Vulcan "Marriage" Trivia

Bess, I think it's "Vulcan challenge" time. 😉 Sorry Bess, not yet...next chapter!!

First thoughts.....Mind meld, Telepathy; Muhl-olau'es and Sut (Euphoria and Ache)

My favorites:
- "You're still a coward"...go Arnav, rile her up.😃
- "You are so hot", "I was talking about your body temperature, it's relative heat when compared to mine", she said seriously...breaking into helpless laughter the very next moment. 😛
Arnav joined her too...their mingled voices drowned by music and when they finally sobered and looked at each other, the awareness that crackled between them was like a living force.
- "...cool pearl dropping on hot sand..."..my heart is going boom boody-boom.

- Mind meld letter, a sad one, but bonded forever.

Khushi missed her father and one of her dreams was to experience his humanness, his ways, albeit hers as well and she did so with Arnav who she very much is attracted to, but she needed to break away before she found herself fully assimilated in that human euphoria and cause Arnav grief later.
Khushi is conflicted, her Vulcan heritage is her home and she has other dreams as well.

Vulcans do have emotions, but mostly live by reason and logic with no interference from emotion. Khushi is half human and for her the struggle to suppress her emotions is a huge task. She does not have a close human mentor to guide her. Arnav was the closest, but she did not want to burden him.
Let's not forget, Khushi and Arnav were Cadets at Starfleet Academy (College) and both had different visions at the time.
A rank of Admiral and being a Captain of a Starship is no easy achievement and is full of sacrifices.
Becoming Chief of Field Operations and an eminent reconstruction archeologist to rebuild Earth 1.0 is equally focused.
They are older, focused and hold no grudges. They formed a special bond on that special night, telepathic mind meld..their names are forever linked. 😛 ❤️

I love this matter-of-fact, self-controlled, outwardly cold but compassionate Khushi who baffles Arnav.
I love this happy-go-lucky, sanki, charming, indulgent Arnav who sings and makes Khushi laugh.

In the Vulcan world it is referred to as a "Mind Meld". A touch technique that allows a Vulcan to merge his or her mind with the essence of another's mind purely by using specialized contact fingertip touch-points. It allows the exchange of thoughts, thus in essence allowing the participants to become one mind. Most Vulcans who performed the meld touched the other participant in different manners, reciting varying formulas, helping to concentrate on the task, leaving mere physical contact being the ultimate prerequisite to initiate the meld.

Those Academy days!! What a beautiful time and memory of falling in love. A heartbreak, most painful and full of despair, but it had to be and I am not as bothered by it as much any more. The BCI letter; kinda cold, but in a way it is to help Arnav move on and away from her.

The Academy years are for growth in their individual paths, personal and professional, and if they are meant to be, they will need to travel thru deep times and space to arrive at their destination.
They are high achievers, deep emotions are embedded in their genealogy, Arnav all human and Khushi part human, but she carries in her heart the dreams and desires of her father.
Khushi's Vulcan family most likely distanced her from her human family, in person and theory, but honest caring and love is blind to all prejudices. A hug is all you need. No tears.
The song Arnav sang, a painful rendition of his heart, but I saw a hope and a fight to not give up.
The last song will be theirs.

Jen, I absolutely loved this chapter, it is full of sunshine, a cloud with a huge silver lining and an embrace of a warm loving home(s) and family(..ies) coming up.

Jenny, a starry, explosive chapter!! The myriad emotions roiling in the tender hearts of young lovers Arnav and Khushi have been articulated flawlessly. ❤️ 🤗

Arnav, Star Fleet Academy's handsome jock, adored and idolized by the Academy's female populace is smitten with the striking, half Vulcan Khushi Gupta. He knows in his heart that she is the 'one' for him and is determined to romance 'his' conflicted, hesitant Khushi, making her fall deeply and madly in love with him, to be his forever.

Khushi is haunted by memories of a deadbeat human father; the miserable alliance of her Vulcan mother and human father and the heartbreaking aftereffects. This makes her hesitant and nervous about giving her nascent attraction and hypnotic pull towards Arnav a fair chance. But her 'fist-sized organ' pumping mud colored blood to her brain finally triumphs, making her accede to her feelings for Arnav and go with the flow.

What follows are blissful, dreamy dates, long romantic rides on his HM, with both accepting their sizzling attraction and ultimately taking their relationship to the next level. ❤️ 😳

Khushi realizing she is getting in too deep and afraid of hurting Arnav (she already has), decides to end their perfervid relationship, leaving behind a broken-hearted, shattered Arnav.

Jenny, what stood out for me in this chapter is the meticulous detailing of people, places and events. You have effortlessly captured the essence of young love, the erratic thrumming of hearts in the throes of love, crushing heartbreak and the 'never say die' spirit. 👏

The woebegone image of a sozzled, teary, lovelorn Arnav singing his heart out is imprinted on my mind. I hope that this heartrending performance will compel Khushi to give love another chance!! I don't think she has a fiance; seems more like a ruse to discourage a steadfast Arnav.

Jenny, this chapter for me has been a slideshow of stunning, vibrant visuals gliding seamlessly before my enamored, unblinking eyes...Sheer brilliance!! ❤️ 🤗
