members in some twisted Emotional Abuse Survivors Anonymous, even if circumstances had forced them into that situation.

Its nice that in time gauri came to know from where om is coming from. It would to read gauri POV to know om completely.

I am loving rikara, though there is no love between but there is am emotional connection and understanding which matters the most.

So, the thing is--I don't read full fledged fanfictions, especially incomplete full-fledged fanfictions that are angsty to an extent (I like light-hearted comedies when it comes to my soap-opera ff's because we see enough angst in the opera itself) because I have short attention span and don't have the patience to wait for updates or read through the whole thing.

But your work is brilliant and to top it all off--something or the other is always happening and nothing is a filler--I like how qquick it is. In 6 chapters--the lead couple has gone from unattached animosity to some sort of emotional dependence on each other and I love you for that.

I cannot wait for more, no mind to that angst it might have because I love the characterization and there is kindling between Om and Gauri that the show is lacking at the moment.

Sigh...this story is so intense, right now am simply basking in the afterglow of it...so since I read the last two chapters together, will try and compress my thoughts on both.

The fact that Gauri is trying to play the devil's game was brilliant! The way she studies Om's moves, his approaching her, their argument in the office with the blinds down, etc was so poignant because it made me feel like she is in unknown untested waters at the moment and is taking notes even as she is living through that moment for this war she has launched on the man she sees as her antagonist. There seems to be just that bit of detachment in her as if she is acting out a role, trying to pretend to be a persona she naturally isn't and so there is that note of the dramatic as she quotes a shayari even when there is so much at stake. Maybe I am reading too much into it.

As for the next chapter, sighhh! Why did it stop where it did!?! Here suddenly the masks come down! She sees the Oberois as they are...dysfunctional, broken, twisted...nothing like what she had thought them to be. And she loses the act. The role she had put on to drive Om away comes crashing down when faced by this scene of domestic disharmony, and she finds herself become his shield.

That she notices his pain, his innocence and draws forth the alliance, is amazing. And so fitting in its place. Love where you are taking this story.
