Unfortunately that's the truth and I am talking generally here. Just a few days back was watching all those rapid fire segments of various celebs on Kofee with Karan and when it came to ranking current lot actors SSR was at the bottom for all the celebs, whereas the list wld hv less talented but 'connected' actors. Same with Ayushman.

Coming specifically to Fawad, I wld say he has indeed be lucky, coz if not from BW celebs, he did get noticed by some the right ppl, undoubtedly coz of his talent and deservedly so.

Agree with the TM in general...

Specifically about K&S, the pre-release screening was done with most friends and family of the cast and crew attending those screenings so they are bound to praise their friends and family. They did praise the movie overall and most of them said that "Everyone" has been brilliant in the movie...

Come movie release, the critics and junta were able to pick the favorites and the best performers... I do not think I need to put their names there. But none of the people who attended the previews (except maybe 1) singled out any of the actors and praised.. which they should have done.

That is what Komal Nahta said yesterday on his show. How important was the casting of Fawad for that character? If he had not done justice to it, it would have fallen flat.

He brought dignity to such a complex character and made us feel bad for him.

I general it does happen I agree but in case of K & S the first thing I read was Fawad is brilliant. I had seen lot of celeb tweets praising Fawad. Sad I do not have any snapshots nor do I remember their names.

But yes these days praising every movie which gives you a special premier has become a trend.

Whoever said about Ranveer's PR , Ranveer was fabulous in BM and that is why he got praised and it was no PR actiivty.

Yes thats for sure that the dignity and maturity the actor brought for that nuanced performance, made it more acceotable. Otherwise the family audience would have rejected the film. I know in my city, many elderly people came to watch the film with their family members. Thats a huge plus.

@hajmola, I was not being hesitant about Fawad getting credited for the success. But solely crediting him is going to bring more oh he is so overrated and he has only fangirls exist on IF cooments which I am tired of reading. So my comments was in that context. Not to discredit Fawad or his achievements. No offence meant.
