Surprisingly, I can't find any fault in his actions. He's being unexpectedly calm and mature through all this. Which is also so strange. Itna buildup about NKK for 200 odd episodes and now this! Not that I'm not happy with his stance, but a little more explanation would have been nice.😃

So then it's kinda extra sad that Anika has to be butchered in the process while Shivaay's character evolves...Harneet's obsession with focusing only on Shivaay's characterization unfortunately leaves only Anika to use for senseless drama without rhyme or reason.

I completely agree! I never saw the point of Mahi's character anyway. I mean NM does a pretty good job of portraying the flip between the two characters but seriously what's the point?! Use that time to show us what Annika is thinking about her present situation (apart from the random dreamy eyes and 2-minute half baked conversations with Sahil) or just show Rumya if nothing else. Annika really needs some character development right now. I really hope this past revelation is only about Annika and doesn't twist back to Mahi story.

LOLL Anika's work is an even bigger afterthought for the writers than Anika's past...I would be very surprised if this track ended up revealing anything about her past...they'll find a way to twist back to Mahi's sob-story somehow again and keep the focus on the Shivaay-Mahi issue...lol

Yes, a working Anika track would have been a believable track in terms of their ideological ego clashes...instead we are being given an Anika who just desperately wants to hear "Tum meri biwi ho" from Shivaay day and night...😆...no other thought exists in her head anymore.

For eg if he finds out she was the daughter of a paanwala will he be able to leave her after all that they've experienced together?

And if she's the daughter of a renowned businessman will he be able to live freely with her till the ends of time, despite knowing that he went behind her back even after all the things that she told him today and even the thought of that is disturbing to me. Where is he leading with all this?

Aisa lagg raha hai they're doing this just so they can lead to the track about unraveling Annika's past, and the so called 'truth'.

But where has he given the impression that ANYTHING will change if he learns her past? 😕😆...Can a person not just be curious? He literally knows nothing about her and all he sees is her constantly crying about not knowing anything about her family or her past...so what is the harm in finding out? He has never indicated at all that learning her past, whether good or bad in anyway will lead him to decide whether or not he wants to stay with her.

I don't see any harm in him being allowed atleast this much for his basic NKK ideology...he just wants to know...he hasn't indicated that he will be judging Anika on the basis of that...his actions have already shown that he has claimed Anika for who she is as a person...atleast SOMEONE is making an effort cuz Anika strangely has all the time in the world to dig into connections related to Shivaay but no time to find out her own past😕😆...If she can go nosing around into his business, why can't he be allowed the same?

As for where all this is heading? LOL well frankly nothing much has made sense to me since the gunshot epi...everything seems to be randomly made up as per whim and there is no indication of whether the writers have a larger plan or are just making it up as they go along😆

@silverlining sorry don't know your name my dear but I guess the intrest is caz he needs to know something to tell his children bache bhi toh poocheinge na maa kiska khoon hai *rollseyes* which again is bizzare for me caz really kisi bhi bache ko is baat se kya farak padta hai ke uske maa baap ke NKK kya hai as far as they have the love of their parents. I haven't heard or encountered a single child who went upto their parents and asked bhai aap kiska khoon ho or aapke khoon ki speciality kya hai?

Ahahahah! That dialogue by Pinky was just unbelievably idiotic!! 😆😆 Matlab kuch bhi! Kaunsa baccha goes and asks his/her dad ki kya aap maa ko aashram se uthaake laaye the?? 😆😆 Such BS!

That dialogue is usually said by the older sibling to the younger one. 😆 "Yes, you were adopted" *personal experience*😆

The last scene was clearly a TRP milking ruse. Bechari heroine ki sad story types:P
That scene made no impact on me whatsoever...i actually like those scenes better when Anika seems vulnerable and yet talks of her struggles with a brave face. Seems like they are hell bent on making a parallel between Anika and mahi...Lol. For example yesterday's Mahi scene had a similar bemoaning the fate scene.

I'm actually surprised Shivaay is handling everything so sensitively. He has actually surpassed my expectations...Lol. It's the diplomat in him who handles his wife and mom and makes a balance between the two (let's just forget that his skills have become rusty of late to make Pinky the evil saas...lol)

Yes Shivaay is definitely evolving and it's in a way endearing to see what a long way he has come...but Anika seems to be devolving and Harneet has no interest in delineating her as per the original character sketch...street smart, cheeky and feisty, though vulnerable at the core.

It's Archie😃

Yeah exactly! I don't understand what the fuss is all about. I mean people do marry orphans don't they? Unme se sabko thodi na apne past ke baare mein pata hota hai...And inspite of that many go on to live normal married lives. Also I could've understood if Annika ke past mein kuch bura hota and if people would've said oh she is the daughter of so and so, usne toh itna bura kaam kiya tha etc etc... Then Shivaay's concern for kids might have made sense coz if people speak shit about their mom he needs to know enough to shut them up. But jab past hi nahi hai, I don't see what's the problem.

Fary... I dont completely agree with u... Agreed annika has an over reaction... She always knew NKK matters at lot to him so when she expected he wud end their relationship when he comes to know she is an orphan why such an over reaction when he just told her she will always be his wife n that won't change... But Her getting angry on him is valid... If He dint hv anything to hide and was genuinely wanting to dig her past to shut ppl up.. He wud hv spoken to her after calming her and saying u know me I hv always believed in NKK... U r my wife n that won't change ever... U mean a lot more to me but I still want to find out bout ur past... Instead He chose to confide in his brothers that they know how he thinks about this n his views r different from them and they don't agree with his thot... Annika is at no fault but he needs to know his wife's bg... N All this when he just told her she will remain his wife... If she will then y does he need to know her past? Will her past change his views about her? Her walking out wasn't justified but her anger was... After telling someone u will b my wife n I will make things fine... U yo about telling ur brother u need to know her bg... Her asking if what they share between them wasn't big enuf for him to accept her as just Annika too is right... She nvr expected him to accept her... So if he did either he shud hv done it whole heartedly or shud hv told her that he needed time to totally accept it though she is more imp to him... See He actually thinks of her as wife but not the mom of his kids yet... He Exactly thinks what pinky asked him... Else He wud hv told pinky how does Annika's bg mean anything to his kids... It's upto elders not to speak about it n even if they do he is proud of what she is... But he dint say that... He kept quiet...

And i do understand Shivaay's urge to dig into Anika's past.
Actually adopted children themselves are quite curious to know their biological parents because it contributes to their sense of identity, a sense of belonging and also myriad things like medical history..etc,

I'm actually surprised as to why Anika herself hasn't tried to do that. She has a younger sister too so why isn't she delving deeper into this?

Exactly...I frankly don't get why Anika is so pissed off with Shivaay wanting to dig into her past when she is otherwise constantly talking about feeling adrift without knowing her real identity...she should ask herself before she asks Shivaay that why does it matter to HER so much that she doesn't know anything about her past or who she is? If it didn't matter, why would she cry about it, have a quivering voice when talking about it?

So by her logic, she is allowed to go be Shivaay's wall, protect him, do all the investigation in the world for his sake but he isn't allowed to learn even a little bit about her past to reassure both her and him? Why is he not allowed to help her find her identity? Right now I think she is just substituting an identity with how desperately she clings to the label of being his wife...but if she truly wants to know herself, make peace with her own identity, she needs to find out who she is.

Previously she used to carve her identity on the basis of her hard work and independence...and well, that's shot for good as of now😆...so why not find out about her past? Any orphan would generally want to...so Anika not even bothering to make the effort has always been strange...and for all her bluster, she definitely feels vulnerable without knowing her identity.

Exactly Amri - the issue is harneet is not invested in Anika or building Her up. All her love is going towards mahi who is not even needed in the story but that's just my opinion

Every adopted kid I have known wants to know their past just to know and not to leave their parents or family
Who have brought them up. Case in point - one of the best movies I have seen recently - lion and it's based on true story. Also sushmita said She will tell the girls their real parents identities when they are 18 and able to make sense of it - clearly she is not scared of losing them or anything, it is just the right thing to do

So Anika howling at end was over done for me. She could have shed silent tears or spoken in a heavy voice which would have made it sound like she was holding her tears back and the scene would have been so much More poignant
