What a fabulous chapter is 19. You have so brilliantly written both their inner turmoil, anguish and pain. It's so true that a woman always feels dirty when touched in this manner but as sanskaar truly sad Bhagvad Gita does not become impure if touched by a sinner.
They both draw strength from each other, they are the pillars of support for each other. Such pure and intense relation is difficult to find. Sanskaar is more in pain as he clearly feels guilty for not keeping up his promise to always protect her and for no harm to come to her. In his impulsiveness to help the person in the market they were put in that situation.
I am sure if he lays his hands on devendra, sanskaar will tear him apart. Eagerly waiting for the next.

Chapter 19:
Pawan, sensible, sensitive & thoughtful as always sets up a tent for Swara right next to Sanskaar's, an indirect acknowledgement of Swara's position in not only Sanskaar's life but also among his men😳 She is special & in their eyes is nearly equal to their commander😳

Swara's pain is so 😭 No one can even begin to understand what she is going through. But even here she is lost in her pain only till the time she sees Sanskaar's pain. Once she realizes that he might be hurt by her behaviour she immediately sets out to reassure him forgetting all about her trauma. Each of them focuses on the other completely, before they can find some relief for themselves they need to know that the other person is not hurting Do these two even realize what a treasure they have found in one another?

"Is the Gita unclean because the sinner touches it?"👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 What a beautiful & meaningful line Shru😳

Oh his poor men😆 I guess very soon they are going to stop questioning their leader's actions when it comes to the lady😆

Vali😆 now I can call them Vaanar Sena😆 Sushena is alive

Oh so DP is capable of something intelligent. But then you underestimated Sanskaar's & Pawan's men taklu buddhe😈

Till you brought in Swara's POV it did seem like she was blaming Sanskaar... at least partially. I was so scared but thank God that is not the case.

That whole marham - patti scene was intimate & beautiful. It took me back to when Swara had taken care of his wounds in the Haveli. Good touch there with Sanskaar informing Swara about the opium in the medicine rather than assuming he knew what was best for her. The amount of faith this girl has in him in spite of everything is mind - boggling. She is asking him to stay with her even after knowing about the opium in the drug...such complete trust😳

I am so happy that Sanskaar stayed back. Duniya jaaye bhaad mein. If Swara needs him, he will be there irrespective of what anyone says or thinks. As always her wish is his command😳

Lanny dearest xoxo

Please don't tell Viji to go on more trips 😲. Do you even know how sleep deprived I feel?! 😆

I was so waiting for you to drool over YOUR Pawan 😉, you have been awarded PKJ as yours in this FF so of course the expectations from your views are the highest! I liked that idea of these hardy warriors trying to be all sensitive and as you say, acknowledging Swara's place even before they have met her, perhaps mainly based on poor Sushena's testimony 😳.

Your right- only the victims of such heinous attacks every really bear the brunt of the after effects and it is heartbreaking to think of all those terrible emotions to deal with, whereas the perpetrators usually feel nothing that they should. And for Swara yes, she is one of those that seeing other people's pain always snaps her out of her own in a way. It's not good if you get people who take advantage of that but here Sanskaar of course won't- he will make sure he heals her too but I felt it necessary to give her some spur to enable her to start to accept the beginning of the moving on process and what better way than to make her see Sanskaar's pain and crushing guilt and then to her absolve him too. What happened isn't the "fault" as such of anyone but the evil they encountered. We cannot get through life by blaming- ourselves or others but it's always easier said than done. I think these two get that the other is a treasure but are so charmingly blind to how much they themselves are 😳

Thank you for liking that line. There were other variations but given how deep Sanskaar's feelings for Swara are, I felt this suited them 😳.

Oh the men and their plight makes me laugh so much! First their usually cool as a cucumber leader was screaming and carrying his princess and not letting anyone near her. Then he wants water heated at that time and a bath being made up in a tented camp in the middle of the desert 😕😆. Me wonders what more stunts Mr General will expect of them next?! 😉😆. And yes, best they don't ask too much!!

YESSS!!! I was so waiting for someone to spot the Vanar Sena link!! It had to be you- mmmwah. Let's see if any others crop up 😉. Sushena is barely alive yes:).

DP is in his own way an able King and whilst not having the dynamic brilliance of Sanskaar he is clever so not beyond reason that he can play a strategic game too but as you say, Pawan was too clever for him on that and the rest of the men too didn't fall in that trap 😃

Ah yes, at first I didn't express Swara's PoV as I felt she was simply trying to process and then I wanted to tell it through Sanskaar's eyes but no, I didn't want to show any blame games. Swara is too intelligent to not understand that it wasn't Sanskaar's fault in that sense. If she were to blame him for that, she would have to for him kidnapping her but of course that was to save her in the first place. As I said above- the blame lies only with the perpetrator and the reckoning too should be only his.

Glad you liked the healing scene. Yes it had echoes of their time in the Haveli but of purse with far more serious overtones and issues to deal with this time, plus the whole two way process this time. Ah yes, we have discussed how men deciding they know best for someone is a turn off, even if they may know better 😆 . And aha- you picked up the complete surrender/ trust angle. It is so intrinsic now- she knows that he would never take advantage of her or do anything to harm her. It need not be said between them but they both know it so I wanted Sanskaar to have that too- her handing her trust to him yet again, a strong statement of absolving him again too 😳.

Spot on about the staying the night scene. I wanted this whole- the world can go to hell sense too, Sanskaar is strong enough not to care beyond a point on that. It's this beautiful pull of he fears for her reputation but cannot resist her and doesn't want to. As I said, he needs her as much as she does him and the only thing that would have stopped him would be her but she so needed his presence and his comfort, how could he deny her and himself that? 😳

Loads of love as ever xoxo

First let me thank you for updating this chapter so quickly.
Waiting for this chapter was unbearable .

You just brought to life Swasan's pain and guilt through your words.
Swara feeling dirty and scrubbing herself red to get rid of the creep's touch was heart rending .
You have genuinely described what a women would feel after going through such a traumatic experience.Swara wanting to fall into Sanskar's protective embrace but holding herself back thinking herself to be shamed and dirty was really sad.
And poor Sanskar was so upset mistakenly thinking that Swara was flinching away from him when he tried to hold her hand.Sanskar feeling guilty for being the reason for Swara's pain and then breaking down and sobbing was heartbreaking. And the part where Swara inspite of being in such pain caresses Sanskar's hair was beautiful.

Glad that you brought back Sushena alive. With Pawan and Sushena by his side Sanskar will be much more stronger while facing his enemy.

As always, eargerly waiting for your next update.

Dear Viny

Don't thank me hon- I thank you all for loving the story and always reading it and leaving me such kind feedback!

I am glad you felt you could connect to what I wanted to portray. It was a rather difficult chapter to express in terms of the deep pain, guilt, trauma etc following such a horrific incident. I do feel that the heartbreakingly sad but natural reaction of a woman to such an assault would be to feel unclean. It matters not that she of course isn't and shouldn't but that is how she would feel. And it would also be natural then to gravitate to the person they love so much and trust and sense can make it better somehow but then wham- there comes the guilt about whether that makes them somehow "immoral". I wanted these two to get past that as otherwise they cannot start to recover. Sanskaar was burning in his own hell and I wanted them both to understand that neither had that to fear which they were. There was no disgust or revulsion of any sort- only love, pure and unadulterated. I am so glad you liked the touch of her caressing his hair. 😳.

Sushena is barely alive but hanging in for now. And yes, Sanskaar does need his men to be able to fight so it was time to reunite them 😃.

I'll begin working after work on the next part:).

Lots of love

Shru xoxo

Friends are true blessing, and a friend like pawan who is a pillar of support and understanding ,lucky sanskaar to have him.

swara my heart goes out to her,you have rightly captured the emotions of an abused girl.
Its unfortunate that the victim feels shame and disgust when it should be the violator.
The feeling of self loathing and disgust continues to haunt unless your loved ones support you.

its unfortunate that men like devendra still exist in the form of neighbour or relative who think its okay to violate a womans sanctity.

Thankfully swara has sanskaar whose love and compassion will help her come out of her trauma.

Nevertheless worst of situation make a woman much stronger. It is that basic spirit of every woman which makes them fight against all situations.

As for sanskaar he is not gonna spare that filthy man.
He has to set a lot of things right.

Am eagerly waiting to know his next plan of action.😊

Dear Fatma xoxo

Thanks so much for your kind comments. I am glad you liked this chapter 😃.

Indeed, true friends are worth their weight in gold and God knows Sanskaar can do with those! I am really pleased and relieved everyone feels I was able to handle Swara's experience and what she would feel in a sensitive manner. It is so hard to really try and express what an abuse victim would feel and I was anxious to make it as realistic as possible but not lose the human side to it. You are absolutely right. The victim always suffers and the perpetrators generally feel nothing as they are rotten or soul dead anyway. But yes, only with love and understanding can someone overcome and I wanted to show that here- Sanskaar will never let her down. You are also very right about the getting stronger part. My thinking is that by going through somehting so terrible and coming out at the other end- a couple would forge a bond that would go beyond the physical- marriage, love confessions, even love making- at some point, the spiritual link created by something like this trumps all that. I hope my ramblings are making sense!

You will see what comes next in the next chapters 😃

Thanks again for your support:)

Love,

S X

A massive mmmwah for the as usual excellent quote share and then the comment on the title! I always do wait for you to notice on some titles- most don't tend to but I think you and I share the same fascination- to me it's like a tantalising preview to a book so if I can get it right, it pleases me hugely:)

UnRes Page 26 and after reading your comment above, I unashamedly went gaga over the title - once again.😳
And yes, I seem to have missed out on some titles (I think I could not think of adequate words ) 😭

Shru my dear 🤗

Just finished reading PART 19 of this story yaar 😃😃 And it was awesome and mind blowing..👏

The way you portrayed the broken emotions of Swara and Sanskaar was heart wrenching..😭😭 I was feeling their pain, all the while I was reading this update..😲

Swara's is in a real frozen state, and it will take time to melt down to the original state..She thinks that she is dirty with the feeling of that brute of a man Devendra still hovering around her being.. The way she tried to wildly scrub his feel off her body..!! 😲Oh my god, I can't even imagine it..Poor Swara😭

But Sanskaar thinks that she is in this state all because of him..He is feeling extreme guilt and remorse, for doing this to her..Poor Sanskaar..My heart went out to him, just like Swara's did..She thinks so highly of him..She even thinks that he is too great to be real..😳 Its true na..Really great characterization of Sanskaar,👏 yaar Shruti ..🤗

The way they were both trying to help heal each other was simply great..I really love the deepening chemistry between them..

And I loved the way they slowly went to sleep in each other's arms.. all thanks to that sedating medicine..

Hey Nainu 🤗

Thank you, thank you!! So glad you liked it!

It was a painful part yes, but I wanted everyone to see the beauty in their shared pain too, which thankfully seems like has happened! Swara's reactions I thought were typical of abuse victims, as wrong as it is and however misplaced . That whole wanting to get clean is a gut reaction and equally gut wrenching to think about 😭

Sanskaar is flogging himself endlessly and he needed Swara to tell/ show him she doesn't blame him although he still will in his heart, perhaps forever. Sanskaar is the perfect man no? And of course Swara sees that 😳

I am so pleased you felt that connect and the deepening of their relationship to a much more intense level, not in a sexual way but more spiritually and the passion that comes from the spirit, although the underlying physicality is of course very much latent anyway. The sedative- only Swara had that, not Sanskaar 😃. He would want to be alert enough to be awake should she need him 😳 but I wanted Swara to have whatever help she could get as to sleep after trauma is a task in itself- know from personal experiences!

I hope you will like 20 😳. Lots of love hon xoxo

Unres...
I really did not expect an update this week and was disappointed considering I am on a short break before I get into preparations for my finals and wanted to leave a long over due comment...So, u can imagine my reaction when I saw the PM for it! 😆

Oh God, Shru! 😭 How do you do it?!
I had to take two minutes get over my speechlessness after reading that!

It was so beautiful. While the first part was sad, the second one was so hopeful. I felt emotionally drained reading the first one because your words just do a great job of making us feel the extent of Swara's trauma and Sanskaar's guilt 👏 You potrayal of their vulnerable state was bang on ❤️

Coming to Pawan and Sanskaar...Oh, how I love the bond that they share. You know that I was really wary about Pawan in the start, but I'm really glad with the way you have characterized him. Good to see someone who is so loyal to Sanskaar amidst all the betrayal ❤️ Loved the silent understanding he has of the situation between Swara and Sanskaar!

And even Sanskaar's soldiers are so thoughtful. They did their best to make Swara's tent feminine and comfortable and arranged a bath for her 😆 After the amount of disgusting men in the last few chapters, this was needed

Coming to my most favorite part of the chapter, Swara and Sanskaar tending to each other. How intense was that! ❤️
The breakdown that Sanskaar had leading to Swara's realization that he didn't think of her as unclean (😡) was written beautifully. I loved that line about the Gita ❤️
And when Swara asked Sanskaar to stay back and he did uncaringly even thgh he was reluctant at first due to his guilt and abt the soldiers...another beautiful moment
Needless to say, I was totally fangirling when they slept together wrapped in each other's arms 😳❤️😆

God, I'm in love with this chapter, Shru. Its perfect how they have their reasons for staying apart but they know they need each other to heal more than anything and finally give in to that! Take a bow 👏

Waiting to know what the next chapter has in store for us! Updat soon, Shru! Lots of love 🤗

"Time doesn't heal anything . It just teaches you to live with the pain." How aptly said.
Hi Shruti, this chapter was a painful one but also a beautiful one . One line which stood out for me was "Is the Geeta unclean because a sinner touched it?" This will be forever etched in my heart.
I have absolutely no words to describe how this chapter affected me. God I cried!! and feel emotionally drained. And I have no words to describe how gifted you are!!
"That moment when you can actually feel the pain in your chest from seeing or hearing something that breaks your heart." That's what they they are feeling. Each other's pain.
And one more thing, the society and the world can go to hell. If Swara needs him, Sanskar will remain with her.
Please heal them Shruti as much and as quickly as you can.
