It was her brother swayum's 23rd birthday, her father had thrown her huge party to celebrate it. Her brother had come to delhi along with their mother, to celebrate his birthday. All were busy in their own things and she was sitting alone in her room, getting bore.
Her mother and father were busy in looking after the preparation of the grand celebration, and what hurt her more was, her mother didn't even came to meet her once. They were meeting after years, she had expected some affection from her mother. But looks like she doesn't even remember she has a daughter named taani.
She was tossing on her bed, she didn't had any work to do nor she wanted to go to her family members and burden them with her presence.
"Reyaansh." His thought crossed her mind, its been two weeks to their ice-cream treat and since then, they had talk to each other on phone calls few times. She quickly took out his visiting card and dialed his number from the land-line she had in her room.
"Hello, Reyaansh."
"Hello, Taani. How are you?"
"I'm not good. I'm getting bore here-" Taani pouted as she told him.
"So, wanna go out? This time pizza?" She grinned when she heard his reply.
"Cool. I'll meet you outside my house. Come soon."
"Sure, doll." Taani giggled when she heard the nickname he had kept for her. They ended the call. Taani ran to her closet and took out a dress and got ready. Then she sneaked out of the house, not that anyone would have cared about her absence or presence.

Taani and Rey were enjoying their pizzas in pizza hut.
"Are you also coming in tonight's party?" Taani asked him, suddenly. Hoping for a positive reply from him, she will get a company in party.
"Do you want me to come?" He questioned her back, looking into her eyes.
"Off-course. I'll get a company there, else I'll just have to stand in a corner." She told him. Rey shook his head seeing her cute pout. In past two weeks, he had got to know many things about her. And one of them is, her reserved nature.
"Though i wasn't coming, but for you, I'll come." Rey answered, making her smile.
"Thank you." Taani mumbled as she munched her pizza happily. They finished their pizzas and come out of the shop. They sat in his car and he drove away from there.
"Taani, i have a small work at my office, will you come with me or you want me to drop you home?" Rey asked her, taani chose the first one. Going back home was the last thing on her mind, she was enjoying outside with him.
"I'll come with you. Its just 2 pm, and i'll get bore at home."
Rey smiled softly when he heard her reply and changed the route to his office.
"Reyaansh, do you know my brother?" Taani asked her, feeling little insecure that he might also leave her alone when he will met her brother.
"No. But your father speak alot about him."
"Will you forget me when you will become friends with him?"
Rey look at her, not understanding why she was talking like this. He had always noticed, she hide something behind her smile. But he never asked her, he wanted her to share it with him on her own.
"Well i have no interest in becoming friends with your brother. I'm happy with a cute friend like you." Rey answered her honestly, making her smile widely. Someone chose her over her brother, she was happy. She was truly happy knowing there is someone in her life who won't leave her for her brother.
