"Come here Bharat, sit next to me," said Kraanti excitedly, seeing her Bharat having come to her.

Bharat looked at Kraanti irritatedly and was about to walk out, when Maanvi placed her hand on his shoulder and stopped him.

"Please Bharat, just listen to what she wants to tell you," Maanvi whispered in his ear.

Bharat looked at her with the really' expression. Maanvi made a pleading face, seeing which Bharat was forced to turn around and sit next to Kraanti slowly.

Kraanti smiled a little and looked at him. Bharat still looked down, not wanting to look at her.

"Bharat, I know you are angry with me. And you have a reason also. But trust me.."

"Trust you?" Bharat interjected still looking down in a cold tone.

Kraanti understood the task of getting Bharat to forgive her was going to be harder.

"I know Bharat, Everyone word of mine will hurt you know. But I tell you, I have realised my mistake. I repent my deeds."

"Do you really?" Bharat said as he looked up.

"Yes Bharat. I do."

Bharat laughed, to the amusement of both Kraanti and Maanvi.

"So then tell me," he said,"Why did you do all of this in the first place?"

Kraanti remained silent for sometime.

"Bharat," she replied after sometime,"I did all the for your and Shatrughans betterment."

"You still think this could have led to our betterment." He replied sternly.

Kraanti looked confused and said,

"Why yes, I thought so."

Bharat sighed and got up. He looked at Maanvi and said,

"Maanvi, I can't sit here anymore."

Kraanti was shocked to hear this and stood up.

"Please Bharat, dont go. Listen to what I have to say atleast."

Bharat turned around swiftly and replied angrily,

"What else do you have to say now?!"

Kraanti went to touch him, but he moved back. She stopped and said,

"Ok. Listen, I have realised that whatever I have done is not right for our family. But now I can't break the law. My name is already doing rounds in the papers, so I can't even go out in the public. Bharat, I beg forgiveness from you, please."

"I will never forgive you? And anyway, why have you come to me? You should beg forgiveness from everyone else in this house first. If they forgive yo only then I can think of forgiving you."

"I will Bharat," she said a little happily, hearing that Bharat was actually agreeing to forgive her. "I will go to each and every one of this house and beg forgiveness. "

"But tell me," said Bharat his arms folded,"How will you beg forgiveness from Ram Bhaiyya, Siya Bhabi , Lakshman and Urmila? Or do you not consider them a part of this house anymore?"

Kraanti stood stupefied. She didnt have an answer to the question.

"Tell me?" asked Bharat sarcastically.

Kraanti took a deep breath.

"However I have to, I will beg forgiveness from them."

"Very well," Bharat replied. As he was about to walk out, his eye fell on the untouched food, given to Kraanti by Maanvi.

"Why didnt you have dinner yet Maa?" asked Maanvi looking away.

Kraanti smiled, seeing Bharat looking at her.

"I will eat only when Bharat eats." she said.

"I have eaten." Bharat said and walked out.

Maanvi went up to her and filling her a glass of water said,

"Man, have the food. He and Shatrughan have eaten."

Kraanti touched the plate and smiled. Atleast she was able to get Bharat to come to her.

"You should have gone there, Shatrughan. Everyone was there." said Shruti sitting next to him on the bed of their room.

Shatrughan sighed. "I know. But honestly, I didnt have the guts. The relations around are so tied up, so twisted that a small thing gone wrong can disrupt everything. "

Shruti held his hand and said,

"Shatrughan, what will we tell Dad when we wakes up? The doctors are keeping him on sleeping pills but not for long. He keeps asking me about them and all I can say is they've gone on a tour and stuff. But after sometime even he won't believe that."

"Shruti," Shatrughan said after sometime,"That is what Bharat bhaiyya has ordered me to tell Dad till he has recovered completely. Even I dont know what to do." Saying so, he leaned back against the head rest of the bed. The youngest of the family, the one who never had to take any major responsibility, was now burdened.

"And could you convince Bharat Bhaiyya?" asked Shruti.

"No. He is so stubborn. I told him to go to the MD cabinet today and told him he needn't sit on the main chair, he can sit on another chair, but he has to be there. The MD room cannot be empty. But no, he said he will not enter that room again because he feels its something given to him by cheating. And you know, when something is given to you illegally, you really dont enjoy that position or power. Here its not illegal, but some people in the office still keep reminding of that. "

There was a moment of silence.

"Shatrughan."

"Yes?"

Shruti clasped his and tighter.

"Shatrughan, amidst all that is happening here, I dont want you to fall weak. I know and I understand, its a big hurdle we are going through. There, Di and the others might be acting very happy but deep down in their hearts I know they are longing to meet us. So, I want you to never fall down and always remember that I am beside you. With you."

Shatrughan looked at Shruti and sat upright.

"Shruti, you are the only reason I am standing tall still. Or else I would have mixed with the ground by now. Thank you for being there."

Shruti slept on his chest and said,

"I will always be. Now get some sleep. Goodnight.."

"Goodni..."

Suddenly they heard a voice from Dashraths room,

"RAM!!!!!!!!"

Shatrughan and Shruti looked at each other and ran to his room. Bharat and Maanvi heard the same and came running.

"GOOD MORNING!!" said Lakshman to Urmila in their room. Urmila was still drowsy. She looked at the clock. 7 am.

"Why did you wake me up so early?" she asked a bit irritated.

"Look outside."

Lakshman got into his slippers and stood at the balcony in their room. Urmila went behind him, and seeing the sight she was brought out of her sleepy trance.

"WOW!" She exclaimed, seeing the misty mountains and the first streak of light fall on them and the river down. The water shimmered, and was so clear they could almost see through it.

"You remember, when we were coming here, Indraneil told us that our house gets the first of the streaks of light? I didnt think though it would be so pretty." said Lakshman.

"Indeed. It feels like a bliss to live here."

"Good morning guys."

Lakshman and Urmila turned to see Siya and Ram standing at the door of their room, smiling and in running suits.

"Morning Bhaiyya and Bhabi. Where are you going in running suits so early in the morning?" Lakshman asked.

"Look down and see who is there." said Siya and walked towards them in the balcony.

Urmila and Lakshman saw no one, until SIya came and pointed someone out to them, running beside the river path, the plain area.

The man running stopped and looked up. He raised his hand and yelled,

"Good Morning Lakshman Beta ! Come for running here, its very nice."

"Oh my God dont tell me thats Jaydev Kaka!" exclaimed Lakshman as urmila laughed.

"He is. Who will say this man is a senior citizen?" replied Siya. "Come with us Lakshman and Urmila, we are going fro jogging."

Urmila ran to get her suit while Lakshman went and sat back on his bed.

"There is no way I am going there in that freezing cold temperature and jogging!" he said.

"You will like it Lakshman! Come on." said Ram.

Urmila came back after wearing her suit. "I am ready. " She looked at lakshman. "Aren't you going?"

"No."

Urmila went and stood beside Siya and Ram.

"Ok then. Di, leave him. He's just scared. "

Lakshman got up.

"Hey, Im not scared. I just dont want to fall ill."

"So you are scared of falling ill right?"

Lakshman wore his running shoes which were kept in his room itself.

"I am also ready," he said in fake anger.

"Ok then," Urmila said sarcastically. "We are going down, you come."

Siya and Ram walked out. Urmila turned but before leaving said in a mocking tone,

"Ill be waiting!"

Lakshman went to catch her but Urmila went out. Lakshman stood there laughing and changed into his suit.

"God knows how this Urmila makes me fall prey to her command every time," he thought.
