Omkara sat on his stool painting away on the canvas a smile adorning his face at his thoughts. His thoughts were now only occupied by his wife. He was in love. Yes he was madly in love with her now. In the past 6 months his life had taken to the new road a far pleasant road than he could ever imagine.
The bond that started as friendship had now bloomed into love. When and How ? That even he dint know. All he knew was he loved her presence,he loved it when she woke him up to the morning aarti bells, though it annoyed him at the outside, he loved his she made sure he ate at proper times, he loved the way she smiled at him, he loved the way she argued with him, and the way she fought with him. He chuckled at his own thoughts as he realised he had been painting away just one colour on the canvas. He quickly got up and changed the sheet.

He had been wanting to make his feelings for her verbal but was a bit apprehensive about the same. He sighed as he looked at the blank sheet. He had tried speaking to her this morning, but couldn't , she was way busy with his family. She had got along so well with each member of the family as though she was a part of them since ever, saving those arguments she had with Shivaay.! He smirked, the two went crazy at smallest things cursing each other, but one thing was sure, Gauri loved and respected Shivaay just as her own elder brother and Shivaay always treated her like he treated Rudra and Om.
He looked at the colours, confused which one to start with, when she came in.
"Arey Aap, abhi tak yanhi baitge hai ..?" She asked placing the glass of milk on the side table. "Harharaai ke doodh pii lijiye aur so jaaiye, phir subha uth ke kahenge ghanti mat bajaao.!"
Omkara smiled, time for a little nok-jhok, but he loved doing that. He turned to her-"arey tum mandir mein ghanti baajao naa..itna bada mandir hai ghar pe...room mein...
"Jahan Bhagwaan Wahan hum ...Aapko Kya...galti aapki hai aap jaldi nahi sote hai.!"she said.
He rolled his eyes, "Acha yeh sab chodo, come her, see my new painting and he walked up to the other canvas by the window. She followed him, he unveiled the painting .
It was the painting of a woman with a duppatta adorning her head and her hand held the edge of it near her cheeks, as she looked down a smile played on her face and a pinkish tinge adorned her face.The woman in painting had Gauri's features though it wasn't and exact replica.
Gauri smiled and looked at it, while Omkara's eyes were caressing her face, as he folded his hands and stood resting against the window frame.
Gauri turned at him and then walked up to his paints and picked a brush and walked back to the painting and filled a little red on the lady's head.
She walked up to him and smiled "Bahut Sundar hai, ab poori hai!" Omkara smiled widely, this lady was love.! He took the brush and placed it on the window sill and held her tiny soft hands in his.
She gulped as she met his gaze. He just couldn't find words. Finally he spoke up-"Thank You!"
She looked at him with questioning eyes.
"You completed it and My Life!
Paagal thaa main,
Tumhara Pyaar Nahi Dehk Paya,
I m sorry!"
She frowned-"uu kya thaa... Haan...Bygones are Bygones.!"
He corrected her pronounciation.
And then took a step closer taking a deep breath, he should let her know. But for once he couldn't find the right words. Gauri looked into his eyes and knew what was coming. She herself had fallen for him , again and again with every minute with his every little action she seemed to fall for him all over again and again and still deeper. And she knew the feeling was mutual, the way he looked at her at times told her all the unsaid.
He gently tucked the hair lock behind her ear that had been blocking his view thanks to the breeze that blew right at her as she stood right before he window facing him.
He brought his face still closer to hers, his eyes locked with her doe-shaped ones.
"Om!" She whispered. Unable to complete his name .But he liked it that way.
"Ishq Ho Gaya...
Tumse...!"
Was all he could manage to whisper in her ears she closed her eyes as those words slowly sank in her head.
"Aur humko aapse.!" She said without thinking, just what came out directly from her heart, as it came. He smiled. He felt so light, he had never felt this way, he never thought just a few simple words could create such extreme feelings in him. He saw her, she looked back at him. Almost simultaneously, she flung her arms around him and placed her head on his chest and he threw her arms around her shoulders. Never had he felt so complete. Ever since she came, he had started laughing a little more, smiling a little more and loving a little more. He felt alive in true sense. She was his lifeline.
He broke the hug, and cupped her face, both had moistened eyes. He placed her forehead against hers as she held on to his wrists. She wiped away those tears, she hated tears in his eyes, and then wiped hers.
"Aap bahut rulaate hain!" She exclaimed grumpily.
He laughed. "I m sorry!"
She giggled -"punishment mein ab poori life hum sirf hasenge...!"
He smiled -"okay...done..!"
She smiled. He slowly caressed her face and placed a chaste kiss on her cheeks. She kissed back at his forehead getting on her tiptoes. Soon the tension grew as he looked down at her lips while his hands rested on her small waist. She moved a little closer to give him the answer he awaited. And they shared their first ever kiss.
She blushed hard as they broke apart. He grinned. She shyed away looking the other way . He kissed those pink cheeks. Promising to himself that from now on he would fill her life with all the colours of mirth and joy.! Her eyes grew wide at their closeness and their moves they had kissed the fact seeped in only now, she made an excuse and ran out, her heart thudding hard. As soon as she was out of the room she rested against the wall outside and smiled wide.
As he saw her disappear he grinned and turned to look at he star lit sky.
Never had he felt so much at content.
