Chapter 10 Continued -

Letting her family go through same agony was last thing on her mind! She decided she will go away to Paris. Then the news will automatically die down in few weeks, maybe Arnav will get married by then. And for her, she will never come back.

Shyam had played nasty again! There was no doubt in it! And Khushi herself did not see it coming... She thought once she avoids both Shyam and Arnav, she can lead her own life, but she learned hard way it was not true...

Now she had no time to mend her own heart or to even think about Arnav. She truly regretted the day she had met him or fell in love with him!

Lot of phone calls congratulating ASR started pouring in at RM since early morning. In fact many flower bouquets were being delivered too at their door since early morning... So Akash switched on the TV and checked newspaper to read news about Arnav getting engaged secretly. But the video shown by all news channels shocked him to the core. Khushi was dragged again for no reason and someone had tried to malign her image and they had succeeded.

He called everyone in the living room. There was no award for guessing who did it. They immediately knew it had to be Shyam. They all needed to go to Gupta House but before that Akash wanted to talk to Arnav. Payal was very hurt, worried for her little sister and was crying continuously thinking about Khushi and her family. How could she forget what emotional roller coaster they had gone through in Lucknow? Anjali, naniji and mamiji were trying to console her.

Akash knocked and woke up his brother. Showed him newspaper and switched on TV. Arnav had been thinking about Khushi whole night, unable to sleep and only managed to sleep early morning... He had hard time to wake up to such a horrible news!

He was holding his head! Had he not released the video that time in Lucknow, Shyam would have never got a chance to malign Khushi again. He was aware how Gupta family were forced to leave Lucknow after that incident and trauma they had to go through.

He punched wall hard. He didn't care about the blood oozing or the hurt. He had hurt her much more and always!

"Akash, give me few minutes to get ready" with that Arnav rushed to bathroom. He let his tears flow under warm water. He was hiding the tears from himself. What had he done?

How is Khushi? How she must be coping? Her neighbors, her friends at college, colleagues and everyone who knows her must be gossiping, trying to find more details and coming to their own conclusions. How could he do this to her again and again?

He won't spare Shyam either. He expected Shyam to hurt him but never thought he would hurt Khushi or spoil her image in public. This is how he loved her? To use her for his advantage and then throw mud at her?

But what was wrong with Arnav? He should have seen it coming. Shyam was knocked out by him and he left no stone unturned to protect and cover for his own family. But he miserably failed to protect Khushi! He should have seen it coming. Shyam was wounded lion and he would attack before going down completely! Shyam must be knowing he and Khushi were not in touch so obviously she was the weakest link that Shyam would try to break!! Arnav felt he should have guessed that and tracked Shyam's last actions!

Entire Raizada family including Arnav reached Gupta House at around 9 am. Arnav had already called to inform newspapers and TV channels that he was not engaged but it was false news.

He threatened them and stopped the news somehow.

But media was present to cover latest as Raizada family reached Lakshmi Nagar. At this point Arnav or any other member of Raizada family did not care about media or gossip. They were focused on Gupta family and Khushi...

Khushi had not returned from office. She had just called and had said she was ok.

That was not a good sign! Either she is too strong or she has shattered completely. He had his Di and Payal talk to Khushi. Payal informed Khushi about how Arnav had nabbed Shyam red handed and punished him last night. Shyam had spread the news of Arnav's engagement along with Khushi's video to take the revenge. Khushi was listening and she had no reaction what so ever.

Arnav purposely addressed media standing in front of Gupta house, to control the damage and both their families standing together behind him... He briefed media that both families were together handling crisis and how Khushi is one of the best person he has met in his life and someone is purposely trying to hurt her which he will not tolerate...

Arnav desperately wanted to talk to Khushi, hug her tight and make her feel protected. But she was not coming home, she had said.

Arnav had called Mr. Mehta and expressed that he would come and meet Khushi in office, bring her back home... But Khushi refused and the media circus did not allow him further. Also he wanted Khushi to have her space and not media focus... He had to wait...

By evening news was taking a back seat and things were coming to normal. Still Khushi had not returned home... Mr. Mehta had called to let them know that he will drop Khushi personally.

Khushi was relieved watching Arnav addressing press live... This time things would be different with both families standing together and Arnav coming forward to clear her image and making an effort to handle the crisis...

But Arnav had a complete negative vibe about her behavior... What does her cold behavior mean? Before he could have his chance to apologize her and win her back, he got kind of worst feeling that he had lost her forever!!
