You are right, Deepak. I always felt that as a human being, as a man, as a husband, as a son, as an uncle and as a father - Bijoy is an exceptional man.

Yes, he is cranky, rude, eccentric man, but he has the heart of gold.

Had Dev learned from him instead of blindly following mummy dearest, he's have been a better human being, better man, better husband, better son and better father too.

Ananya, what I meant to say is that seeds we sow are the fruits we reap. Our actions determines the consequences.

If you notice, in today's episode, pretty much everyone got their payback.

Bijoy and Dev got the most obvious payback.

But Bijoy telling Dev the reason for his hatred and the fact that he is not able to forgive him anymore, was Dev's payback that now he has to pretend with Bijoy that he tolerates him who once accepted him as a son. Plus now Dev will now how Sona felt during first break up.

Asha and Sona got their payback in the form of Bijoy's sickness and him being hospitalized.

As I said, Karma pays back everyone's dues.

I don't think that this is the same situation other than Dev realizing (if he is capable of that) what Sona felt when he broke up with her for no fault of her own.

However, this time, Dev and Sona are neither together nor in love, so his hurt will be much less than what Sona felt when Dev broke up with her.

I doubt Bijoy will go begging to Ishwari for Dev because he is not trying to score points in Sona's eyes and I doubt Sonakshi will ever willingly enter Ishwari's domain even for Dev. Also, Bijoy's children can handle their own relationships unlike Dev who needs Mummy to arrange things for him. So rest assured that won't happen for sure.

Guddi, you are right. These are parallel but not similar situations as in same same, but different.

However, the biggest difference is that there is no love left between Sona and Dev. Attractions, yes. But not love.

Actually I read today's update and specially pre-cap, and I am surprised to see that the parallels, although not in an exact replicated situation, but are being drawn in a subtle manner quite a few times now.
1. Sona-Soha sleeping peacefully vs. Dev's pacing fast impatiently losing his sleep reminded me of Dev-Ish enjoying partying on Dev's bday and Sona's lone moment in a restaurant.

2. The whole shifting to Bose house drama, the whole feeling of being an outsider to an already 'perfectly' functioning family (as Dixits thought they were perfect too).

3. Soha's casually spending more time with Jatin simply because that was how it used to be for last 6 yrs for her vs. Dev's spending ALL his time with his Momma and office leaving his wife alone to rot there. Except, this time Soha is a child and cannot be blamed for it !

4. Bijoy hospitalized. Sona's accusing Dev whereas the reality was Bijoy consumed alcohol with consent. Soha this time might feel reluctant to give Dev a clean chit too I feel. And that's how may be THIS situation would be acted as Karma. Dev should realize how it feels to accuse and break-up relation with somebody without any particular fault of his. Will Soha give it back to Dev this time ? 😳

Nice analysis Tia as always.

While Im back watching it, I still feel that we seem to be stuck in a time warp... no character has really changed or matured over time. Dev still equally insecure and blind re "mommy"; GKB equally manipulative... etc etc.

After 7 years - you would think there'd be some character development for Dev at least!!

And leaving that aside --- I would say there are a few things I don't understand:

1. Asha --> coming across too much as "I know it all" and "I am perfect". Ok she did not tell Bejoy re the theft. She and Dev decided not to. So why won't you tell Dev you wanna be the martyr fine - that means you will be provoked and I need you to not react. She knows her hubby well enough.

2. Saurabh --> I don't get his character either. He knows now about the theft - its working for him to keep it quiet and get married to Bonita Ronita, but he didn't think he needed to make sure she was not biased against Sona? I mean Dev is suddenly friend and trainer and all?

3. Dadi ---> seems almost immaterial now. why is she there?

4. Soha - Golu jealousy track - seriously?!. Now they are going to let another J track develop. Poor US! Don't we have plenty?

a) Ish J of Sona still

b) GKB J of Dev and Sona

c) Dev J of Jatin with Sona & Soha

d) Vicky J of Dev

There are other emotions out there you know!

I agree Kavi. Which is why I wrote the equation. Dev - Ishwari + alcohol = Season 1 adorable Dev.

Today Dev, the father faced the toughest questions from Bijoy, the father.

Radha does love Golu. I had no doubt about it. Funnily enough, Golu and Vicky are the only people she loves and that's why she is intensely loyal to them. In fact, she is more loyal to the people she loves than Ishwari to the man she claims to love as in Dev. But as usual like everyone in her family, she is greedy and irresponsible.

And I have to add one more thing I liked Devs character today just because he uttered the one word sorry like he meant it. Doesn't mean that I am ok with the redemption part yet. But it's a good start. I think that today for the first time dev saw what sona and her family went through not the whole picture but at least a part of it.
And darling Asha at last managed to gift her not so perfect husband health problems due to high pressure
By putting him in a room with the person he despises the most.
Editing once more because when I said I liked the way dev said sorry I was solely indicating towards the precap. And now that I think about it I hope the scene plays out well and they don't again spoil it somehow

Honestly hun, Bijoy was always hero for me. I criticized him for his rude, sometimes overbearing behaviour, but those are not unforgivable and unexplainable offences. He had always been very honest about his stance and he is not mental without any reason like Ishwari.

What I always found admirable was his utmost loyalty to every member of his family. Being an extremely loyal person myself, I admire that quality in him. He never let one member of his family mistreat another. He always balanced his relationships exquisitely.

Granted having a mother like Dida helped. But Bijoy was never scared of speaking his mind to anyone and no one is scared of speaking their mind against him either because everyone knows that he is, at all times, a fair and just man.

I really admire him. Jatin seems very like him too except he is calm like Asha.

Even if I forgive the locking in the room, how could she forget food and water? People don't even lock a puppy in a room with food and water. Any one of them could have got seriously sick. That was whole other level of cruelty.

I called this on Dev when he locked Sona in the office without food and water. So I have to say it for Asha.

What sensibility people keep talking about when they talk about her? I find her more arrogant than Sona.

CVs forgot a lot of things. I don't know what they are intending to do.

However, Asha is definitely to be blamed for Bijoy's condition. I wrote that in my review. Check it out.

It was a good episode but why the wrong doings from devs side not being addressed? Why CVs forgot Sona losing her home, the pren up, the SLAP, devs get out? They are hell bent to show both sides are wrong when it was not. Not at all they were similar.

Asha Seriously needs to give a break, they are not 5 year old you can lock into a room and make peace. I blame asha too for the BP, he was hyped for days and all she had was shut up bijoy calm down bijoy.
