@Shruthi I really want to know why sita wants to do Bhoomi pravesh and no unite with Ram. Why does she think Ram is angry with her ? I understand its not easy to forget the sorrowful years of 12 years and the deceit she received from Ayodhya. 😕

Today's episode was top class with the line a woman is judged by the society not based on her actions, but the way society wants to see her. I will make a separate post on this line. Now coming to the episode. Many loops were closed today.

First the decision of Ram. Go back to the time when Ram decided to banish Sita. He is taking opinion of everyone without telling the reason. He observes the praja. Their actions. Sita banishment happens in night. It is night when Mahalakshmi is send away from palace and no one bothers.

Once again go back to the Aswamedha epi. Ram convinces the common people with his simple talk. Who remains. The so called knowledgeable moral brigade. The ones who decide what is right what is wrong. Same happens when Ram announces the decision today. The praja is convinced. They are guilty. They understand what they did is wrong. Moral brigade remains. Now see Hari's Maya. He goes and publicly announces he is going to bring back his wife without any purity test. For centuries the society has judged a woman not based on her actions, but the way they want to see her. This is a society that gives unequal status to men, a superiority position to men and it is against woman. The same woman who gives birth as mother, the same woman who becomes part of a man as wife and same woman who is a man's blood as his daughter. He the king of Ayodhya has decided to end this culture of inequality. So Ram breaks the law of Ayodhya that a woman's actions will be looked into before handing her out punishment. It will not be based on what a man thinks is right. She will be given a chance to defend herself. Note the point which is unsaid. She will be given a chance to defend herself. What Shatrughnan couldn't do to Dhobi's daughter and what Ram couldn't do to Sita is the fact that they were not given a chance to defend themselves. Unilateral decision was taken based on society's views. Because that was the law. Now Sita can defend herself. The field is out in the open. Sanskriti is standing with head bowed. Moral brigade tongue tied. Why the defense by Sita is important. A man has to know the pain of rejection. A husband has to know the pain of rejection. A son has to know the pain of rejection. How it feels. Especially the sons Luv-Kush. So that never in their life they reject a woman whether it is their wife or their daughter. It is not just Sita's self respect. It is not just what Sita went through.It is about what the future generations should not go through.

Subtle rejection of Shanta and Kausalya and open rejection of Kaikeyi by Dasrath and Bharath, unquestioned support taken from Urmila and Mandavi when Lakshman and Bharath left them in the name of duty. Every single thing has to be told. Yes a man has to know how it feels when a woman does rejection, when she goes telling her duty is complete. So that they become more humane. They understand a woman is not the golden statue without feelings, she is an individual with feelings. The golden statue I had earlier put in some other post is symbolic of a woman's status in the society like Ayodhya. Mute metal covered in gold but should see nothing,hear nothing, speak nothing and feel nothing. Even if some sense is there don't show that sense in public. It is this myth Sita is going to break. A woman sees, hears, want to speak and can feel.

Now Ram keep on Siya-Ram milan. He going through her wedding dress and wedding jewellery. She came in his life wearing bright red, the color of love and she will go from his life wearing orange the color of fire. But will love remain. Yes it will always remain. It cannot go. It will never go. The beautiful garden Sita created in Panchavati without her. That is what she will give. She gives a much better world for her daughters through her struggle while she resides in Ram's heart always. Centuries later also it is like that. She is in Ram's heart, that is why she could do what she did and become the epitome purity and all other noble qualities.

Now the ashram scenes. Once again go back. The couples visiting Shanta's ashram after the wedding. Sita calls Shanta to the palace.Shanta refuses to come. Reason she doesn't want to feel rejected again. She has taken many indirect insults for being a girl. But her rejection remains subtle and no one sees it. Remember that day Shanta asks Sita about Ram what she thinks about him. And they were making food.

Today Sita sat on one side with her sisters on other side. What they had was cooked food. And they asked doesn't she wants to ask anything about Raghunandan. The man who loves her like anything. Sita the new bride talks happily about Ram, but today Sita the woman is sad when she tells marrying him was my good fortune, but then it was also misfortune. Yes Ravan took me, he suffered. I was banished again he suffered. And she knows what pain she is going to give him now. From going away from his life once and for all physically. A pain which she is forced to give him. Sita does not want to come back. But she doesn't tell anything. Because unlike Shanta's rejection of Ayodhya's society it is not going to be subtle. It is going to public and brutal. Ram knew the sister's may not get another chance with Sita. That's why he sends them to ashram. Now why food making between Shanta and Sita. Cooked food between Sita and sisters. At that time with marriage of Ram-Siya the journey of justice for Shanta and other woman of Ayodhya had just begun. Today it is complete, law has changed. Hence preparation of food and cooked food. Sita had to help Shanta in preparing for justice. Now with her justice is done, her sisters and coming generations just need to take it and have it. When you have never forget the effort spend in its preparation.

Shruti di beautifully penned analysis. The hints given before in action and reason beind it and that hints becoming true now is well described. Why did Ram took the decision to break a tradition now but could not took it 12 yrs back was well written. Why should Siya reject coming back to Ayodhya and her beloved Raghunandan despite of immense love is brutal but right decision. Shree Ram and Siya both knew everything from begining but both undergone the pain and agony to teach society a lesson.

I loved the point where u wrote that Siya should reject Ram for her sons so that they will never give the same disrespect that was given to her. By rejecting her beloved Raghunandan Siya being representative of all the women rejects all the men and society who disrespect women and suspects their character.

Shruti di U should write on the song played when Siya was requesting Ram to take her with him for vanvas "Do he kaya ek pran ki, jahan ram he wohin janki". If u already wrote on that song plz inform me .that is very spl song for me and both Asish nd Madirakshi did well with their expression in that song.
