Yes, Raman finding out or spotting Nidhi is a possibility and in that process, I feel he has stumbled upon a dark secret of the Iyers. I still am confused about Mani's involvement in the truth that Raman is hiding. But if it is Mani whom Raman is trying to save, I really don't think that Mani's truth would shatter Ishita as much as she is shattered by Vandu's death and would want the actual culprit to be punished.
Raman taking so much of humiliations, insults himself, seeing Ishita go through hell, when her parents disowned her, seeing the Iyers, Bala n children shattered so much, I don't think it makes sense if Raman is covering up for Mani, specifically when Mani has already done a crime, by helping Nidhi to escape from prison. Also Raman himself is more close to Vandu than Mani, in my opinion and hence would want the culprit to be punished. But despite that, if he is hiding something, it has to be something big. That is why he apologized to Vandu, when he was brought to PS. It does not make sense in any way for him to protect Mani, even for the sake of his unborn child. I still feel the magnitude of pain Ishita would have on knowing the truth about Mani is definitely not bigger than her pain involved with the loss of Vandu, seeing the pain of Iyers and the need of justice for Vandu's death. It would be really unfortunate if Raman thinks so. I strongly feel that would not be the case. But we never know what the CVs are up to. Let us see.
