How can a mother....

I always wonder, how can a mother be so mean to her own children? Not once, not twice .. all the time Durga thinks nothing but how she can seperate her sons from Daughters-in-law. How long does it take a husband to realize this and take some action. I guess it is kind of demeaning a mother..

yea i kno...i hate how she always tries to ruin things and is never happy...wonder what this new thing is that is going to break veer and soni??

Many Indian mothers-in-law do that...they try to separate son from bahu.
The main reason is jealousy and possessiveness...they cant bear it that this new girl in son's life i.e. the bahu is taking all sonny boy's affection from her...she thinks shes losing her son to her bahu....

Its very very common...and very obvious psychology!

I could not agree with you more!! Durga's need to possess & control every element in her sons' lives is sick upon sick & it's definitely not the 1st or 2nd time that she has done things like this, because control is everything to Durga & in her presence there is no true peace. What is almost worse is the people around her keep enabling her to do this: Her husband, Jyoti, Veer, Jeet, Lovely, Raji, Mahi & Soni all of them let her keep doing the same dirty tricks & deeds. Only 1 time did Veer & her husband stand up to her when the late Mr. Maholtra brought back the baby after the fake kidnapping. You would think that her family would've put a stop to her mess after the mess she started at Veer's wedding to Raji- but oh well there's got to be a way to skin that snake called Durga.

well it's a bitter truth but people like that still exist in our society
