Wonderful chapter Sherya😊
Hi! I am back with the next chapter of Earth's child. It's shortish, but I hope you like it. Do read and review! 😳
Chapter 2
Something was wrong, and whatever happened, nothing could convince her otherwise. Nothing. She was pacing in her room, trying to put stuff away, yet restless.
"Love?" She whipped around. He was here.
"Arya!" she threw herself at him.
"Hey, you okay?" Bharat asked her, holding her. "Mandavi?"
"I am. You're not." It wasn't a question.
"I am just reliving those years."
"Don't, Arya. Don't." She placed a hand on his chest and looked up at him. "Don't. It's not your fault."
"But.."
"No, Arya, ask your Ram Bhaiya, he will agree."
"I know, love. But you are all biased."
"Really, Arya?" She asked. "Lord, trust me, it wasn't your fault." She cupped his cheeks lovingly. "I promise."
"What is bothering you, love?" he asked, seeing the turmoil in her eyes.
"Amma, Arya," she said, resting her head on his chest. "She keeps saying that this isn't the right choice of career for me. I don't know what to tell her."
"She will see that what you are doing is absolutely right for you. Trust your Pa."
"Talking about me?" said a voice.
"Paaa!" said Janani, running into His arms. "I was waiting for you for agesss!"
Janani smiled.
"What are you smiling for?"
"Nothing Amma, I am not smiling. I have a lot of work to finish."
"Now you're answering back to me!"
"Sorry, Amma."
"You had better be. I had thought that after what happened, you would at least be a bit better, but no. Nothing changes." Meera snapped at her daughter.
"Amma, you know that what happened wasn't my fault!" Janani's temper flared.
"Nonsense!"
"Amma, whatever you say, it wasn't my fault, and nothing can change that."
Janani pushed her chair back and went to the dining table to fetch herself a drink of water. Her phone was on the table, and she read the text she had received.
Dharu: Take care, kid.
She smiled. Her Ma was with her. She had nothing to fear. Her Pa was with her, her Ma was with her, her Arya was with her.
