He knew his Madhav arrived. He kept his promise. Instantly he opened his eyes and clasped Krishna tightly with force that made him bent backwards laughing all the way. Next moment both were rolling on the grass bed gleefully enjoying each other's love . The officers and others who were present could not help but wonder on seeing the comradiare between the Lord of Dwaraka and the third son of Kunti.

After they had their fill both the friends got up and laughed at themselves.Arjun questioned him." When did you come ? I thought you will join me on my way back." Krishna said." No we started late. That is why Satya felt better to reach by the time you return.

Arjun smirked " Why didn't you bring Rukmini Devi for a change? Why should Satya only enjoy with you? " Krishna smiled." You think Satya will stay back? As for Rukmini Father Vasudev can not do without her.She will definitely come by the time Aswamedha starts.

The two friends walked hand in hand by Yamuna.Arjun explained his Himalayan adventure and remarked." I want to stay back. But Ved Vyas Rishi said you will take me higher when the time comes. When do you grace me Madhav?

Krishna replied firmly." When we finish our duty on this earth it happens. Then we will stay together permanently. Now enough of your vairagya. Think of meeting Parikshit,Subhadra Kunti Bua and Ofcourse your Krishnaa."

How is she? Arjun enquired in a low voice' Krishna smiled." I saw her glimpse in the morning. I felt she did not sleep all through the night. I said she will have the chance only after me."

Arjun smiled." I can't count how many times we drifted apart. Every separation made us feel more bound to each other. Her love always elevates my confidence in myself."

Krishna smiled back. " Now let us rush fast. Subhadra is impatient to tell you about the new things Parikshit learnt."

Arjun pulled him on to the horse.Hastinapur citizens came out and greeted the friends with excitement.

Panchali did Aarti while Subhadra smiled happily with Parikshit in hands.The boy stretched his hands and welcomed his grand father. Arjun's hazel eyes met with his Krishnaa's lotus eyes.

He greeted her with a smile and questioned." How is your boy Bhadra?"

Subhadra pouted and protested." Bhrata look at him He is saying my boy! " In the meantime Bheem rushed forward and lifted Arjun from the ground." Proud of you my brother. You gave a perfect answer to that foolish Duryothan who must be watching us with jealousy.Our treasury is overflowing again."

Nakul questioned Arjun mischievously. " I hope everything went on well. Bhrata. Any special adventures there? " Arjun's face turned red while Krishna laughed and answered." Be assured Nakul. No such things will happen again. " Krishna side glanced Draupadi while saying so.

Parikshit pulled himself towards Arjun stretching his hands. Arjun cuddled the baby and hugged him closer. He got tears in his eyes. His Abhi offered him the gift that is more precious than his life.

Cruel fate snatched his dearest son away and left Pari as his memory.

Uttara touched his feet and said" Pari missed you so much" She said.

Gandhari blessed Arjun with tears." Phalgun, You are the pride of Hastinapur. My foolish son emptied the treasury but you again filled it my son! May your fame live forever."

Kunti took Arjun on her lap and bent her face on his head.She remembered the prediction at Satasringa. Ashwamedha must be the last achievement in that list. Her Phalgun fulfilled the prophesy almost. Again he has to go with the horse.Hardly he has a respite for himself. Kunti raised her eyes and found her Eldest Bahu looking at them both. She has to bear with separation again.All her life she spent mostly away from him. Is she the culprit?

Kunti called Draupadi and said." Look after him Bahu. He needs a scented head bath. Subhadra is busy as today Pari's nails will be cut by Raj Vaidyaa."

Kunti ruffled his hair and said." Go Phalgun! Your wife will attend on you."

Arjun looked at his Krishnaa who stood hesitant. Kunti's willingness to let him be with her got her confused. Arjun stood and approached Draupadi and bent his head." Will the queen spare her precious time for me?" He asked with a glint of mischievousness. Yajnaseni turned back and walked towards her mansion followed by her Arjun.

It took one hour to wash his hair properly with the help of Malini and maids. Now finally the hair looks perfectly done and Draupadi. Sighed with relief.Even after all these years Arjun's hair still keeps her on her toes that much difficult it is to maintain his hair. Panchali signalled Malini to take the bowl away and sighed with relief. She has to go and look after the dinner arrangements.She got up and told Arjun who is enjoying his wife's care with closed eyes." I am going Arjun You can relaxingly come with Govind." Arjun pulled her closer without opening his eyes. " Stay for a while queen.You have magic in your hands. How nicely you removed my fatigue? I want to sleep now."

Draupadi smiled at him and said." Sleep then but Govind sent message that he is coming.Pragati missed you so much.She says she will accompany you with the horse.She went to Gurumata to bring her to Hastinapur.Aswamedh will commence in fifteen days.you know that."

Arjun nodded his head and said." Yes I know. You have to take Yajna Diksha and I have to go with horse." Arjun looked at her dull face and understood her gloom. He will go for so many months.She will miss him again.

Arjun hugged her closer and kept quiet.Panchali felt his love and concern through his touch.

" Sakhi Parth gone to sleep? He won't eat food it seems.Yajnaseni's love made him filled in every way. No" Krishna's voice heard first and next moment Krishna stood with his charismatic smile.

Draupadi moved back in time but Satya who came behind did not leave the chance to tease.

" Arjun! You are too clever you will move away from her always but will compensate immediately by being there. My poor Panchali will forget herself and submit before you."Satya shot her words as an amused Arjun side glanced his wife.

Krishna praised Panchali." Kalyani you are too good. How nicely you managed his hair! He looks much younger now."

Satya stopped Krishna." Enough Swami. Your Parth already has loads of attitude. Don't praise him more." Arjun retorted instantly." Why can't he praise me when he can praise you every minute? Every one knows your attitude.Think of that."

After the dinner Ved Vyas briefed the procedure of Aswamedha to Pandavas in the presence of Krishna.He then asked Arjun." Do you have your list of kingdoms through which the horse should go?

Arjun nodded his head.Yudhishtir declared again." I don't want bloodshed Arjun! Avoid wars.Try to win hostile kings with words rather than arrows.Dont take much army with you. Take only those who will look after the horse and help you set up camps."

Bheem looked with irritation and said." Eldest you are too much. The Gandhara Pragjyotisha like kingdoms would never submit before us without war. Why are you demoralising Arjun! Alone he is going on a tedious journey.Be compassionate Eldest"

Bheems words made Draupadi happy. This middle son of Kunti always loved Arjun so very much. She looked at him with appreciation.

Krishna patted Bheem and said." Bhrata Bheem Eldest does not want war again after Kurukshetra. That is making him say such words. But don't worry. Parth will manage. This expedition is a challenge for his all round skills.

Babhru informed with excitement." Jyesht Mata.Pitasri will start with the horse in one month. We should be prepared." Ulupi . Looked at him with concern." Arjun's son should stand firm in the moment of crisis.The inevitable is approaching faster.She told Babhru." Make yourself fit enough to face your father Babhru. So much depends on you Chitra's son "

Babhru looked at her with surprise and stated " I will face him not as an opponent but only as a son.Mata I respect him a lot."

Ulupi kept quiet. Niyati will take care of the future. She need not worry.

Wait for us we also will come. Panchali has to finish her work." Satya demanded.

Arjun placed his hand round Krishna's waist and forcefully made him walk. He called out to Satya" Come leisurely . Meanwhile we share our secrets."

Satya made a face and rushed to Panchali to hurry her up.

Krishna said in a soft voice." Parth I may not come to Hastinapur again. After Aswamedha I will leave for Dwaraka and stay there only." Arjun is disturbed sensing a strange aloofness in Krishna's words.

He got up and sat nearer to his Madhav and asked." Why do you say so? Anything serious happening at Dwaraka? "

Krishna composed himself and assured." Nothing like that Parth. Both Pitasri and Bhrata Balram feels I am not attending to the inner problems but solving problems outside Dwaraka.

Arjun reassured him." After Aswamedha I don't have anything left to do. I will move over to Dwaraka.

But I can't stay away from you."

Krishna placed his head on Arjun's lap and asked." You think I can stay away from you? But destiny sometimes asks us to face challenges.And we should be ready to face the challenges.Parth We should show the way to others.How to live life to the fullest without neglecting our duties. And We succeeded in doing so. Do you think any one else lived and enjoyed like us? We fought wars, we roamed around,We explored new things and we explored love to the fullest.Now life demands separation we should not feel bad.You know why?"

Krishna asked benevolently. Arjun looked at him with questioning eyes.

Krishna replied fixing his lotus eyes on Arjun." Because our separation is physical. Our souls will never get separated. That is the eternal truth.You live in me. I live in you."

Arjun kept quiet. He understood what his Madhav meant. An impending separation he is hinting at.Will it be the last phase of their lives?"

Suddenly the sound of anklets and bangles were heard.Satya and Draupadi stood before them looking at them with eyes wide open.Satya teased them." If one of you is a girl you would definitely have married each other. Then my lord wouldn't have looked at us if you are a girl,if he is a girl you wouldn't have attended Draupadi Swayamvar"

Arjun did not say anything in reply.Draupadi asked him" What happened? Why are you serious?"

Krishna got up and answered tongue in cheek." Parth is feeling bad to leave you again Kalyani. He is in two minds to go with the horse."

Draupadi sulked " Govind I know he will go.Why do you make fun of me?"

Satya supported Panchali" Your Arjun prefers Gandiv to Panchali. Proved fact. Swami. Enough of your fun. I know you won't reveal your secrets to us.

Krishna placed his hand round Satya and said." You are always right dear. But Parth loves Panchali that is the foremost truth. Certified by me. Believe it Sakhi. Right?"

Panchali looked into his hazel eyes that captivated her years back.Yes she very much likes to believe Govind's words.But what about his love for Subhadra,and others like Chitra?

Malini brought hot Badami milk and served to them. Satya relished it and praised Panchali" you train them so well friend. I never get this taste anywhere else.

Malini then handed over a patr to Arjun and informed." Messengers from Madhurai brought this Rajkumar Arjun. They said they will meet you tomorrow."

Krishna laughed and declared." The answer for Sakhi's doubt will be in that patr"

Panchali looked at Arjun with suspicion while Satya clapped and shouted." Read it fast Arjun.What is that answer?"

Arjun opened the patr and read it silently.

Alli wrote.

Arya Arjun Finally You remembered me through your letter. Pleased to know that you are going with the horse. But don't take trouble to come over here.Your twin Sons are Twelve years old. They need your blessings. I am sending the letter of acceptance for Eldest's Emperorship. I know there is no need to do that. Still I know Eldest.He go by the rules.

By the way I will come to Hastina before you reach back.Hope you bless your sons to be your true successors.And I also hope you shower your love on me like I always want. Forgot?

Arjun can not control himself. He laughed heart fully much to the irritation of Satya and Draupadi.

Krishna joined him and laughed merrily.

Panchali stood up to go. She walked ahead but Arjun caught with her and pulled her towards the flower hut.Panchali tried to stop him but he did not allow." Don't you want to get your answer Yajnaseni?" Arjun asked still laughing. Panchali stood silently looking at his beautiful face.

Arjun kept the letter for her to read but Draupadi declined." It is bad manners to read other's letters"

Arjun then hugged her and showed the last line." Read only this much,he insisted.

Love me like you love your Krishnaa." Panchali read the line and closed her eyes. She saw Alli's charming face before her.

Arjun whispered in her ears." See even Alli believes in my love for you. But...

Krishnaa turned back and hugged him closer,She is proud yes. I love you Arjun.She whispered.

The flower hut is made with fragrant malatis,jasmines and white lillis. The flowers will be changed every day so that the freshness of the flowers remain intact.

That is Arjun's favourite place . He never misses to spend time there either with his Krishnaa or with Subhadra.But he stays very little at Hastinapur so such occasions are a rarity for him.

Now after Aswamedha all his wives will stay back as per the information he got.Arya,Alli,Chitra Ulupi will definitely stay over. He doesn't know about Rekha still.

Panchali asked him penetrating into his eyes." Lost in your Alli Rani's thoughts?"

Arjun smiled and pulled her to sit beside him." Not only Alli. Looks like all your co wives will stay here forever after Aswamedh.Already Devika Bhabhi is here. Jalandhara,Karenu and Vijaya are here.Now remaining will also come over."

Panchali turned her face away." Let them come. They have every right to stay.They are the queens of Kuru Vamsh.Dont think I have a problem.now your Yajnaseni is above such issues.

Arjun understood her thoughts. She is tired of the trivialities of life.She endured so much heart break and insults that dried up her heart. She has to bear with the deaths of Abhi Kirti and other sons.

Now she reached a stage where nothing effects her in the long run.

On top of it she has to bear with his separation. His expedition may take eight months to twelve months.But to his relief Madhav will stay back till his return.

Panchali looked into his thoughtful eyes and asked." How could you win the hostile kings without using force? Tell your Eldest it is not possible. Easy to say but difficult to accomplish.

Arjun took her face in his hands.Her concern for him sometimes makes him guilty. What did he do to enjoy that much love from her! Some good deeds for sure.He said in a soft voice.

" Nothing will happen to me.Dont stress yourself too much. If the kings are not willing to oblige I will definitely use my power.Nothing will happen as long as Krishna and Krishnaa love me the most."

Panchali listened to his captivating words without blinking her eyes. Probably this war may be his last one.No necessity of Wars further .

Arjun drank her astounding beauty with eyes wide open and wondered. God had created her in a special way. There are no signs of aging.The hair did not have atleast a single piece of grey colour.

Her face is like a blue lotus blooming with the rays of moon light.

Her conch like neck has only black beeds round it that enhanced her charm.

The simple white pink sary she wore suited her perfectly making her slender form look luring

Arjun touched her waist that can be taken into his single fist and exclaimed." Timeless beauty you are Krishnaa.Alli is correct when she says I am obsessed with you. Yes I am Yajnaseni.I will drown myself to eternity in your ravishing beauty that glows with your infinite love for me."

Years of separation from his beloved made Arjun realise how dearly and passionately he loves his Krishnaa.He did not hesitate anymore to advance to feel the ultimate bliss in their union that night.

Panchali felt his passion and shivered with equal anticipation to fulfill the urge of her Arjun.

She willingly moved closer though feeling apprehensive of her inhibitions and hesitations.

Arjun overpowered her with his aggressive love and confessed." I love you Krishnaa not only in this life but in many more lives ahead.
