Rustom/Mohenjo Daro 2nd Day (Saturday) Morning, Noon & Night Occupancy
After registering the fair opening day in Indian box office the biggies now marked on 2nd day on screens. Interestingly both the flicks are giving tough competition to each other. Akshay Kumar-Ileana D'Cruz crime thriller opened to positive word of mouth from the audience and critics, while the Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde periodic drama opened to mixed reviews and fair ratings from critics. Rustom maintained occupancy on steady note around 45-50% in the morning shows and showing good escalation on coming shows. While Mohenjo Daro is opened to decent number only in big multplexes of metropolitan cities.

Both the flicks are highly anticipated and must say what a fantastic opening that the 2nd half of 2016 received on silver screen as well box office. The advance booking received decent response since the ticket counter being opened across the nation. Delhi NCR: The capital region opened to fair occupancy in the early shows or morning shows. But in comparison Rustom clearly emerging winner on second day as well. The reason could be Akshay massive fan following in this region. The morning shows of Rustom kicked off with 45-50% everywhere and showing good growth in further shows. The noon and evening shows has packed with 65-70% in some screens and night shows is expected to make growth as tomorrow being Sunday.
On the other hand Hrithik periodic doesn't look so good in the morning shows but showing slight growth in its noon shows drama has opened to average occupancy round 20-25% while some screens opened with 40% occupancy in the early shows. The film largely depend on audience word of mouth.
Mumbai: The film city also opened to similar range for Akshay's crime thriller. The morning shows occupancy recorded 60-65% in Cinemax: Infiniti Mall, Malad (W), Cinemax City Centre: Vashi, INOX: R-City, Ghatkopar and Ashok Anil Multiplex: Ulhasnagar. Here also Rustom beats Mohenjo Daro in these centers in terms of occupancy. While Hrithik periodic drama received fantastic response in the morning shows in BIG Cinemas: Runwal, Mulund and Anand Cinema: Thane where the occupancy recorded 75-80% while other targeting centers like Maxus Cinemas: Saki Naka, K.T. Vision Multiplex: Vasai (W) and Bharat Cineplex: Kurla where the gathering recorded 50-55%.
Jaipur: The pink city opened favorable for both the films and targeting big or most visited multiplexes out there. Both films are running on similar occupancy in theaters like World Trade Park, Jaipur, Cinepolis: Triton Mega Mall, Jaipur, Raj Mandir Cinema, Bhagwan Das Road and Kohinoor Cinema: Sanganer. The morning occupancy in these centers recorded 60-65% by both the biggies and the matinee shows are little bit up for Rustom as the film riding high on good word of mouth.
Other Circuits: The other remaining zones like UP, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana are targeting sectors for the films. Both stars has good fan following but positive word of mouth is working in these centers.
Rustom is a crime-mystery film, based on real life incident of naval officer KM Nanavati. The movie deals with a true story of love, passion, murder, morality and justice that shook the nation. While Mohenjo Daro tells about a young orphan (played by Hrithik), who falls in love with a princess (played by Pooja).
