I'm actually surprised, lol. Akhilendra Mishra was one actor who I felt was the worst chosen guy out of the entire cast. In my opinion he couldn't act, particularly when he had to show emotion. He would squeal when he was shouting and have that raspy edge to his voice that ruined the otherwise powerful scenes. I love Jayaram as Ravan. He is very professional in his acting and makes us hate Ravan without being annoyed the hell out of him.

But I do agree that they could have chosen someone older. Ravan was after all 1000s of years old by the time he abducted Sita. He was no youth, and although he was supposed to be handsome he was not young.

Arvind Trivedi remains the best Ravan to date IMO. He may not have been dashingly handsome like Karthik, but he got the nuances of Ravan down to a T.

Arpit Ranka would make an amazing Indrajit, but he doesn't look like Karthik's son. 😆 He'd look like his younger brother. Granted, any actor will probably look like his younger brother, but Arpit is better off as Duryodhan, lol.

You know who I want to see as Indrajit? I think Gurmeet would be perfect for the role! Till date he has played only positive characters, different though they may be, and I'd love to see him in a gray-shaded role like Indrajit's. It would be even better if Debina played Sulochana, and I'd get to see my favorite duo playing opposite each other in yet another mytho. ☺️

But Gurmeet wouldn't look like Karthik's son either, so I know it's probably not gonna happen. 😆

I actually liked akhilendra a lot , although arvind trivedi will be the benchmark.

the best part i liked about his acting was when he displayed his frustration after loosing one after the other battle , sometimes it was comical too see that.

Comical he definitely was! 😆😆 I always laugh during his scenes with Sita. He used to do these weird things like smash his fists together, thrown temper tantrums like a kid, no wonder Sita never took him seriously. 😆

Arvind Trivedi was amazing. On the one hand, he made us feel sorry for him whenever each and every one of his relatives died, but on the other hand, he made us also hate him for what he did to Sita. He brought out so many emotions at one time, and that's why I think he was so perfect in the role.

Karthik, talented as he is, cannot do that because his character is written very one dimensional. He's a villain and that's it. None of his good qualities are being shown, and because of that Karthik, no matter how talented he is, can ever make us empathize with him.

IDK, I can't see Ankit Arora in that role. But I saw pictures of his new role in Ashoka, and he does look very evil there so maybe he can pull it off.

Vije Bhatia, who played Bharat in NDTV Ramayan (loved him in that role) played Indrajit in Zee Tv Ramayan, but he was really bad there, no offense to him. Negative characters are just not cut out for him.
