In your honest opinion, who/what is this show about post-leap? - Page 11

Hey nice thread, I voted for nothing option 😛

Although I don't watch the show any longer but still I think it is one of the ok kinda shows on Indian TV right now where Bahu has to prove her mettle by making 100 puris in one day or Bahu is a Nagin n all that crap. 😆 Yes compared to that this looks better n this has been the case with YHM after it came down to 7.30 slot. I truly enjoyed 11pm YHM coz it had some semblance to Logic 😛. After that it has been assurance Sagas n surrogacy crap n other nonsense which was hard to digest for 11pm urban mature audience. So CVS always knew which audience they r catering to.

This new YHM is a mix of
-TRP audience who love to watch Bahu struggling n winning over Evil hence we get Sautan wars,
- Ishra fandom so we get Romance
- some loyal 11pm still watch so sometimes we get some logical storyline or conclusion to some tracks.

In the end makers r targeting TRPs which generate income over substance. So almost 80% of show is TRP centric n rest 10-10% is for the other audience to keep them hooked. N besides all this leads act really well which makes the shitty storyline a bit relatable.

Currently m watching Kuch Rang Pyar k aise bhi which has the same storyline of Saas Vs Bahu but presented in a different way n which urban audience prefer (or audience who like subtlety over melodrama). N ya this show gets one f d worst TRP 😆 Apart from this I watch Tarak Mehta, Kapil Show n some reality TV singing n dancing n shall watch 24 series. All this depends on if I get time off my hectic schedule 😛

Well on a serious note I feel actors have lost interest and have moved on and occasionally perform well unlike recent past so it is time we moved on too

I started to watch for story and ruhi and now watch just as bit of time pass with no serious hope or connection

Generally shows get destroyed after 100 episodes so we should be happy that yhm despite being ekta kapoor show was excellent for 300 -400 episodes

Well honestly I feel Ishra r a dysfunctional couple (they not were in 11 pm slot), post that they behave like one where they will not talk about their own priorities but move around to solve all family issues at the drop of an hat n even in that Ishita will work her way n Raman will apply his brain differently never they come together as a unit. Simple things as after Ishita's miscarriage Raman did not feel the need to talk about what next shud we go for surrogacy etc etc n Ishita on the other hand was hiding her pain, she thinks she shud not look vulnerable in front f him coz that will break him. But if u can't share ur pain with ur spouse or if u can't talk abt imp things like surrogacy what is the use f being in a marriage? N this is just one track almost every track it has been same n that's the reason I cannot relate to this show.

I might become a hypocrite n watch a Nagin show or Dukhiyari Bahu show just for some good laugh coz I know what it offers it with YHM it gets difficult coz Cvs go for total Mind f**k 😆

Your point about communication is bang on.

One track they talked - and it was the Shanaya track and look where it lead us.

I've been so tempted to watch Naagin for a good laugh but missed the boat on season 1...may join you and try it again 😆

I agree - we were lucky that we had 300 fully decent episodes and then another 100-150 stupid but tolerable ones which definitely isn't the case for most BT shows
