I don't agree. If she wore something crazy and it backfired like that weird black and green skirt, that would be a bad impression. It's okay that nobody really knows her yet and maybe she'll form some connections. She isn't looking the worst dressed or the most boring in the event so it's okay.

Not all publicity is good.

Probably, it's tough to get dresses for MET and especially when you are not that known but still, she should have hustled better. Sonam would have done this theme right.

What was the purpose of going to MET and being underwhelming. Should have skipped and focused on Cannes instead. 😆

Hate PC's face/ makeup but love the dress!!

Deepika looks boring af and washed out. She better think about Cannes properly or she's going to be completely ignored and forgotten. With these looks, Sonam and Aish will have no problem outshining her.

iF I were Dp, i would have left my hair out in the open with the head head over my head ,would have volumized my hair ,small diamond stud, (the other earrings work fine too), and gone with a neutral make up. the dress is lovely. the hair style is bad, and looks bland. It looks the same.

Loreal might fire her if her first Cannes is disastrous like Katrina's was. That would be the biggest embarrassment. 😆

come on she is deepika freaking padukone... I doubt all this is coz of lack of gowns..she has Anaita shroff / vogue India on her speed dial... or all the indian designers available to her if she needs them... Even a simple Gauri n nainika gown would have made more impact than the gown she wore tonight

It makes me think she is overrated n has a big team of ppl behind her in India to give her image that she has... whereas PC shines everywhere whether it's India or US n it doesnt matter what she's wearing or who the stylist is..PC will make her presence felt

It's not such a bad idea actually. If no one is going to stick to the theme, why go the boring route!! Do something stunning na. Like a 16 yard saree with a 9 yard drape and a 7 yard trail/pallu, with open hair and fresh, dewy makeup and minimal jewellry. She would have really stood out. People would have clicked pics of her at least.
