My Gains and Losses during 2016..

* My adorable grand daughter - in-law Milene coming into our family; ..leaving her country and her relatives and venturing to migrate to a new and different set up with different culture, food habits and language. And her perfect manner of adapting herself to all the three generations in the family..

*My dearest Banjaras who are the life support of my happy and healthy existence..

*My dearest special grand daughters in the virtual family who call me Sachu Patti.. What could give me more satisfaction than the affection they show to me..

* My very dear nieces Lashy, Kausi, and Rose for whom I am their Periyamma , and my dear Harshu, Sandya and others for whom I am their aunt.

* My admiration has no bounds when I speak about our Shyamala aunty.. The whole year brought to me several opportunities to know about her versatility in every field she touched and entered. Her strict behaviour, but kind and affectionate at the same time, and the courage of her conviction..I am attracted by her unique style of writing with p(b)unches of humour..and her affection and love towards her one and only 'Akka'

* My wonderful young niece Lashy, who is the first one to call me periyamma does a phenomenal balancing act juggling her duties as a mother, as the head of the family, as the story writer answering all the posts and keeping herself always cheerful.. A fun loving girl..

*My wonderful little chipmunk Adwi, who has blossomed into a beautiful flower with incense fragrance that permeates the entire place in the IF that has attracted everyone into her fold.. Her language, style and brevity ( at times) are remarkable..

* My admiration over my youngest g'daughter, Shagun, to whom I gave the title "Thagappanswami" meaning, "acharya to the father" . Her extraordinary talents she shows beyond her years, and the respect she has for elders, the understanding of her full responsibility towards her family, School and the forum members...Simply superb.. She brings laurels to her school and to all those who are close to her. May God bless her.

* My dear Bindu prasad who wakes up early and marks her daily attendance in the HBAS register..It always gives me a pep when I see her first responses to my posts.

* I learnt to post pictures, emoticons, write poems, haikus all thanks to you my dear young friends!

* The feeling that I have in your company, can be compared only to a grandma in a joint family with innumerable nephews and nieces and grandchildren..

* ..and finally my sweetest cute little Babloo who joined our family with Baby Sarasa and dragged us to his fantastic world of adventure and mischief, making us totally forget our whereabouts and surroundings...

In toto, I have gained one year in my age and lost one year in my longevity ...😉
