One of the hottest and driest regions on our planet, Sahara desert, witnessed snowfall on December 19.
Before sharing the stunning pictures of the snow settled on the red sand in the Sahara desert, let's just say that this could be a sign that 2017 could possibly be an amazing year, unlike 2016 that got over sooner than we could realise, but still refuses to end.

Photographer Karim Bouchetata claims to have taken the stunning photographs of snow settled on the red sand in the Algerian town Ain Sefra on December 19.
The last time it snowed in Ain Sefra, the place where the Atla mountains meet the Sahara desert was 37 years ago, in 1979 on February 18, says a Telegraph .
"It looked amazing as the snow settled on the sand and made a great set of photos. The snow stayed for about a day and has now melted away,"
However, seeing these photos, many people on Twitter, as well as some websites, chose to assume and argue that climate change is a myth. For instance, this.
