Anyhow, as I was catching up with SRK's rail journey which I think is one fine tactic because it does the deed and also gives happiness to so many fans, but it also got me thinking

What is the most idiotic thing that you have seen stars do while they promote their movies? Leaving DP's verbal diarrhea and attending TV shows aside cuz thats just too predictable and well known

Mine will have to be the taking pants off session

I came to this thread to mention about that, but you already covered that and said its usual stuff from her(which kind of answered my query on the other thread about her if this is her usual self or is she being particularly stupid because of her HW debut)...😲

Anyways, IMHO the very promotions just puts me off and come off as idiotic...It shows the lack of substance in the actual product!😳

Since everyone will speak about recent tactics, I would go bit back in time . There was a full length news item on TOI front page about Manisha Koirala murdered !! That wasn't time of social media and a lot of people believed that Manisha was murdered.
It was promotional tactic for movie named Criminal . It flopped nevertheless.

I don't know..I just feel all these extensive promotions are killing the actual excitement about the movie...Part of a movie watching experience is its unpredictability and its very very important to me personally...But these days by the time you get to the movie, you already know the songs, song videos, half of the dialogs and most of the gist of the story(or lack thereof)...What is the point to go to the movies if you already know everything about the movie and have a certain expectation from it?
