Very sad that someone like Alia won best actress lol - there's no hope for Bollywood. I think this is one of the most lowest moments for Bollywood for someone like Alia to win a best actress awards.

Bollywood is over. It always bows down to nepotism! I think I know what Tapsee was saying now.

The Star Screen Awards 2016 is currently in progress, a good month before the release of a big film like Dangal'. The awards shows has been in news because Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will be co-hosting it.

Amitabh Bachchan won the Best Actor award, Alia Bhatt walked away with the Best Actress trophy. Pink' was announced as the Best Film of the year, while Ram Nadhvani was declared as the Best Director for Neerja.

The Star Screen Awards will be telecast in the last week of December.

Star Screen is usually the critics' award..they used to get it more right than others. They were fairly on point this year barring a couple of mishaps of course. I get they wanted to air NYE but ignoring all December releases is plain weird, especially for a function like SCREEN. Doesn't SP usually air that BIG star awards with the wooden plank on NYE? I guess that function is done.

So top awards this year will be between Neerja and Pink at all award functions, deservingly so. These are the best movies I saw this year. I don't think Big B was the best this year.

When SRK was hosting, I knew he wouldn't get any awards. It's also ok ..he has taken home his share of undeserving awards for the last few years that not winning when he actually deserves to is karma.

From the updates seems like Salman-Srk won't host the show fully which I wanted them to host fully but... will host segments here n there and now they will make this USP for 31st Dec. 🤔

The only thing to look abt the show now is Salman and Srk dance performance.

@turqoisedress, This time they swaped Big star awards with Screen for new year. Its gonna be Screen thsi year for new years eve where Big Star was airing for last 5-6 years.

Yeah looks like the Big Star awards didn't get them enough TRP's so they switched to Screen.
