Chapter 13

"Bhaiyya...bhaiyya...wake up..." Khushi shouted as she shook a sleeping Ritik who was in no mood of waking up. "Khushi...bhaag yaha se..." he said and buried his face in pillow.

"Bhaiyya someone is here to meet you! Wake up!" Khushi cried. "WHO?" Ritik shouted in frustration.

"Some girl!" Khushi said.

"GIRL!" Ritik screamed and sat up, "Who?" he asked excited.

Khushi smacked his arm and said, "There is no girl. I lied to wake you up. It's a man from Scotland Yard, he said!"

"Arrey yaar!" Ritik whined, "I thought it is some girl!" he lied on the bed and then sat up again, "Wait Scotland Yard! What are they doing in India? And who came?"

"I don't know. Go down!" Khushi said and walked away.

Ritik ran down after brushing his teeth and cried. "Hey Jerry, it's you!"

"Hello sir" Jerry said. "What are you doing here?" Ritik asked.

"Sir, Sergeant Donovan has sent me here to work with you" Jerry said handing over a letter to Ritik. Ritik read it and said, "Is Donovan crazy? More men mean we're alerting our targets! I have Greg with me! Ok fine, you can work with me but this Donovan is telling that he is gonna sent more men!"

"I'm afraid but he is pretty serious about it sir!" Jerry said.

"This crazy old man!" Ritik muttered, "Ok Jerry, I'll give you the address where Greg is staying. You share the flat with him!"

"Ok sir" Jerry said and soon moved out.

Arora Mansion, 10.00 pm

"Arrey Madhumati, come in!" Shagun welcomed Payal's Buaji who is her best friend too. Payal had gone to the airport to receive them.

"Hay re Nandkishore, Shagun, kaise ho?" Buaji cried hugging her friend. "Badiya...how was your journey?" Shagun asked. "Good"

"Aunty ji, you forgot me!" a voice complained.

"Arrey meri rockstar, come here!" Shagun cried and NK hugged her. "Missed you aunty!" he said. "Missed you too mere raja..." Shagun said ruffling his hair.

"Ha, don't call me raja in front of your son. He is jealous of me and will now kick me out if he finds that his mom loves me more than him!" NK said and everyone laughed. "By the way where is he?" he asked.

"Oh he has gone out for some work. Even Khushi is at AR!" Payal said.

AR head office, 11.00 pm

"Why did you call me?" Khushi asked as she entered Arnav's cabin.

"I had the call from designers. Your engagement lehenga is ready and it's in the AR wardrobe. Why don't you try it?" Arnav asked.

"I'll pack it home. I'll try it from there!" Khushi said.

"But why? I too wanna see!" Arnav cried.

"You're gonna see me on the engagement day!" Khushi said.

"Please darling!" Arnav cried and pulled her. She crashed on his chest and he whispered, "I want to see how much that dress fits you!"

"Arnav, please..." Khushi whined.

"Chalo!!! Chalo..." Arnav pulled Khushi to upstairs.

"Beautiful!" word came out of his mouth. Khushi stood smiling in the light baby pink lehenga which had dark violet borders. She had left her hair open and she looked at Arnav who was gaping at her.

"Okay now, you saw me. Now I'm gonna change!" Khushi said suddenly unable to take his eyes which were roaming all over her body. She turned and tried to run away but he held her hand and pulled her to him. "Not so fast Mrs. Raizada" he whispered in his husky voice.

"I'm not Mrs. Raizada...that'll happen a week after!" Khushi said looking away but not at his eyes.

He pushed her to the nearby wall and stood close to her pressing his body with hers. "Arnav what are...you..." she murmured as he started roaming his hands over her soft arms. He moved his hands up her arm to her shoulder. He leaned closer to her and kissed her neck softly.

"Arnav..." Khushi whispered as she felt his lips on her neck. She felt him pressing himself on her and kissing jaw line. She arched her neck backward with her eyes closed and lips parted. Soon she felt his lips all over her face. She clutched his shirt collars and moaned his name.

He leaned to her face and brushed his face with hers. He moved his thumb across her lips and could feel her breath becoming shallow.

Soon his lips replaced the thumb.

After hours of passionate encounter, both of them lied exhausted with their entangled bodies covered with a white satin sheet.

She hid her face in his neck and rested her arms on his chest. She could feel his hand caressing her bare back under the sheets.

"Regrets?" she heard him asking. Snuggling to him, she whispered, "I don't know!"

"I thought you would be broken after knowing about him!" he said caressing her hairs.

"I never felt anything for him. When he proposed me I agreed because my Nani was worried since I was not married at the age of 27. I thought I would eventually fall for him, but I couldn't. So I started acting as if I love him...to be honest, Shyam's truth didn't affect me" she said closing her eyes and lying on his chest.

"What did?"

"I have been sharing bed with a criminal for the past 3 years! I have been under the impression that he is a good man but instead he has spoilt many lives!" she said, "I regret my decision to be Mrs. Anjali Jha!"

"Now you'll be free from it!" he said softly and she took a deep breath and asked, "After that?"

"You'll be with me!" he said pulling her more to him. She looked at his face and asked, "Why do you love me Ritik?"

"I don't know" he said honestly.

"You met me just one week before. What did you see in me?" she asked in tears.

"A woman who longs for love!" he whispered and took her lips for a passionate kiss.

Poor Anjali.. Got married to please her Nani.. Once Ritik catches Shyam, they can be together. The other lovebirds are also in each other's arms 😛
