Quiz Karan Singh Grover on steady date Bipasha Basu, heating up social media timelines with pictures of their frequent getaways, and the 34-year-old actor guffaws, "Why are we tip-toeing on glass? You can ask me whatever you like, people usually do, and I try to be as honest as I can."

Encouraged, we wonder if he's popped the question and he retorts, "Whatever there is between Bipasha and me, I want to be able to say it when I'm ready. Give me time. With my upcoming films, my life's been under a Domino effect."

KSG has been making headlines thanks to his happening personal life. He's been with Bipasha for a year, documenting their courtship with selfies in matching pyjama and pull-ups in the gym.

"If I had my way, I wouldn't be sharing my personal life online. I'm a private person. At home, I don't wander around shirtless, flexing my muscles. I roam around unshaven, with my hair dishevelled. Unfortunately, people perceive you differently. It's okay, they're free to speculate," he shrugs.

For Karan his "ideal zone" is his fitness studio, where he practices everything from Parkour and Pilates to Ashtanga Yoga and weight training. He is a fitness addict.

Today, he insists, he's in a "happy and satisfied place", without any regrets about anything.

"When I look back, I find myself connecting the dots and realising why things turned out the way they did. Even if I had done things differently, what happened was meant to be," he says, admitting that he's speaking more sense than he usually does. "It's because of the hour-long headstand I just did or my conversation with my simple, wise old cow of a mother."

The actor is planning to pursue his hobby of sketching and painting professionally and is also open to going back to TV or doing a web-series as long as it's not a rehash.

Prod him on Alone 2, and he says he has nothing against sequels. "I did Hate Story 3, it was fun, but I want to steer clear of erotic thrillers for the moment," he asserts, pointing out that his next release is 3 Dev, a contemporary spin-off on the Holy Trinity with Ravi Dubey as Brahma, Kunal Roy Kapur as Shiva and him as Vishnu. "It's a roller-coaster, we haven't stopped laughing." He's starting a big banner film this summer, but refuses to reveal details.

So we move back to Bipasha? Where's the next vacation? "I'd love to go to Hawaii and once I reach there I'll croon, 'Yellooow ya'll! Its meee...'" he laughs. Hmmm, now we know why Bipasha calls him Monkey!
