And yes I do a lot for my country India like watching movies in cinemas instead of watching pirated versions of films online so that the taxes collected via sale of tickets at the box office goes to government coffers which in turn is used to pay salaries of the soldiers and other men in uniform when they are alive and pensions when they are retired or dead, This is better than giving a one time cheque of Rs.5 lakhs to Rs, 10 lakhs which would get over in 1 year max and then no one will check on them after brownie points are won. And yes I do other stuff too but dont want to discuss them here so as not to give out personal information. I hope this satisfies you and inspires you to contribute to your original motherland ie Nepal atleast by watching all movies you do watch in the cinemas wherever you are.

thats uncalled for😲

Hate to say this but it does...U never know where the proceeds are going!I was doing this a lot until I had my wife give me a reality check...
So I just wait for BW movies to be shown on DTH...They do in a month's time...But ONLINE?? NOPE!
I have heard many deriding some movies (particularly of their favorite's contemporary) by mentioning that they would be watching pirated copies of the same...

Some F * ing idiots recorded Fan's climax on their cams & posted it on twitter on the morning of the release of the same...Almost all Fan Groups have resorted to these cheap tricks to settle scores...This gotta STOP!

I agree...if you did it unknowingly so far then fine. Its very thrilling like a us vs them kind of thing. But when you know it and still go ahead then you are doing it willfully.
That way I would prefer Canadian Akki donating some money and highlighting it. Atleast his money is going to the right people and he is paying his taxes plus not contributing to piracy knowingly.

These video sharing sites and private networks buy the files and then put it up on their sites for downloads. Now, you need to pay money for the downloads and only members can download these films. Websites who get access to these films need to pay somewhere around Rs 10 lakhs each to get access to these films. Once that money is paid to a particular account, the file is transferred to again. The terrorist organisation now completely moves away from the network.

4) You can now download the film: The whole operation (including money transfers) takes only 48 hours and generally by every Saturday, films are available for individual users. Some websites and networks offer the download for free and earn their money by including advertisements from po*n sites. There are others who charge a nominal fee for these downloads, which usually ranges between Rs 100 to 200 INR.

I used to download HW movies on torrent...but stopped 21/2 yrs back when i got married...
BW movies u don't need to resort to these tricks...
moser baer had a great initiative where they used to sell BW movies on DVD at 25 bucks or something like that ...
I wonder if the high ticket prices & DVD prices are the reason for this rampant piracy that's why I thought moser baer's initiative was a masterstroke!!!
Anyways watch you Sultans & Fans & Dangals & other decent movies(including Masaan, Pink etc) on the big screen & wait for the middling & half decent ones on DTH!
& AVOID the crappy ones!
That's the regimen I follow

It goes to Pakistan later...Indian movie piracy starts in India. Its the first step as given here. What do we do about such people?

1) Agents copy from master copies: The piracy starts in smaller towns of India and reportedly in some specific areas on the outskirts of Delhi. As soon as the masterprint reaches the movie hall, the owner or an employee of the theatre allows an agent' to copy the film. In some cases, where technology is absent to copy a film from the master copy, they simply play it on the big screen and then shoot it with a video camera. The transfer and the distribution of the films are directly managed and supervised by agents of the Indian Mujahideen.

As for Fawad's take on piracy this is what he said recently:

Piracy is like a cancer, needs to be tackled soon: Fawad Khan
Yashika Mathur, Hindustan Times | Updated: Aug 20, 2016 18:04 IST

Actor Fawad Khan talks about the problem of piracy which is spreading around the world. (Pramod Thakur/ HT Photo)
Actor Fawad Khan feels that piracy poses a huge threat to the film industries around the globe and not just in India or Pakistan. He also emphasises that although over the years, the perception of audience has changed but the problem still persists and is far from getting over.
"Piracy is like a cancer in the society which will take a while to be cured. It is a global problem and we must do something to put an end to this menace," says Fawad , who has been a part of the films such as Khoobsurat (2014) and Kapoor & Sons (2016).

Fawad's popularity burgeoned in India after his Pakistani show Zindagi Gulzar Hai became a hit in the country.
About the changing dynamics of the film industry in Pakistan, the 34-year-old actor says, "With each passing day, the number of movie goers in Pakistan are increasing and same goes for the number of screens. Most of the films are releasing now in Pakistan."

Actor Salman Khan's recent release Sultan is the best example of this change in Pakistan.
"Salman's Sultan gave a record opening in Pakistan, if you look at the records of the past three years. That shows that people actually prefer going to cinema rather than downloading it at home," says Fawad, who will soon be seen in Karan Johar's next directorial.

agree with you on Piracy point 👍🏼
as we know that Pakistan is behind Piracy and Terrorism than why we gave money to Paki artist on which they pay TAX in PAKISTAN and the same MONEY USED FOR TERRORISM ... we should Boycott the movie in which Pak artist working ... i think its also indirect help to our country ...

This is in a bad taste. Sorry! you are trying to divert the topic here by justifying your comments on Akshay Kumar...First of all you claimed that he didn't donate anything just attended award ceremony...when article's facts brought to your attention you are trying to downplay his contribution /gesture saying it won't do any good to families/he is doing this to earn brownie points.

Yes piracy is wrong and most of us here know that.
Topic is about Akshay and his gesture to families of martyrs !!!

@Nathu: Dil ko behlane ke liye ghalib..khyal achcha hain. Everyone who knowingly supports piracy is a criminal. The governments across the world aise hi dont support their industries against pirates.
