Where exactly in this interview has Deepika said Sonam is here due to her connections ? Did she even mention Sonam ?
She was well wihtin her rights to defend herself and she did not say anything negative about Sonam. Yes she said positive stuff about herself do you blame her for that?

Everything is implied by journlists who asked a leading question in the first place and we have people here commenting/questioning on her background - which is perfectly fine in my view.
What should she have said ? No comments would have been perfect but then she would have been called an ice queen.

She was spotted at school and they offered her the assignment. When she accepted of course father's name cannot be omitted. She is a stunner so she got the offer.

Sonam worked with SLB and Ranbir too and there are several other assistants. But SLB only saw potential in star kids. Movie was always advertised as launch of two star kids, Rishi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor's daughter.

It is either a stunner or a star kid who makes a quick entry to film world.

Then why was the movie promoted as launch vehicle of two star kids Rishi Kapoor'son and Anil Kapoor's daughter?

I am sure Tusshar and Esha Deol were so talented that Boney Kapoor chose to launch Esha and Tusshar had a big debut too. Being a star kid had nothing to do with it right? 😆

I am sure every famous sportsman's daughter or son is going to make debut soon because they are talented and stunning.

Exactly at highlighted sentence. Deepika had every right to defend herself. She is always poised and shy. I have never heard her shooting her mouth off but she rightly defended herself without taking any names. Even when journo prompted her she didn't take anybody's name. Now that is classy.

After reading the comments here I am glad that Deepika retaliated by saying that she bagged the role on her own not because of any film connection. She did modeling and Farah saw and chose her. Sonam made the debut as Anil Kapoor's daughter. Class just doesn't come from the dresses one wear. One should take the competition in the right spirit.

I was referring to her comments about Sonam... I'm neither a Sonam fan nor a Deepika hater... but the thing is Sonam's comments were rather neutral... whereas Deepika actually offended Sonam by saying that it's cuz of her family. This is quite harsh. Sonam assissted Sanjay Leela and he chose her just Farah chose Deepika while modelling. And Deepika doesn't need to react so hurtfully towards Sonam's comments that it's not her first film cuz it's only the truth.

Who asked to omit? My reply was to those who mentioned Deepika father's connection. No one can omit parentage. So it is applicable to both.😆

Plus just pay attention to ur future films ..just make sure u don't end up like Lagaan girl, or Amisha patel or Swadesh girl..after all they all had great debuts, but do u see them anywhere now?? 🤢

Did she take Sonam's name? The video is posted and in that Deepika has not mentioned any names. She was simply retaliating to a comment Sonam made taking her name. Now..now she has the right to defend herself and the classy part is even while defending herself she didn't take any names.

If what Sonam said is the truth then what Deepika said in her defense is a truth too. Why just pick on her?

Where's class? She was talking about Sonam... watch the interview again... both Sonam and Deepika were clearly referring to each other.

You dun always have to take names... cuz people can read between the lines!

Oh😆 that's why every actor and director is after Deepika to sign her and already have so many big banner films.
