I don't now why I feel Arjun is shrewd and selfish. Unfortunately our society has so much of ingrained regressiveness that it is convenient to blame the other woman and see her as negative and the husband seems only a dumb guy. But nah Arjun is smarter than that albeit a self-obsessed and a selfish one 😛. It is difficult for him to judge how his actions can hurt others whether it is Maya, Saanjh, Ayaan or Vandana.
I don't think Arjun is naive! He's too selfish and obviously shrewd! He knows where his interests lies and he just pressed that button. From day one he uses Saanjh and he married Maya not only for love but also her money and power.
That's the very reason I want Maya to handle him and they do not show something like a naive Arjun feeling miserable due to Maya and Saanjh comes as his rescuer... Cuz somehow I feel Arjun should be taught a lesson.
Maya is damaged and Arjun is selfish and shrewd... Both deserve each other but since this is fiction I want Maya to heal to understand the true meaning of love and Arjun too realize his mistake and they learn to love each other genuinely minus the greed and manipulations
The similarity between Maya and Arjun is that both have had rough childhoods
Both understand what it means to not have the love in childhood
While Arjun missed his mother, Maya missed both her parents love
Maya had worse luck than arjun, cuz atleast Arjun didn't have someone making it worse for him
Maya's torturous past has certainly shaped her today which is why I never directly blame her for the mistakes she makes...
Arjun's childhood also made him want materialistic pleasures because he started thinking emotions don't really pertain to anything in life since he lost his parents at such an early age
Both the kids in them are making mistakes and yet to learn from them
