In past few episodes, we have seen that Dev is feeling guilty for not spending time with Neha and thinks that somehow this happened because of his love towards sona. In today's episode also, Ishwari asked Dev to spend some time with her. At that point, Dev seemed lost. So, is it possible that Dev will again blame himself and his love for not spending time with his Ma. Right now that thought might not be too strong in his mind but in future due to certain circumstances, this thought gets too strong in his mind. And that will be the reason of his separation with Sona.
From Ishwari's behavior, it seems that she just wants to spend some time in a day with her son which is right only. She also wants to know all the important happenings in her son's life. She will be disappointed when she will get to know that Dev has hidden such an important thing from her (though I am not saying Dev is wrong in hiding this. No one tells their parents within a month of relationship). So, she will be hurt and she will wait for the day when dev will come and tell her himself. Till then she might distance herself from dev. Dev will think this all happened because he is not able to focus on his ma because of his love life and hence get separated from sona.
Even in initial promo, sona was saying at least talk once to Ma.
I think it is possible that separation will happen because of miscommunication between dev and ishwari and not because of Ishwari's insecurities.
