Siddhant looked at Roli who was on his shoulder...

Siddhant; Roli.. it went long you coming here... wont they search for you...

Roli: Of course they will... but i arranged pillows like i am sleeping...

Siddhant; Smart.. still what if they try to wake you up...

Roli: oh no.. thats right...

Siddhant; So you go home... before something like that happen...

Roli: But Siddhant.. i am not interested to go away from you...

Sidhant; Not even i am interested Roli... but now... we should take steps carefully... so that we can be together always...

Roli: Ok...

She said with upset face...

Siddhant hold her chin & lift her face...

Siddhant: Roli.. i should not see you upset like that... you know right...

He kissed on her cheeks... then peck her lips...

Roli blushed...

Roli: ok.. i am going.. but tell me what are you going to do...

Siddhant; I am thinking on that only.. dont worry.. i will do something...

Roli: Siddhant... you are still thinking??? come on yaar.. tomorrow is engagement...

Siddhant: its only tomorrow Roli.. time is there.. so dont worry...

Roli: ok...

Roli kissed on his cheeks...

Roli: Bye...

Siddhant; Bye...

Roli got up & went to her house...

While Siddhant was thinking deeply...

He started walking in the fields slowly...

That is when he heard few voices coming near...

Siddhant went there...

He found few guys were taking bath in the pond... also they were talking between them...

Prakash: Veeru... tomorrow your engagement.. but you didn't see your bride yet..

Veeru: Yes Prakash... but they have come from Delhi... i am just waiting for the moment to see her...

Prakash: You said you are yet to buy engagement ring too...

Veeru: Yes.. as we were not having size of her.. we didn't buy yet.. my mom said will give the size by evening so that i can go & buy...

Prakash: Good...

Veeru: That is all not my problem yaar.. i worry for something else...

Prakash: What it is...

Veeru: I dont know anything about her... i mean her wishes... interests... i dont know how to impress her...

Prakash: Right.. what are you going to do now???

Siddhant who was hearing all these realised Veeru is the guy for whom Roli marriage is fixed...

He thought this is nice chance for him to enter...

Siddhant; Its very simple friend...

Veeru & Prakash turned towards Siddhant hearing his voice...

Veeru: What simple...

Siddhant: I was just crossing this way & heard your discussions.. its very simple to impress girls..

Veeru: But how come... she is from Delhi.. and not sure what is their life style there and what all she likes...

Siddhant; I am from Delhi too.. i know their life style very much... they likes simple jewellery... make up set.. modern dresses...

Veeru: Wait wait.. what is these make up set and all.. i dont know...

Siddhant; Dont worry.. i will help you in buying those...

Veeru: Oh thanks... by the way.. who are you... why you have come from Delhi...

Siddhant; Actually.. I am doing my graduation and for project.. i need to write on Village life... their culture.. their procedures.. celebrations...so i came here... but after coming till here... i was wondering who to contact..where to go... what to do...

Veeru: oh ok.. there is nothing to worry like that.. i am here right...

Siddhant: You will help me..thanks dude...

Veeru: You are going to help me.. same way i will help you too... you wanted to write on celebrations.. now my engagement in next week my marriage too going to happen... so you can be with me and write about everything...

Siddhant: Oh thanks a lot my friend... you removed all my tensions..

Veeru: its my pleasure...

Siddhant & Veeru become friends...

Part 37

Roli was sitting on the bed...

Meena came to her...

Meena: Roli... what happened.. you didn't got ready yet for engagement...

Roli: Will get ready mom...

She said without interest...

Meena: Roli.. only some more time left that we need to start engagement... and you are telling will get ready.. make it quick...

Meena went out... keeping her jewels & dress to wear ready...

Roli: Siddhant.. where are you yaar.. only few more minutes left to get ready...

She started getting ready without any interest...

She was wondering where Siddhant will be.. and what is he going to do...

But she was confident that he will do something for sure...

In that confidence.. Roli got ready & looked at herself in the mirror...

Roli: Siddhant... with the hope that you will do something in my engagement.. i got ready.. if you dont come.. i am sure to stop myself or do something.. ok...

She told herself...

Meena came to Roli to see whether she is ready...

Meena: You got ready.. come.. lets go...

Meena hold Roli and bring her to the hall...

Their relatives admired her beauty in the new lehenga..

While Roli was not at all interested... She was wondering what is going to happen...

Engament was arranged in a hall like place in that village itself...

Its walkable from Roli house and all went to that hall with Roli...

When Roli was about to enter...

All from Veeru side came to give warm welcome to Roli & family...

Roli was unable to understand.. how to react...

When Roli was showing a confused face...

'My friend.. give this flower and welcome the bride...'

Roli swiftly lift her face knowing its Siddhant voice...

He was standing with a bouquet and forward it to Veeru...

Roli was thinking.. Siddhant.. with him as friend...

And he is telling to welcome me...

Whats happening...

Siddhant expressed to be relaxed...

Veeru took the bouquet and gave it to Roli...

Roli accept it with a smile...

Veeru was not on the floor seeing beautiful Roli & that too with a smile...

Roli went inside with others towards the stage...

As they were already getting late... Meena took her to the stage to start engagement...

Veeru too came to stage with his relatives & Siddhant too...

Roli was thinking.. he is coming as friend of him instead of stopping the marriage...

Does this mean... engagement going to happen with this guy...

Jamanlal: Exchange rings...

Roli looked at Siddhant... While Siddhant expressed to be relax...

How she can be relaxed.. she was wondering...

Veeru open the box of ring and took the ring which he bought for Roli...

He took out the ring and forward his hand...

Roli again looked at Siddhant...

Siddhant expressed to proceed...

Roli with anger filled look at Siddhant forward his hand...

While Veeru tried to put the ring... it was not getting into her ring finger...

Krishna: Veeru.. you buy this ring taking her size only right...

Veeru: Yes pappa.. i did purchase with her size only...

Krishna: Then how come the ring is not going inside...

Veeru: That is what i am also wondering...

Roli looked at Siddhant while Siddhant gave a mischief smile...

Roli knows its because of Siddhant...

Jamanlal: Its ok.. you put on the little finger... what can be done now...

Veeru put the ring on her little finger... but it was little loose on her little finger...

Then he open the box of his ring... and forwarded towards Roli...

Roli took out that ring and looked at Siddhant...

On seeing him smiling.. Roli knows he did something on that too...

Roli forward her hand with the ring...

Veeru forward his hand... WHile again the ring was not going inside his ring finger...

Krishna: Veeru.. you buy small one for you too..

Veeru: No pappa.. actually i purchased putting it in my hand...

Krishna: Then how come both ring are small...

Veeru: Thats what i am confused pappa... there is no chance for my own ring to become smaller...

Jamanlal: No problem ROli.. put it on his little finger...

Roli put the ring on his little finger...

Jamanlal: What matters if the ring is put in ring finger or little finger... Rings exchanged and engagement complete.. anyway 10 more days for their marriage...

Krishna: Thats right...

All started to talk between them and few went to have food...

Veeru: Roli.. you know i purchased some items for you...

Veeru looked at Siddhant... while Siddhant gave the cover to Veeru...

Veeru gave it to Roli while Roli was looking at Siddhant...

Siddhant expressed to take it...

Roli with a smile took the cover...

When Veeru was trying to talk some more...

Roli; Sorry.. i am feeling head ache.. i am going to take rest...

Veeru: Sure...

Roli rushed inside the room which is for bride...

Roli was inside the room without having dinner...

Meena went inside to call her...

Meena: Roli.. come have dinner...

Roli: I dont want mom.. i am not feeling hungry...

Meena: But Roli.. after lunch.. you didn't had anything...

Roli: What can i do mom.. not feeling hungry...

Meena; Ok.. as you wish...

All other than Roli went to have dinner...

Veeru took Siddhant with him for having dinner...

Jamanlal: Meena.. where is Roli???

Meena; She is not feeling hungry.. she said...

Jamanlal: This girl is always strange...

Some of the relative old lady told...

Old lady: May be not feeling hungry because marriage date is nearing...

Elders agreed and continued having food...

Siddhant was not feeling like having food leaving Roli...

He didn't sit for having food...

Veeru: Siddhant.. you sit and have food..

Siddhant; actually i just had in last set...

Veeru: Where you had.. you were with me only...

Siddhant; No no.. i had.. you might have not noticed.. as i was feeling so hungry.. i had already...

Veeru: ok..

Siddhant moved out from there...

He took a plate of food with him from catering people covering the food with another plate...

He informed that person to keep it secret that he is taking food and he agreed...

Siddhant with plate of food went to bride room...

He looked around and knock the door...

Roli: Who is that...

Siddhant: Roli.. its me...

Roli swiftly opened the door and let Siddhant come inside...

Roli locked the door & looked at Siddhant...

She rushed to hug him tightly...

Siddhant; Roli.. we dont have much time.. come and have food...

Siddhant made her sit in the sofa and sat beside her holding the plate...

Roli: You had food...

Siddhant: Of course i had.. come you have now...

Roli: You had food leaving me...

She gave soft punches on his chest...

Siddhant: Roli.. do you think i will...

Roli smiled...

Roli: You too didn't had...

Siddhant; Yes.. i too didn't.. come lets have...

Roli feed Siddhant while Siddhant feed Roli...

After having food...

Roli forward her hand towards Siddhant...

Siddhant raised his eyebrows like 'what'???

Roli: Our engagement ring...

Siddhant took out the ring from his pocket which was of same design of her right size...

Siddhant slide the ring on her ring finger & kissed on her knuckle...

Then gave another ring which he selected for him to Roli...

Roli slide that ring on Siddhant ring finger...

She went near his face & kissed on his cheeks...

Then lean on his shoulder...

Siddhant kept the ring which Veeru put on her little finger in the box and kept it inside...

Roli: Its you who changed the size right...

Siddhant; yes i did...

Roli: Siddhant.. i love you...

Siddhant; I love you too..

Siddhant kissed on her cheeks...

Siddhant: Roli.. if someone ask how you put the ring on ring finger then answer.. you tried & put yourself...

Roli: Ok.. then what you will do... when someone ask you who has put this ring...

Siddhant; No one will ask as i dont think all might have noticed my rings.. if they ask.. i will tell its another of mine only...

Roli: Well.. i know you will do something...

Siddhant; Why was that confusion & tension in your face when coming here..

Roli: Wont i have confusion & tension.. when i was not knowing whats your plan...

Siddhant: Thats right.. now happy...

Roli: Of course.. though no one around.. our engagement was simple yet beautiful...

Roli & Siddhant hug each other tightly...
