Tbf, Maradona and Pele were ridiculously brilliant players and better than Messi, especially Pele.

Although I agree football is a team game, and Messi should not be blamed for Argentina's failure as individually he has been very good.

I grew up watching Messi and that bias for him will be always there. I respect Pele and Maradonna but Messi is from another planet as they say. I wish these two legends would understand that criticizing Messi only shows them at bad light and nothing else, messi's records and achievements are for real and if one cannot appreciate it why criticize it esp when they themselves were great legends too.

The truth is that Messi is compared to Maradonna and Pele so if he's not good like them then at least he's close to that brilliance and magic which they had. Once Leo Messi had said that the fact that I'm compared to them is everything for me, I would never imagine to beat them, and I agree.

Thug I just hope he comes back , without him even Maradonna and pele won't have anything to say anymore :(

Ohhh Ronaldinho is <3 the fact that my most favorite players Leo messi and Ronaldinho played together once upon a time is enough for me to as a football fan. I love Zidane and David villa, Zidane's energy is unmatchable.

You know Maradonna also had a problem with Messi winning the golden ball in 2014WC. I don't understand the hate messi gets from his own people, it's too shocking in a way.

There's a video in YouTube where they merged Maradonna and Messi's dribbling and they were exactly same in their manner of tackling the defenders . Leo probably is the only player who was compared to Maradonna at the age of 17.

Brazilian Ronaldo is class, somebody like him won't come for Brazil anymore . I love kaka too, infact that old Brazil team was such a gem

Zidane was grace personified, I could watch just juggle the ball whole day😆, Ronaldinho is just beauty. R9 was phenomenal. than there were Rivaldo and the Romario. All ridiculously talented players, Kaka while very good was not even near these legends. Alas though R9, Romario and R10 loved parties more than football. While Rivaldo was too timid.

Maradona himself is craving to see Arg win a WC...seen him cheering the team right from 2006...he was the one who said that Messi might go on to become one of the all time greats when he was just 19 debuting in WC 2006...
