Sorry for being late!

"NO!!!! NO!!!! HE CANT!!!" yelled Urmila as she stepped back slowly and hit one of the glass tables, toppling it over. Siya gasped and clutched Ram's arm tightly. She saw her sister Urmila standing there, shaking and clueless. She ran to her and took Urmila in her arms. She said to her, sobbing,"Don't Worry Urmila. Nothing will happen to him. We all are with you. God is with you." She moved away from Siya, leaving Siya shocked. Urmila looked down and with the same helpless face said,"All because of me. I did this. I scolded him in the morning, I left him alone. I .. I am responsible for his accident." She couldn't control herself any longer and burst out crying,"All because of me! If only... If only I hadn't left him alone... if something happens to him.. I .. I will .." Siya held her by the shoulders tightly and said,"Urmila, look at me. Nothing happened because of you. Nothing WILL happen to him. Have faith in your love." Urmila looked up at her as she said the word LOVE'. She didnt realise till then how much she loved him. Yes, she knew she did love Lakshman, but that her love for him had crossed boundaries of any sort dawned on her then. Siya looked at Ram, who was crying heavily with his face hidden in his palms. Siya was in a huge dilemma. She herself couldn't cry, for two of her life's treasures were broken now. I have to stay strong,' she thought. She made Urmila sit and walked to Ram and took his wet hands in hers. Till then. she controlled herself, but on seeing Ram cry, tears few down her cheeks. "Please, dont cry. Its not your fault. Nothing will happen to him." she said. "No. Its all my fault. Had I forced him to come with me, he wouldn't have gone out. And the accident.." He cried again. Siya wiped his tears with her loving hands. He looked at her and said,"Siya, will God forgive me for what I have done? Its all my fault, clearly. I dont know what to do Siya, I really dont." Siya gulped in her tears. She remembered the fact that she had to be strong now. She said,"You know where Lakshman is admitted right? Lets go there, and arrange for everything for him. Arrange the best treatment for him. And stand strong for him. Lakshman wouldn't want his Ram bhaiyya to be upset like this." The elders came down by then, hearing the news. Sumitra and Kraanti wept and Dashrath sat quietly alone, tensed and sobbing. Mandira looked around, least concerned about what happened. Kraanti and Sumitra walked up to Ram and Siya, and Sumitra said,"Ram, Lakshman is my dearest. Please, please do something. Save him." Ram looked at his aunt's plight and her light of hope in him made him stronger. He placed his hands on Sumitras and said,"Masi, I will give my life, but I will bring Lakshman back, fit and fine." Ram called for Bharat and Shatrughan and walked out quickly to reach to Lakshman, with the sisters emotionally drowned following them behind.

"Di, Had I not left him there, He would not have stormed out," said Urmila as she sat next to Siya in the car. Maanvi had stayed back with the elders at home, for their moral support and to update them with Lakshmans condition. Shruti, who sat next to Urmila, said,"Di, It all happened because of that Mandira Aunty. Lakshman bhaiyya was angry because of her, and that made him go out." "Shruti, that may be true, but instead of thinking about that, think how we can stand with the others now. Everyone needs moral help now."said Siya. She tried to change the bad thoughts that Urmila was having then. After a few minutes, they reached the huge hospital in which Lakshman had been admitted by his bodyguards, who followed him behind his car. Ram, Bharat and Shatrughan rushed towards the reception avoiding the press that had gathered there. The girls followed behind. In front of them his car was taken away. The hood and front grills had been crushed, and the windshield cracked. Shruti looked at the terrible situation of the car and said,"Di, he has had a very big accident. Will he be okay?" "Ofcourse he will!!" yelled Urmila at Shruti. "Nothing will happen to him. I will not let anything happen." she continued. Shruti looked down apologetically. Siya said,"Yes, but now lets move in. We have to be with him." All of them went to the topmost floor of the hospital wherein he had been admitted to the best operation theatre there, and under special care. All of them waited outside. Bharat sobbed on Ram's shoulder and said,"Bhaiyya, I should have stopped him. I couldn't help you. Sorry." Ram said,"No Bharat its not your fault. We both should have tried. Lakshman is just so adamant that.." As he was about to complete a doctor came out from the theatre. He walked up to Ram and said,"Mr. Suryanvanshi, Mr. Lakshman is all right. Yes, he faced a very big accident in his car from the front, which has injured his head and shoulders, but he is recovering slowly." All of them looked at each other and breathed a sigh of relief. Siya looked upwards and thanked God for answering her prayers. The doctor continued,"But Mr. Suryavanshi, we find this to be a case of deliberacy. Someone has deliberately caused the mishap. I talked with the police present there and they too said the same thing. The accident took place as if a car had banged Mr. Lakshmans car with accurate aim." Ram looked confused and asked,"But why do you say so?"

"Sir, we have seen many car accidents before. But this one is different. Mr. Lakshmans car's windscreen is cracked and shattered slightly. And there are no signs of blood on the steering too. So that leaves only one possibility. That someone drove in such a way that the car faced Mr. Lakshmans car and injured him in such a way that only can be manually done." Siya started sweating and wiped her forehead. Done deliberately? Was the Sir' thing related to this? Did he do any harm to Lakshman? She looked at the operation theatre's door and gulped. The doctor said,"Anyways, Mr. Suryavanshi, just to see him, we can allow only one family member to go and meet him. So who will go?" "I will!" yelled Urmila. Everyone around looked at her, hearing her scream. The doctor looked at Ram, who nodded. The doctor told her to come and Urmila walked behind him quickly.

"Ma'am, I am here, if any problem is there, call me." said the doctor as he was walking out of the ICU, in which Lakshman had been shifted to.

"Yes, sure," she said and the door closed, leaving only her and her Lakshman behind.

He lay subconscious, silent, unlike his natural behaviour, with a calm breath. He had a dislocated shoulder and a minor injury on the head. Urmila wiped her tears and placed her trembling hands on his hands. A tear fell from her eyes. The room was silent, except for the continuous beeping of the heart rate monitor. Urmila rubbed her hands over his and said,"You know, when that Shipra called you, I was really angry. I am not jealous, I am possessive. I dont want anyone to look at you the way I do. Even when I teased you at home, I know the moment was wrong, and you were upset, but I thought it would cheer you up. But no, you had to scold me. I went away, thinking you would come to melt my anger, but when you didnt, I felt something was wrong. Even in the house, when all were present, and you werent, I thought maybe you went up to your room. But I didnt find you there. And when Ram Bhaiyya said you had an accident, my heart stopped beating. I felt a piercing pain. As if someone was strangling me to death. Then I realised, how much I love you. When you move away even for a moment, a feel alone, incomplete. And when Shruti said negative things, I shouted on her too. See what you made me do... " She looked at with with teary red eyes. "Wake up please... I want to tell you the rest..." She started crying heavily. She had controlled a lot, but after all, she was a girl whose universe rested in his well being. She sobbed and said,"Lakshman, I love you. I love you a lot please wake up. Please. For me. Okay not for me, for Ram Bhaiyya atleast. Please." Suddenly, her hand tickled. She looked at her hand which was in hands, and saw his fingers slowly twitching. She looked at his face and saw his eyes moving and forcefully moving against the will of nature. He was waking up. "yes, open your eyes. You can do it!" Lakshman heard these words and felt the fire power in him rise again. He opened his eyes and looked around, and the first thing he saw was her face. Her smiling, wet and tired face. She looked up and thanked God and cupped his face in her hands lightly. His eyes had the same spark, just a little wet. "I am sorry," he said. Urmila cried lightly. She said,"You better be. You dont know what has gone over all of us. And me specially. But, I am sorry too." Lakshman smiled.

L: You dont have to be. It was my fault that I went driving around like anything. I was so fumed that.

U: You and your anger. (Clasping his hand) Promise me you will never do any such stupid thing again.

L: I won't.

U: Promise.

L: Yes.

U: By the way, did you hear what I was saying sitting next to you?

L: Some what?

U: What did you hear?

L: That you love me.

U(blushing): I love you.

L: (sighing) I was waiting to hear these for such a long time.

U: But I have said it before.

L: But not like this. Today it felt like you truly love me.

U: So you think I didnt before?

L : Uff, you started here too.

Urmila laughed and kissed his hand lightly. Lakshman asked her to come to him and placed a kiss on her forehead. She called the doctor and told him and Lakshman regained sense, to which the doctor said," He is a fighter. He will be released in a few days. No worries." Urmila said,"I will stay here only with you." Lakshman replied,"No Urmila. Go home. The doctors are keeping me well. "

U: I know that, but still.

L: Keep visiting me, that'll be fine. The family needs you. You should be with them.

U: Really, you are ideal. Even here you are thinking about the family. You're great.

L: You're greater.

Urmila laughed and kissed him again and went out.

As she came out, everyone jumped on her with loads of questions. She said,"Please, calm down. Ill tell you." Everyone sat on the chairs in the corridor and she began,"He is fine. Hurt, but recovering well. He regained sense. The doctors said you can meet him after a few hours. " Everyone smiled and hugged each other. Siya hugged Urmila and said,"See, I told you everything will be fine." Urmila replied,"You were right Di." Shruti called for Urmila and she moved away. Siya turned and saw Ram behind her. Ram, teary eyes, hugged her tightly and said,"Siya, had you not been there today, I would never had been able to handle everything. You are my support, my motivation. Thank you for being there whenever I need you." Siya replied,"I can never see you sad, and to stop that from happening I can do anything." Ram kissed her on the head and said,"You just have to be with me, thats it." She broke the hug and said,"And that is what I intend to do." They smiled. The doctor called for Ram and he walked away to him. Siya stood looking at the smiling faces, when her phone rang. She gulped and saw the name. Unknown. She took the call and brought the phone up to her ear slowly. The same dark voice said,"So, he is alive right? Ofcourse he is. We didnt plan to kill him this time anyways. But the next time, we will. Ram didnt tell you anything. Ask others if they know. Your time is running out Siya. This time it was Rams dearest Lakshman. The next time it will be your dearest Ram." The phone cut and left the beeps. Siya sat on the chair in the corridor and switched her phone off. She looked Ram and thought,"So it was them, again. Here too. This is getting serious. I need to tell someone. Someone."
